Yemeni grocery stores in New York are planning to boycott the NY Post and to close in protest over Trump's quoting Ilhan Omar's statement about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in which she described it as "some people did something."
So the brilliant Yemeni businessmen plan to close their stores and thumb their beards and noses at Trump and not do any business until he says he's sorry to her. No matter how long it takes. No matter how much business they lose, they're not going to allow Trump to win this battle. One owner even volunteered to cut off several toes in protest. Another anonymous Yemenite promised to never get off of Welfare, which he laughed and said he wasn't really planning to do anyway.
The Yemeni American Merchants Association (YAMA) announced this week its push to have thousands of New York City's bodegas boycott the New York Post after the paper published a front page rebuking Rep. Ilhan Omar's comments about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Actually, they mostly quoted her own words--nothing needed to be rebuked--it was a given, especially when the paper also posted a photo of the Twin Towers ablaze after the planes, flown by Islamic jihadis, did their destruction.
In a letter, the organization wrote that the criticism that the Minnesota Democrat faces over the comments incite divisiveness and vitriolic invective against Muslims in the U.S., adding that New York as a community should not stand for that kind of religious attack.
Bull crap. It wasn't a religious attack at all by Trump, but I can't say the same for the 9/11 attacks.
“This rhetoric threatens the safety and well-being of Omar, Muslim leaders, and the larger Muslim American community at a time when Islamophobia is at an all-time high," the organization wrote in the letter.
Bull crap. Islamophobia is not at an all-time high. Anti-Semitism is at an all-time high if you go by something called facts.
We have come to a point where, if you speak out against an elected official, you are labeled a racist, bigot, Islamophobe. That is un-American and shuts down free speech. And speech is not violence, as the left would have you believe when it comes from someone with whom they disagree.
It wasn't Trump who spread hateful rhetoric--it's Ilhan Omar and others in her party. She has been getting away with her anti-American, anti-Semitic statements for a long time. She is a despicable person. But my calling her that is not a call for violence against her--she has the right to be a despicable POS and no conservative would ever think of wreaking violence against her for what she says.
I can't say the same for the left anymore.
If anyone is okay with this, they are probably a Democrat and a hypocrite all rolled up into one.
