Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei just gave President Donald Trump’s “unconditional surrender” demand a hard pass on Wednesday, and he didn’t mince words. Posting on social media, Khamenei basically told the Trump crew to take their “imposed peace” and shove it where the sun don’t shine.
“The Iranian nation also firmly stands against any imposed peace. The Iranian nation will not capitulate to anyone in the face of coercion,” he wrote, practically spitting fire through his keyboard.
Meanwhile, Trump was out there at a press conference, flexing like a reality TV star, demanding a ceasefire and dropping a cryptic “we may or may not” join Israel in hammering Iran. Classic Trump: vague enough to keep everyone guessing, bold enough to make headlines.
Not to be outdone, Iran’s UN delegation came out swinging, throwing shade like it’s their day job. “Iran does NOT negotiate under duress, shall NOT accept peace under duress, and certainly NOT with a has-been warmonger clinging to relevance,” they posted, basically calling Trump a washed-up instigator who’s lost his fastball.
