The Rafah Fire: what we now know

Since Hamas slaughtered Israeli men, women and children on October 7, 2023, they have been losing the ground war with Israel, but winning the propaganda war.

Over the weekend, the Israeli Air Force launched an attack in Rafah targeting two high-ranking Hamas leaders. The strike sparked a fire in a tent camp and it was discovered that the fire was the result of a secondary explosion, generally indicating that munitions were being stored in the area to cause such a situation.

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the chief military spokesman, said Tuesday the fighter jets fired two 17-kilo (37 pound) rockets to target the two senior Hamassholes and explained that such small munitions are incapable of causing the fire that killed those civilians. They are investigating and are currently looking into the possibility that weapons were being stored among Gazan civilians.

Palestinian so called health officials claim at least 45 people, around half of them women and children, were killed in Sunday’s strike. Obviously, the fire could have also been fed by cooking gas canisters and other material, but it's illogical to think that Israel would kill innocent civilians intentionally, because of the negative press they would follow that would feed into Hamas' dirty hands.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was the result of a “tragic mishap,” which could have been prevented if Hamas didn't use their voters as human shields.

Rear Adm. Hagari said that Israeli intelligence knew Hamas leaders responsible for the Tel Aviv attack were meeting inside two buildings which were then specifically targeted. These buildings were over 1.5 kilometers from the tent area known as the "Safer Zone."

Hamas claims that Israel intentionally targeted the civilians, but if that is true, how then were they able to eliminate the two Hamas leaders if they weren't hiding among civilians, or if Hamas wasn't storing munitions nearby?

Finally, phone calls were intercepted by Israel between Hamas militants confirming the secondary explosions and that there were munitions in the area.

Israel has enough to deal with and they certainly don't need more negative propaganda for Hamas to spoon-feed the useful idiots and anti-Semites in the West.

Why is it that Hamas can target civilians, burn women and their babies, and kill unarmed civilians, but Israel is the evil one in this war they never asked for but was promised by the Hamas charter simply because they hate Jews.
