Irans protest death toll reaches 17

The overall death toll in the Iranian protests has reached 17, including one policeman who was shot and killed, possibly with a hunting rifle.

This is day five of the leaderless street protests in Iranian cities against the regime, and there appears to be no end in sight as security forces clash with protesters.

Al Arabiya reports that five protesters were killed in the city of Qahdregan, in the province of Isfahan, central Iran.

Some reformist and fundamentalist news sources say the clashes occurred when protesters tried to break into the city hall building.

Unconfirmed reports published by sites close to former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claim the the number of people killed in the city are two men of the Revolutionary Guard.

They are in Jannah now with their virgins.

Ever notice that jihadi leaders aren't the guys blowing themselves up, but farm the work out to the gullible?
