Freed hostages at Tel Aviv rally tell of torture and other details under Hamas

"It was a horror movie," was how freed Hamas hostages described their ordeal at a rally in Tel Aviv on Saturday. They described the “hell” of captivity and called for the release of those still in Gaza and expressed their gratitude to be home.

Not all released hostages were in attendance but appeared on video. An entire new level of understanding and emotion was experienced in the latest of  a series of rallies that began before the recent weeklong cease-fire and partial hostage release.

“It was a horror movie,” said Danielle Aloni, 44, according to the Times of Israel. “There was no schedule. You sleep, you weep. Every day was an eternity.”

Aloni was released on Nov. 24, the first day of the cease-fire, along with her young daughter, Emilia, but worries deeply for relatives still being held among the 137 remaining in Gaza.

“People could die simply because they’ll decide to murder them,” said Aloni, describing what seems to have come from the movie "Schindler's List."

Holocaust survivor Yaffa Adar, 85, said that she and her fellow hostages endured “hell” — and called for continued efforts to free those still there, including her adult grandson, Tamir.

“I beg the decision-makers, get the children and everyone out,” Adar reportedly said. “I am a voice for many mothers and grandmothers asking ‘release the children now.’”

“I want to see them now,” she said. “Not when I’m in a coffin.”

The dribble-like release of hostages came to an abrupt halt on Friday, when Hamas claimed that Israel rejuected their offer to free a group of older men, rather than women and children. Does anyone in their right mind believe that nonsense? Every person counts to Israel.

Not surprisingly, some Democrats like Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) try to equate the atrocities of Hamassholes with the retaliation by Israel's IDF. She and the so called Squad, along with their anti-Semitic followers, are no different than the Nazis, a label they try to pin on Israel, the one country that takes more care than any other in history to minimize civilian casualties.

Free the hostages now.
