McDonald's employee charged with putting a peroxide-based cleaner in cop's drink

"Would you like fries with that order?"
A McDonald's worker has been charged with one count of aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer for allegedly putting a peroxide-based cleaner in the deputy's drink.

Trevor Hockaday, 22, a registered, card-carrying moron, was charged by Allen County police on Wednesday for putting the substance normally used to clean the restaurant's countertops, into the officer's drink on September 12.

Investigators say the deputy picked up the food from the McDonald's drive-thru while the young, brain surgery school dropout was working. Soon after the deputy drank the beverage, he experienced flu-like symptoms, KOAM TV reported.

"He thought he caught the bug, but we found out two weeks later when an employee came forward and told the police department," said Allen County Sheriff Bryan Murphy [aka: "Murph"] to the Witchita Eagle.

According to the Eagle, a coworker of Hockaday [his friends call him 'Hock a Loogie' because of what he does to the burgers just for kicks] came forward and said Hockaday added "four little squirts" of the cleaner to the cop's beverage.

"In today's day and age, not only us in law enforcement but citizens as a whole, there's enough going on out there that we have to worry about . . . now my guys are cautious about going through that drive through," Murph told the Wichita Eagle. "We all chose this line of work to protect and serve. Now my guys have that concern of is my food safe."

If convicted of the felony charge, Hockaday could face 4.5 years to 20.5 years in the slammer--that's 1.1 years to 5.1 years per little squirt.

The Iola McDonald's owner Glen Nichols told KOAM TV in a statement that his restaurant is working with authorities. He said in his statement:
"In our restaurants, nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of our customers. We are very disappointed by the allegations made regarding the behavior of one of our former crew members. This kind of behavior goes against our food safety standards and is not tolerated. [Good to know, Mickey Dee]. Our organization will take appropriate measures to gather facts and will work closely with authorities in their investigation."
It is unclear why the genius behind the takeout window spiked the deputy's drink, but the Vegas bookmaker odds are 80 to 1 that Hockaday is a leftist and a Bernie Sanders supporter.
