Cuomo's numbers are circling the bowl at CNN

Chris "Don't Call Me Fredo" Cuomo has lost about 600,000 Comedy News Network viewers since his brother and comedy sidekick Andrew "Handy Andy" Cuomo became involved in a sexual misconduct scandal involving a bevy of women, and the nursing home scandal in which at least 15,000 nursing home residents died due to his mandate.

But Fredo only violates the network's conflict of interest rules when all seemed well with Andrew, and now he cited them as the reason for not covering the scandals.

The governor made nine appearances on Chris' show during the height of the pandemic, but suddenly he has become a persona non grata on the CNN comedy hour. Fredo refused to cover the nursing home death scandal and the sexual harassment scandals that have embroiled his brother. He chalks it up to the network's conflict of interest guidelines which evidently didn't exist before the scandals became actual news.

A mere 1.6 million viewers on average tuned into "Cuomo Prime Time" since the ban on Handy Andy went into effect in mid-February, according to Nielsen Media Research as reported by Fox News

From March 20 to June 24, 2020 the average viewership was 2.2 million viewers when the governor's popularity was in the stratosphere [like it was in the days of Michael Avenatti who CNN touted as presidential material] while the elderly in the state were dying like moths at a campfire. And all the while, Andrew Cuomo was writing a book on how wonderful he handled the coronavirus.

Now even the left is seeing the governor for the slug that he appears to be as he tried to cover up the deaths in his state, blaming them on nursing home staff, the families, everyone but himself in spite of his mandate to return COVID patients back to the nursing homes while they were still infected.

Now there are eight women [so far] who have accused the governor of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior. He denies all the claims and refuses to resign even after top members of his party asked him to do so. People like Chuck Schumer and Kirsten "Whichever Way the Wind Is Blowing" Gillibrand.

Dumb and Dumber

Andrew Cuomo has steadily refused to resign in the wake of the mounting scandals and the growing chorus demanding it, from voices such as senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer.

In 2020, 'Cuomo Prime Time' was the most-watched show for CNN, averaging 1.8 million viewers a night. The theme of the show was just two bro's having a blast. Fredo even used props, like a huge Q-tip to emphasize the size of Andy's nostrils. All this while folks in New York state were dying from COVID.

On his March 1, 2021 comedy show, Fredo addressed the elephant in the room.

"You're straight with me. I'll be straight with you. Obviously I'm aware of what is going on with my brother. And obviously I cannot cover it because he is my brother."

Obviously Andy was his brother even when he was covering him on his show.

On a positive note however, CNN's ratings overall are also down and is losing millions of viewers on average since President Trump left office. In fact, the average viewership is down almost 50 percent in the 24 to 54 age group, according to Nielsen, a percentage that coincidentally matches the number of working brain cells in the head of President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.
