AOC [Antifa's Official Congresswoman] (D and former bartender-NY) refuses to meet with the top executives from the big banks. It's typical that New York politicians meet to discuss issues as these banks provide hundreds of thousands of jobs to the local residents, ranging from bank tellers to investment bankers. These banks are responsible for contributing billions of dollars to the local economy, something that AOC doesn't seem to care much about based on how she scared Amazon from the city, which would have also provided about 25,000 high-paying jobs.
The banks executives in question, have been trying to meet with AOC since she took office in January.
Since the financial collapse in 2008 that led to the Great Recession with its economic suffering, many New York City progressive politicians, such as Comrade Bill de Blasio, have viewed banks as the enemy, and their CEOs at odds with them over tax policies.
The difference with AOC, however, is that she totally refuses to meet with them and this may be due less to the fact that she's a flaming socialist, and more to the fact that she's a flaming simpleton when it comes to the subject she majored in at college--economics.
She is probably concerned about not making a fool of herself yet again and would rather retain that mysterious, Bob Dylan-ish patina of pseudo-intellect, especially when she wears her glasses and says the word 'and' in two syllables.
“AOC is running a social movement against big money and the banks,” Democratic political consultant Hank Sheinkopf said. “She got away with chasing Amazon out of New York, and she isn’t afraid of JPMorgan and Citigroup, no matter how many people they employ in her district.”

Yes, give her enough power and time, and she will push out all big banks, big business and jobs out of the city meanwhile gaining total control of the toilet paper supply.
“The banks are the city’s biggest employers and it’s just idiotic that she won’t meet with us,” said a senior banking executive who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he or she is afraid of Antifa's violence.
