Iris Haim is willing to give Israel to Hamas via surrender

Iris Haim, a grieving mother whose son Yotam was tragically killed by the IDF in a colossal screw-up, is out here saying Israel should just throw in the towel to Hamas to save the remaining hostages. Yes, you read that right--she's ready to wave the white flag to a terrorist group and damn the consequences when Hamas is in control.

Haim's reasoning is that Israel has been bending over for Hamas for years before the October 7 slaughter, so why not keep the tradition going to get those hostages back, because once you surrender, peace will come.

And if you believe that, you're as gullible as Charlie Brown kicking Lucy's football.

Here's her exact words, and brace yourself, they hit hard: "We surrendered to Hamas for 20 years – we gave and gave and gave some more. Now we must release those who can still be saved." She isn't mincing words since she's been through hell. Her son is gone, and she's blunt about it: "For me and my family, it's too late – Yotam won't return."

But she's still all in for the others still out there.

"Surrender? I am willing to surrender – for the hostages. For the last shred of dignity that remains for families like mine, who still have hope."

Imagine the oodles of dignity Israelis will have bestowed upon them if they surrender to Hamas.

This isn't some abstract policy debate for her. This is personal, and you can feel the gut-punch in her words. She's calling out the stalled negotiations, pointing out the hostages are basically "walking skeletons" at this point, but is it really going to change things for the better if Israel surrenders?

Of course not. This will only become another piece of history in the anti-Semitic cycle of Jew-hatred that has existed for millennia.

Her frustration’s palpable while her reasoning is flawed: "What kind of negotiations are taking place now to release hostages who already look like walking skeletons?" She's done with the excuses, done with the delays. She wants a decision now, before it's too late for the others, like Rom, Nimrod, Evyatar, Alon, and the rest. "I refuse to let them die in captivity like my son," she says, and you can’t miss the desperation in that.

What she regrettably isn't seeing is that this Hamas strategy will only be used again and again, and there will be other hostages in the future. Even worse, Hamas as victor will not be kind to the Jews.

Haim is not blind to the cost. She knows there's a price to pay, but her son has already paid the ultimate one.

So yes, Iris Haim's ready to deal with the devil [literally] if it means saving those still breathing. But what will be her strategy to deal with hostages in the future? After all, the strategy is working for Hamas.

But who can blame her--she lost her son and I personally know how that feels.
