NoKo says war is near, shakes their fists at the sky

Say what you will about President Trump, but he's the only president who refuses to appease North Korea, which, in the past, has allowed the hermit nation to develop nuclear capabilities. It began with Bill Clinton, then George W. Bush and ended with the "Behind Leader," Barack Obama.

The United States isn't backing down but instead, is doubling down. We sent B-1 bomber flights close to the North Korean border in spite of Pyongyang rattling sabres claiming that war is right around the corner.

Of course Russia also got into the act. Along with North Korea, they blame the US for the increased tensions. But allowing North Korea to continue on this road to perdition (a word I never use) is suicidal. And the US wants to make the point that we can do what we want (to quote South Park's Cartman).

Maybe we need a leader who the rest of the world thinks is crazy. It certainly has China talking.

We've flown plenty of provocative bomber sorties near the border at a time Pyongyang is wondering when, not if, war will break out. On Wednesday, a B-1B Lancer flew from Guam to carry out simulated bombing runs against NoKo targets at a SoKo test range.

Between the US and South Korea, there are 230 aircraft, US top stealth jets and about 12,000 personnel participating in the Vigilant Ace exercise.

When we flew a B-1 across NoKo's maritime border after they launched an ICBM test in September, they threatened to shoot down subsequent flights.

They do so at their peril and the peril of the fat man behind the curtain.
