Now that Hamxs has been dismantled beyond recognition, Gazans are protesting the organization in great number. They are demanding peace and have suddenly become brave. In spite of the fact that some of these protesters have actually helped the IDF locate some of the hostages, nearly all of them had cheered on October 7, 2023 and many participated in the massacre.
This is too little, too late.
But there is good news beyond the protests. The IDF announced that Jabar Amar, aka Abu Ali, the founder of Hamxs, was reportedly killed on March 25, in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
