California Senator Manhandled and Ejected from Noem’s Presser in LA Anti-ICE Riot Chaos

In a scene straight out of a political thriller, California’s far-left Senator Alex Padilla, (D), was unceremoniously hauled out of a press conference by authorities after he tried to hijack Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s remarks on the raging anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.

The Democrat’s stunt didn’t just fall flat and it ended with him being frog-marched out with his hands in the air like a common antifa thug without a black umbrella.

Padilla, apparently emboldened by the left’s obsession with undermining law enforcement, stormed into Noem’s press conference and started shouting over her. Noem, cool as ever, didn’t even flinch. She continuing her address like the professional she is.

Just moments before the Democrat's disruption, Noem dropped a truth bomb, declaring that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “is staying here to liberate this city from the socialist and the burdensome leadership that this governor and this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into this city.” That’s the kind of straight talk that makes California’s ruling class squirm.

The authorities weren’t playing games with this cretin. They moved in swiftly, ordering Padilla to raise his hands as they escorted him out of the room.

Fox News reporters on the scene said the senator was briefly detained by FBI personnel, though Noem later met with him privately for what she called a “cordial and beneficial” 10-15 minute chat. They even exchanged phone numbers, with Noem saying Padilla had concerns about ICE operations but that they’d opened a line of communication.

“Things are OK between the two of them,” she told Fox News. How magnanimous of her to entertain the guy who just tried to derail her presser.

Predictably, California’s perpetually aggrieved oily Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom couldn’t resist chiming in on X, clutching his pearls over Padilla’s brief detainment.

“@SenAlexPadilla is one of the most decent people I know,” Newsom whined. “This is outrageous, dictatorial, and shameful. Trump and his shock troops are out of control. This must end now.” Shock troops? What a jerk. Maybe he’s just upset that Noem’s actually doing something about the chaos his policies helped create.

Padilla, for his part, tried to spin the incident to say that he was just doing his job. In a statement, his team of commies claimed he was “performing Congressional oversight in Los Angeles,” pompously noting, “Senator Padilla is currently in Los Angeles exercising his duty to perform Congressional oversight of the federal government’s operations in Los Angeles and across California.”

According to the statement, he was just trying to “ask the Secretary a question” when he was “forcibly removed by federal agents, forced to the ground and handcuffed.”

Bull crap. Maybe next time, don’t barge into a press conference and try to make it about you.

Here’s the kicker: less than 24 hours earlier, the self-promoting senator was yanked from the Congressional Baseball Game in D.C. to rush back to California because of the riots. He was supposed to be playing first base, but instead, he’s out here playing the victim card.

If this is what “Congressional oversight” looks like, maybe it’s time for Padilla to rethink his approach. Meanwhile, Noem’s out there showing what real leadership looks like with a calm, collected demeanor and is unafraid to call out the left’s disastrous policies. California could use more of that and less of Padilla’s grandstanding.
