BREAKING: Multiple fatalities at FL store-gunman holed up inside: UPDATE

JACKSONVILLE, Florida -- Mayor Donna Deegan (D) was on the scene of a shooting where there were "a number of fatalities" News4Jax reported.

UPDATE: The latest reports are that there are 4 people dead and the shooter who left a manifesto at his mother's house.

The man was barricaded in a Dollar General on Kings Road near Canal Street where Mayor Deegan is on the scene with officials and District 13 State Representative Angie Nixon who represents the neighborhood.

News4Jax states that it's uncommon for a mayor to show hp at a scene like this unless it's a very high-profile case.

“This is unacceptable,” Deegan said. “One shooting is too much but these mass shootings are really hard to take.” 

But Deegan, being a Democrat, will likely use this opportunity not to denounce the shooter but will denounce the gun.

But in spite of her words and the fact that she is not accepting what he did, the gunman didn't listen and remains barricaded in the store.
