Three additional suspects have been bagged after last week's shootout in Virginia Beach, Virginia and now there are six in custody.
The latest arrests were on Sunday after law enforcement acted on search warrants obtained in connection with three separate shootings Friday night in the city’s Oceanfront area, the Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk reported. [H/T Fox News]
The charges involved alleged gun sales and drug possession but aren't directly related to the previous three shootings.
Virginia Beach police Chief Paul Neudigate identified the three latest suspects in a report to the City Council:
Previously arrested gentlemen were identified as Ahmon Jahree Adams, 18; Nyquez Tyvon Baker, 18; and Devon Maurice Dorsey Jr., 20, each charged with seven counts of felony assault, illegally using a gun and recklessly handling a gun. These are young men who probably shoot people hold their gun sideways to look cool while unaware of the gun's inability to re-chamber a round due to the physics of the slide mechanisms.
"Some of these individuals were not unknown to the Virginia Beach Police Department," Neudigate told the City Council, using a double-negative to add to the confusion.
The Friday shootings left at least two people dead: Deshayla Harris, 29, an innocent bystander who suffered a gunshot to her head, and Donovon Lynch, 25, who was killed during a confrontation with a Virginia Beach police officer.
Harris was a former member of the cast of the reality TV series "Bad Girls Club," while Lynch was a cousin of Pharrell Williams, the music personality, who is from the area, the newspaper reported.
Gerald Scott Thomas II, 35, was charged with selling a firearm to a convicted felon, failing to perform a criminal history check prior to selling a firearm, being a convicted felon with a firearm and drug possession. All three gentlemen have ties to street gangs from which Virginia Beach recently confiscated 14 firearms, Neudigate said, according to the Virginian-Pilot.

Fortunately, nobody in the legacy media or others on the left ran onto Twitter to blame the shooting on white supremacists, but they also did not describe the race of the shooters involved, for some reason.
