More than 2 dozen Dems join GOP in opposing Biden gas stove ban

The House of Representatives approved an amendment late Wednesday that prevents the Department of Energy (DOE) from implementing crazy new regulations on gas stoves that are virtually impossible to comply with and thus end their use. Fortunately, the GOP had help from over two dozen Democrats who understand how crazy is the concept.

The House vote 251 to 181 in favor of GOP Rep. Gary Palmer's (AL) amendment to a larger energy policy bill. Twenty-nine Democrats voted with the Republicans.

If the Biden administration had their way, only the Bidens and his administration would have gas stoves.

This had been a problem for the GOP ever since the Consumer Product Safety Commission suddenly decided that gas stoves presented health concerns. The idea although scrapped was soon followed by the DOE proposed regulation that would make the standards nearly impossible to reach and effectively ban most gas stoves.

Rep. Palmer heads the House Republican Policy Committee. He criticized his Democrat colleagues for mostly voting against his amendment in an interview with Fox News Digital.

"Despite all their words to the contrary, House Democrats are supportive of federal bureaucrats’ attempts to ban gas stoves. By voting against my amendment to prevent the Department of Energy from implementing its anti-natural gas agenda, they have shown themselves to be complicit," Palmer told the outlet.

"Clearly, the plan to ban gas stoves was already in the works even before federal bureaucrats said the quiet part out loud earlier this year," he said. "Republicans are meeting this attempt to dismantle American energy head on and will continue to empower Americans to choose what appliances belong in their kitchens, not have it dictated to them by a bureaucrat with a political agenda."

This is because the left is comprised of power hungry control freaks who want the ability to run our lives.

In a proposed rule posted online last month and a follow-up analysis of that rule, the department estimated that about half of the gas stoves on the market today would not meet the new standard. And even in those cases, nobody is getting sick from the stoves.

Palmer’s amendment, if implemented contingent on Republicans’ energy bill’s passage, will stop DOE Secretary Jennifer Granholm who ironically owns a gas stove, from implementing the new regulations and would prevent similar rules from being introduced.

About 38% of American households, or roughly 40 million, use natural gas to cook in their homes and as far as the Biden administration is concerned, they can go to hell--I'm not joking, man.

Two similar bills to halt the rule’s implementation were introduced by House Republicans earlier this month.

Push your local legislatures to support the ban on the ban, because if you ain't cookin' with gas, you might be doing it wrong.
