ICE agents made another solid haul of criminal illegal immigrants in Minneapolis over the weekend, including some truly vile specimens like child abusers and drug dealers, right in the middle of what is shaping up to be the biggest immigration enforcement push Minnesota has ever seen.
And get this: the operation is about to get even bigger, with up to another 1,000 agents reportedly on the way to reinforce the effort.
Among the latest batch rounded up and facing removal are a Somalian national with a rap sheet full of credit card fraud and drug trafficking, a Mexican citizen previously popped for child cruelty and battery, and a Thai illegal alien caught with 200 tablets of ecstasy, according to officials speaking to The Post.
Here are just a few of the charming individuals ICE bagged:
Mohamud Farah Mohamed, a criminal illegal alien from Somalia with arrests for multiple counts of credit card fraud, drug possession, controlled substance possession, and drug trafficking. Final order of removal issued in 2022.
Saeb Sivixay, of Laos, with three prior convictions for selling amphetamines, plus assault and contributing to a minor’s delinquency. His final removal order dates back to 2009.
Ignacio Gonzalez-De La Rosa, illegal from Mexico, previously arrested for child cruelty and battery.
Ever Joel Lopez Del Cid, previously arrested for carrying a weapon, aggravated assault, and obstructing justice.
Miguel Salvador-Reyes, Mexican national, arrested previously for cruelty toward a child.
Mario Yubany Fuentes-Sanchez, criminal illegal from Honduras, previously arrested for terroristic threats and domestic violence.
Tong Sphabmisay, criminal illegal from Thailand, convicted for possession of 200 tablets of Ecstasy.
Danny Yasmani Suares Munoz, criminal illegal from Ecuador, previously arrested for multiple counts of domestic violence and aggravated assault. This guy illegally entered the U.S. in July 2023 and was released into the country under the Biden administration.
Ansar Abdullahi Samatar, criminal illegal from Somalia, previously arrested for dangerous drugs and possession of narcotics.DHS has been naming and shaming these "worst of the worst" as Operation Metro Surge rolls on, undeterred by the usual suspects.
You know the drill: rioters and sanctuary-city politicians screaming bloody murder, especially after last week's deadly incident where Renee Good was killed when she veered her SUV into the path of an ICE agent while trying to flee after blocking the street.
Here’s the money quote from Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin: “As rioters and sanctuary politicians demonized and attempted to obstruct our brave ICE law enforcement, they continued to remove the worst of the worst from Minnesota.”
“We will not let rioters or sanctuary politicians slow us down from arresting and removing the worst of the worst from Minnesota neighborhoods.”
Over 2,000 immigration agents have flooded the Twin Cities in the last week, the largest such operation in regional history, and they've already netted hundreds of arrests. More are coming, and the bad guys keep getting scooped up.
Here are some scenes from the ongoing Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis, showing ICE agents in action amid the tension:
The agency is dead serious about finally deporting these criminal thugs, some of whom have had final removal orders hanging over them for more than two decades. About time someone got serious.
