While China is building up their military, they are upset with President Donald Trump's proposal for Golden Dome, a defensive missile system that would intercept incoming missiles from them. It's like a boxer upset with his opponent blocking his punches.
Golden Dome has a "strong offensive nature and violates the principle of peaceful use in the Outer Space Treaty," Chinese Foreign Minister Mao Ning said Wednesday.
Translation: America having a defense against our missiles is offensive to us and would only prolong a war.
"The project will heighten the risk of turning space into a war zone and creating a space arms race, and shake the international security and arms control system," Mao said. "We urge the U.S. to give up developing and deploying global anti-missile system."
"China is gravely concerned about this," she added. "We urge the U.S. to give up developing and deploying the global anti-missile system at an early date and take concrete actions to enhance strategic mutual trust between major countries and safeguard global strategic stability."

Just when China thought they would dominate the globe, President Trump comes along and screws up their plans. "It isn't fair," Mao said in Mandarin.
China and Russia have already put offensive weapons in space, such as anti-satellite capabilities that had the potential to take the U.S. offline and cripple their defenses. So here come Trump who plans to spoil their efforts and this isn't fair, as they see it.

Despite the efforts of China and Russia to control space, the Chinese claim it was the U.S. who was "obsessed" with offensive space dominance.
"The U.S., by putting itself first, and being obsessed with pursuing absolute security, violates the principle of, and diminishes, the security for all and undermines the global strategic balance and stability," Mao said.
What a joke! Of course the U.S. is putting itself first. That is exactly what a country is supposed to do. It's a virtue, not a crime.
