Ilhan Omar's constituents are unhappy with her anti-Semitism

There have been reports last week from various sources that Democrats in Minnesota are unhappy with Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-MN) anti-Semitic remarks and are thinking about a primary challenger to replace her. She has been in office three months and has already made a bad name for herself.

This week, CNN reported that Omar's constituents -- including those who share her Somali background and her Islamic faith -- are uneasy with her vile rhetoric and may be open to considering other options.

The Hill also reported last week that Minnesota Democrats were seeking a primary challenger for Omar, particularly local Jewish Democrats who have been shocked and offended by the Islamist's blatantly anti-Semitic comments since assuming office. She also accused her colleagues and others of having "dual loyalty" to both the United States and Israel -- a clear anti-Semitic smear that has been used many times in the past -- and accusing American politicians of getting rich taking money from pro-Israel lobbying group, AIPAC.

“There’s definitely some buzz going around about it, but it’s more a buzz of is anyone talking about finding someone to run against her than it is anyone saying they’re going to run against her or contemplate it. There’s definitely talk about people wanting someone to run against her,” a state senator in Omar's home district told the Washington, D.C.-based media outlet.

Over the weekend, the news seemed to be a wakeup call for Omar.

President Trump retweeted a story about Omar's political troubles, and Omar responded by accusing the President of trying to undermine her presence in Congress, a tactic she may have learned from her bff, Alexandria Obviously-Comatose, even though her real trouble is with her own party.

"You can't Muslim ban us from Congress!" the Muslim freshman Tweeted for Trump's perusal. But that misses the point because everybody thinks she sucks, even her fellow Muslims who view anti-Semitism "so 1939." People are growing weary over how she's handled her first few days in office.

“When David Duke of the Ku Klux Klan agrees with you,” Mohamed Ahmed, one of Omar's constituents, told the network, “you’re not doing something right.” Not to mention that she's buddies with Louis Farrakhan, a blatant anti-Semite and obvious piece of dog crap.

The four constituents, interviewed by CNN, agreed with moderate Democrats and Republicans who described Omar's statements about "dual loyalty" and AIPAC as hateful towards the Jewish people -- not mere criticism of Israel itself, or "Zionism."

"Omar Jamal, Steve Hunegs, Mohamed Ahmed and Avi Olitzky agree on the characterization of language Omar used. When Omar talked about Israel “hypnotizing” the world, they said it was anti-Semitic," CNN reported. "And when she questioned whether American lawmakers and lobbyists had loyalty to Israel, they said it was anti-Semitic. Local leaders want her to understand why her words were causing so much pain."

But she already knows that and doesn't give a rat's.

“(When you are elected,) you’re supposed to bring people together, you’re supposed to create a sense of unity instead of further dividing them and pitting one group against the other,” Omar Jamal, another constituent, said in the interview.

“I speak as a friend of Israel and a brother to the Palestinians by faith,” Jamal continued. “We believe in Palestinian rights and freedoms, but we will not do it denigrating our Jewish community.”

Good for Jamal.

That's bad news for Omar, who seemed like a "safe" Democrat -- she was elected from a very safe, "progressive" district by a comfortable 3-to-1 margin over her closest opponent. But if both Democrats and her constituents are considering abandoning her for a more rational candidate, that could spell trouble for candidates from even the most stable, reliable districts. Hey, it might even tell the nation that we don't accept mindless, uncalled for hatred of any group.

And to call out Omar for her anti-Semitic rhetoric does not make anyone an Islamophobe. In fact, the term 'Islamophobic' was coined to shut people up and stifle any discussion about the ideology of Islam, not Muslims who practice the religion.

It's one thing to criticize the politics and policies of Israel, and quite another to criticize the Jews.

I hope you'll follow Brain Flushings and have a few laughs while you get a conservative viewpoint. Politics is the new NFL without the mindless kneeling and this blog will both inform you and hopefully entertain you bigly.
