Far-left fertility clinic bomber had crazy "anti-pro-life manifesto"

Buckle up, folks—Palm Springs, California, just got rocked by a car bomb outside a fertility clinic, and the feds are pointing fingers at a 25-year-old with a chip on his shoulder and a manifesto to match. This ain’t your average Saturday night.

The suspect? Guy Edward Bartkus, a Twentynine Palms local, now presumed dead in the fiery explosion that lit up the parking lot of American Reproductive Centers (ARC). U.S. Attorney BiIVF,ll Essayli didn’t mince words in his X post Sunday, laying it out: “Bartkus is believed to be the individual who is deceased at the scene. Investigators are working to positively identify the remains. An anti pro-life manifesto believed to be authored by the suspect has been located and is being examined by the FBI.”

Essayli added, “We are happy to report that no embryos at the IVF center were damaged by the explosion. This case is being treated as an intentional act of domestic terrorism. The investigation is ongoing.” Yeah, you read that right—domestic terrorism.

The blast went off Saturday, turning a silver Ford Fusion (plate 8HWS848, if you’re keeping score) into a fireball. The ARC clinic and its IVF lab took a beating—think “extensive damage,” per The Los Angeles Times, with windows shattered blocks away. Miraculously, ARC says all eggs, embryos, and reproductive materials are “fully secure and undamaged.” No staff were hurt, though a few folks caught some shrapnel.
The FBI’s Los Angeles crew jumped in, dropping Bartkus’s name and a photo of the guy on X, begging for tips: “Please call 1800 CALLFBI with information or upload relevant video/images at https://t.co/CnxyRN1YIv.” They even raided a spot in Twentynine Palms, sniffing out connections to the explosion.

Akil Davis, the FBI’s L.A. honcho, got real at a presser: Bartkus “had nihilistic ideations and this was a targeted attack.” Oh, and get this—the guy was apparently trying to livestream his handiwork. “We believe he was attempting to livestream it and, yes, that is also part of our investigation,” Davis said. Twisted, right?

ARC’s not backing down, posting on Facebook that they’ll be “fully operational on Monday morning” and thanking the Palm Springs cops, firefighters, and community for having their back. “We appreciate the incredible support from our patients and local community, as well as the swift action of Palm Springs Police, Fire, and emergency responders,” they said.

Feds say there’s no ongoing threat, even with some locals evacuated. But a manifesto-toting nihilist blowing up a fertility clinic? That’s a wake-up call. Stay sharp, people.
