Due to Second Amendment, Dick's has more bad news

Has handy-dandy flame-thrower
The Dick's Sporting Goods company has taken up a political position that is finally taking its toll. First they said they would not sell rifles to anyone under 21 (the legal age is 18), would no longer sell what they call "assault rifles" (which are all rifles at one time or another in history), and now they've gone on a full-blown Dick's pro-gun control campaign and hired three lobbyists to push their agenda.

But vendors that have worked with Dick's,  an anti-Second Amendment company, are leaving in droves.

Within weeks after announcing their decision to pull all "assault-style" rifles from its stores and impose the age requirement of 21 for all gun buyers, Dick's was suffering from "deeper-than-expected" losses. Now it's seeing a larger-than-expected loss of vendor contracts.

Perhaps smart buyers are refusing to shop at Dick's and are going to Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, or a myriad of other stores that are willing to follow the law and refuse to virtue signal.

According to Jack Crowe of National Review, Dick's recently discovered that it lost three key gun manufacturers.

O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc., announced in a Wednesday press release that it is officially cutting ties with Dick's and its subsidiary Field & Stream in response to Dick's anti-Second Amendment campaign:
O.F. Mossberg & SOns, Inc., a leading American firearms manufacturer, announced today its decision to discontinue selling products to Dick's Sporting Goods, and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, in response to their hiring of gun control lobbyists in April 2018.
Effective immediately, O.F. Mossberg & Sons will not accept any future orders from Dick's Sporting Goods or Field & Stream, and is in the process of evaluating current contractual agreements.
"It has come to our attention that Dick's Sporting Goods recently hired lobbyists on Capitol Hill to promote additional gun control," Iver Mossberg, CEO of O.F. Mossberg & Sons said. "Make no mistake, Mossberg is a staunch supporter of the U.S. Constitution and our Second Amendment rights, and we fully disagree with Dick's Sporting Goods' recent anti-Second Amendment actions."
The announcement came just one day after Dick's learned that Hi-Point Firearms manufacturer MKS Supply cut ties with the virtue signalers of Dick's. MKS made it clear the reason they were cutting ties was due to Dick's because of their aggressive anti-gun, pro-leftist actions.
Banned in London
"We believe that refusing to sell long guns to adults under 21, while many young adults in our military are not similarly restricted, is wrong. We believe that villainizing modern sporting rifles in response to pressure from uninformed, anti-gun voices is wrong," MKS Supply president Charlie Brown said Tuesday. "We believe that hiring lobbyists to oppose Second Amendment is wrong. Dick's Sporting Goods and Field & Stream, in purportedly doing all of these things, have demonstrated that they do not share our values. [We're] standing by the American people by refusing any further sales to Dick's Sporting Goods & Field & Stream."

Springfield Armory canceled its contract with Dick's the prior week.

And in spite of the troubling financial reports, Dick's head Edward Stack doubled down on their political campaign.

I am doubling down on Dick's and asking all who support the U.S. Constitution to buy your sporting goods elsewhere.
