Stanford students want woke Dean who led heckling of federal judge fired

Students at Stanford Law School blasted the school and its woke Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion deans in the school's publication, "Stanford Review." The headline went straight to point: “Fire Tirien Steinbach.”

Here's what happened that led up to the students' ire. Steinbach is Stanford's Law Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Judge Kyle Duncan at the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals was attempting to give a speech at the school and was ruthlessly heckled and screamed at by students. When he asked for the administration to intervene, Steinbach went into a 6-minute diatribe stating that Judge Duncan was "literally denying the humanity of people."

Duncan's crime?

He refused to retroactively change court records to reflect that a child porn scumcrumpet and repeated sex offender Norman Varner decided after his trial to identify as female and demanded to be referred to as “Kathy Jett.” Duncan refused to change the record to accommodate him.

Although the university belatedly delivered a written apology to Duncan, many felt that it was weak, like an Ilhan Omar apology for an anti-Semitic statement, for example, and Steinbach suffered no repercussions for her unacceptable behavior.

The real kick in the gonads came after the university issued a letter to students who were upset about the interruptions, and were advised to seek mental help.

The letter was written by Tirien Steinbach!

Judge Duncan had to be escorted from the intended speech by armed marshalls to ensure his safety. This is what is happening to our so-called "elite" universities.

Fox News' Laura Ingraham host of the  eponymous "Ingraham Angle" tweeted:
Imagine if Tirien Steinbach was a conservative white male Stanford dean who had berated a federal judge appointed by Pres. Obama. Yeah, I can’t either.https://t.co/DrZj80Ggl3 pic.twitter.com/ZSbecohqcV

The Stanford Review is a student-run independent newspaper. The outlet’s article, credited to “multiple authors,” described their disgust with how the situation went down at a school that falsely touts its commitment to free speech:
Perhaps the only thing uglier than the Stanford Law School building is the events that took place there on Thursday. The Stanford Federalist Society’s event with Kyle Duncan, a judge on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, was disrupted by a mob of unruly law students and a Stanford DEI Dean who prevented the judge from speaking entirely.
The article did not forget to include the part about Steinbach:
… at the center of the debacle was not the group of unruly law students, but Stanford Law School’s own Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Tirien Steinbach.
These future lawyers say that this DEI Ass[ociate] Dean should suffer consequences for defaming Stanford's reputation. It also stated that the university's claims that it values free speech are baseless if the administration doesn't actually protect free speech.

The apology said that Stanford would take steps to prevent this from reoccurring again, but didn't say what those steps were going to be to keep this from happening in the future. One thing is certain, getting rid of Steinbach is a good first step.

The article also noted that Steinbach clearly planned for this whole thing to take place:
Someone who is so eager, at the behest of an unruly mob, to shut down free speech, which Stanford itself considers “a bedrock principle for the law school, the university, and a democratic society,” has no place as a Stanford dean. She helped engineer chaos with her email before the event, delivered prepared remarks interrupting his speech, took the spotlight for herself, and has shown no remorse since.
At least some Stanford students (hopefully the majority of them) recognize tyranny when they see it and are standing up against the woke leftists who are obviously unaware of what their tyrannical goals would achieve in the long run, because once those in power get what they want, the underlings lose what they had--unalienable rights and freedom.

The piece closes with a powerful argument:
If these law students are to be trained for bench and bar, it certainly should be with a deep respect for the bedrock principle of free speech. Steinbach’s actions not only degrade the principles of free speech but degrade the prestige and reputation of Stanford Law School itself.
This is a good case of where the children are teaching their teachers.

It's time to get rid of Steinbach and anyone else who would take away our free speech. Consider forwarding this on to a friend, especially those who care about this issue or may be affected by it.
