Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Operation "Breaking Dawn" on Friday. The mission is to attack Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists in the Gaza Strip. Recent reports state that the IDF killed Tayseer al-Jabari, a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist commander who supervised terrorist forces and now will be supervising 72 virgins. The IDF mission comes after days of threats and preparations for attacks by the terrorist group.

The reports indicated PIJ was planning an attack on Israelis living near Gaza. Residents were forced into hiding in towns and villages and Israel followed up with arresting PIJ leader Bassam al-Saadi in Jenin on Monday night. They were locked up in their homes since Tuesday.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid stated bluntly, “Let everyone who rises to attack Israel know that we will reach him.”
