Boston 'newspaper' proves Trump's point

Boston -- A Boston 'newspaper' wants a coordinated editorial response to President Trump's attack on the news media. On one hand it's understandable that news staff would be upset with some of the things the president tweets, but if you look at it honestly, it kind of proves his point.

The Boston Globe has asked newspapers across the U.S. to denounce the president of the U.S. The Globe wants the papers to publish editorials on August 16 denouncing the "dirty war against the free press."

Part of the problem with this situation is that Trump is correct in pointing out that no other president has been so brutally attacked as he has been. There seems to be nothing he can do that isn't slimed by the press. He's wrong, however, to call the media the "enemy of the American people," as he has done.
Liberal tears
The Globe claims to be appealing to editorial boards regardless of their politics. But that too is the problem.

Real journalism should appear, at least, to be unbiased. Today's journalism appears to be opinion journalism rather than reportage.

When over 90 percent of all reporting by the mainstream media is negative regarding Trump, and the economy is honking along with jobs, and we now have a president with the guts to acknowledge Israel's historic capital of Jerusalem when his predecessors said they would but didn't, you have to say they are biased and unfair.

Suffice it to say that if the media actually was fair in their reporting on Trump, he would still attack them for any honest negative reporting because he apparently has a fragile ego or likes to fight. But it's ridiculous to think that with all the progress we've made since he took office that 90 percent of his policies are bad for the country. It's simply not the case and the left continues to refuse acknowledging it, which is why Trump will quite possibly be a two-term POTUS.

Marjorie Pritchard oversees the Globe's editorial page and when Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential campaign, she probably cried wet, hot tears that fell onto her Birkenstocks, as her shoulders shook in violent spasms. She says that dozens of so-called newspapers agreed thus far to write their own editorials.

Which will probably help Trump in the long run by strengthening his base.
