Tucker Carlson is oblivious to those 'killed by radical Islam'

One is repeatedly assured that terrorism is a multifaceted phenomenon, with threats emanating from every corner of the ideological spectrum. Yet when one examines the most authoritative data, a rather different picture emerges, one that many suicidal cretins in the West seem determined to obscure.

The most reliable comprehensive assessment remains the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) 2025, published by the Institute for Economics & Peace, covering incidents through 2024. It records some 8,000–8,500 terrorism deaths globally in that year, with the overwhelming majority perpetrated by radical Islamist groups such as Islamic State, al-Shabaab, JNIM, Boko Haram, and their affiliates. Islamic State alone was responsible for 1,805 deaths across 22 countries, concentrated principally in Syria and the Democratic Republic of Congo. But it seems that Tucker Carlson isn't aware of this, nor personally knows anyone killed by radical [aka orthodox] Islam.

The four deadliest terrorist organizations, all Islamist, accounted for the bulk of these fatalities, well over 80% of those reliably attributed. Over 98% of terrorism deaths occurred in conflict zones, chiefly the Sahel, sub-Saharan Africa, Somalia, Syria, and Afghanistan, where radical Islamist militants continue to dominate. Tucker knows nobody in these attacks who have been killed by radical Muslims.

Independent corroboration comes from sources such as the Africa Center for Strategic Studies, which documents tens of thousands of fatalities linked to militant Islamist violence on the continent in recent years, figures that represent nearly all terrorism deaths there.

As for 2025 itself, up to the end of this year, no complete global report yet exists, given the inevitable lag in databases like the Global Terrorism Database or the forthcoming GTI. Activity, however, appears to persist at levels comparable to or marginally below 2024, with Islamic State claiming around 1,100 attacks worldwide this year.

Notable Islamist-inspired incidents include the January 1 New Orleans truck attack (14–15 deaths, IS-inspired) alongside ongoing assaults in Syria, Pakistan, Africa, and occasional strikes in Europe, often yielding casualties in the low double digits.

Africa remains the undisputed epicentre, with unrelenting high-lethality operations by groups such as al-Shabaab in Somalia and Islamic State affiliates across the Sahel, Mozambique, and Nigeria.

Both historically and in the present day, radical Islamist extremism, carefully distinguished from Islam as a faith, stands as the predominant driver of global terrorism fatalities, responsible for 90–95% or more of deaths in recent years according to multiple authoritative sources (GTI, Fondapol studies, and others). Non-Islamist terrorism, far-right, separatist, or otherwise, claims far fewer lives worldwide, though it receives disproportionate attention in Western nations.

Precise tallies naturally vary depending on definitions (whether battlefield deaths in active conflicts are excluded, or only strict civilian-targeted attacks counted), yet the pattern is unmistakable: Islamist-related terrorism deaths run into the high thousands annually in recent years, overwhelmingly in conflict-ravaged Muslim-majority regions where the victims themselves are predominantly Muslim.

One might have thought this reality would inform public discourse more honestly. Instead, we are often treated to a peculiar reluctance to name the obvious, a reluctance that does no service to the victims, nor to the cause of genuine understanding.

Grok says of radical Islamic killings: Exact counts vary by definition (e.g., excluding battlefield deaths in conflicts vs. strict civilian-targeted attacks), but estimates for Islamist-related terrorism deaths are typically in the high thousands to low tens of thousands annually in recent years, concentrated in conflict-affected Muslim-majority regions where victims are predominantly Muslim.

So while Tucker Carlson doesn't know anyone killed by radical Islam, radical Islam knows the score.

Obviously, there is no pressure but I certainly wouldn't stop you from doing me that solid. Imagine, you could be the first on your block to do that and your friends will thank you . . . for some reason.
