Calif. Psych Prof. Christine Ford claims Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her

Christine Blasey Ford is the mystery woman who is accusing Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh of a sexual assault that allegedly took place 36 years ago when they were in high school.

Senile Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) knew about this woman's claims back in July and elected to withhold it until the 11th hour of the confirmation hearings. The excuse given was that the woman wanted to remain anonymous, but that doesn't hold water because the story just as easily could have been investigated when it was first brought out and confidentiality could have still been maintained.

Ford said the supposed attack "derailed me substantially for four or five years" and said the episode rendered her "unable to have healthy relationships with men."

Perhaps this is why Ford became a clinical psychologist, but by becoming one, it explains why she underwent individual psychotherapy as it is usually required by most academic institutions.

Ford, a registered Democrat, finally went public when it appeared her story was weak due to her refusal to drop her anonymity. It sent shockwaves through Washington when Feinstein said that she sent the FBI information about Kavanaugh she got from an anonymous accuser in July, threatening to topple the confirmation as Democrats now call for a full investigation.

Of course, many Republicans were skeptical, saying it was "disturbing" that such old allegations bubbled up just days before the Judiciary Committee is set to vote on whether to advance Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Senate floor. It also gave Jeff Flake (R-AZ) cover to vote against the conservative confirmation as it seems he would do anything to go against President Trump's agenda.

The key vote is due Thursday.

White House Counselor, Kellyanne Conway, said Monday on "Fox & Friends" that both Ford and Kavanaugh should be heard under oath on the accusations. Apparently she knows something that will absolve him of guilt.

"This woman should not be insulted and she should not be ignored. I think the Senate is headed toward a reasonable approach, allowing this woman to be heard in sworn testimony, allowing Judge Kavanaugh to be heard in sworn testimony," Conway said. "I spoke with the president, I spoke with Senator [Lindsay] Graham and others. This woman will be heard," adding that the committee will decide "how and in what form" Ford will testify, but noted that Ford's account, while it should be considered, should also be "weighed against" other evidence.

Judge Kavanaugh has already gone through six FBI extensive background checks and came away from all of them 'clean.'

"It's disturbing that these uncorroborated allegations from more than 35 years ago, during high school, would surface on the eve of a committee vote after Democrats sat on them since July," Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a statement.

"If Ranking Member Feinstein and other Committee Democrats took this claim seriously, they should have brought it to the full Committee's attention much earlier," he added. "Instead, they said nothing during two joint phone calls with the nominee in August, four days of lengthy public hearings, a closed session for all committee members with the nominee where sensitive topics can be discussed and in more than 1,300 written requests."

He called on Feinstein to publicly release the letter she received in July, "so that everyone can know what she's known for weeks." He implied that the sudden revelation of the allegations shows that Democrats are underhanded political pond scum.

Ford's lawyer Debra Katz said her client is suddenly willing to appear and testify under oath before the committee as crunch time approaches.

GOP-er Jeff Flake said he's "uncomfortable moving forward with a 'yes' vote until he hears from Ford, his golden opportunity to turn the screws on Trump via Kavanaugh.

Last week and again on Sunday, Kavanaugh denied the accusation: "I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time."

I believe him.
