CO Club Q shooting suspect hit with 305 charges

The gunman alleged to have killed five people and injured 25  more at a Colorado Springs gay club in November is now facing 305 charges.

The shooter, age 22, sat with his public defender while the state presented their case, charging first- and second-degree murder, a bunch of first- and second-degree assault charges and "many counts of bias-motivated crimes."

Although the left immediately tried to use the tragedy to their benefit and blame homophobic white supremacists, it turns out that the shooter identifies him/her/she/he/it as non-binary, which is definitely not in the same ballpark as white supremacy. So the left left the story alone as it didn't fit their narrative.

The dickweed, Anderson Lee Aldrich, allegedly began shooting at the Club Q on the night of November 19 and kept firing at people for about six minutes until he was tackled and beaten by two men.

Five people were killed, including employees Daniel Davis Aston, 28, and Derrick Rump.

“I thought it was the music, so I kept dancing,” survivor Joshua Thurman told reporters. “Then I heard another set of shots and then me and a customer ran to the dressing room, got on the ground, locked the doors and called the police immediately. There were bodies on the ground, blood, broken glass, broken cups and outside it was worse,” he said.

Aldrich was arrested at the scene, and has been ordered held without bond.

The estranged child of MMA fighter-turned-porn performer Aaron Brink, the non-binary Aldrich is also the maternal grandchild of Randy Voepel, an outgoing California GOP state assemblyman who made headlines when he compared the Jan. 6 riot to the American Revolution.

Both Aldrich and his mother, Laura Voepel, 45, have a history of run-ins with the law. The day after the shooting, Voepel was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. [Fun Fact: she is not non-binary and prefers her sex with men.] She was allegedly warned "multiple times" at her home to "stop yelling" or she'd be arrested for disorderly conduct, according to a summons cited by KDVR.

A police officer said Voepel became combative and physically resisted when she was placed under arrest at about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 20. She was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, an “unclassified petty offense.” She also has three outstanding warrants for her arrest in California. But this is a pittance compared to her non-binary son, Andy.

Meanwhile, in court Tuesday, the state’s counsel warned that the case against Aldrich was “voluminous,” and that the prosecution may continue to amend charges in the coming weeks.
