BREAKING: Alex Jones ordered to pay $4.1 million in Sandy Hook trial

Infowars gravel-voice host, Alex Jones, has been ordered to pay $4.1 million to the parents of one of the children killed in the mass shooting in 2012 at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, the jury ruled today.

Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, the parents of 6-year-old Jessie, who died in the massacre after a killer attacked his school. The massacre killed 20 students and six staff.

But after the attack, which made national news, Jones alleged the attack was a hoax, as he is wont to do with many events since this is how he makes his living.

Lewis and Heslin brought legal action against Jones and his conspiracy theory claims. They accused Jones of defamation. Jones' attorney, Andino Reynal admitted Jones made a "terrible mistake" an asked the jury to fine Jones $1.00, which would then be split between the split couple at half a buck apiece.

“He made a terrible mistake,” Reynal told jurors, NBC News reported. “That mistake was weaponized by the same political forces that had descended upon Sandy Hook when it happened.”

Well, he got burned for a lot more than a buck, but it's possible, and likely, that he will appeal. There is evidently some reports that Jones' lawyer for some reason, gave the prosecution Jones' SmartPhone with all its content in it. 

This might have credence as to why the case may have been tainted and an appeal might show this. 

In any case, there will likely be more to follow as this is a breaking story.
