A dude disguised himself in a burka in order to lure an 11-year-old boy before raping and strangling him to death with a rope, police said.
The child, Azan Majid Janjua was snatched from his mosque in Abu Dhabi last week after attending afternoon prayers and Quran recitation during Ramadan.
The accused killer, a Pakistani, posed as a woman in a burka to pick up Azan because he knew the boy wouldn't go with a man without asking his parents.
Maj. General Maktoum Al Sharifi of the Abu Dhabi Police said the suspect told police he "cross-dressed as a woman because he knew that the boy would not go without permission from his parents."
The child's semi-naked body was discovered May 31st on the rooftop of the building where he lived by air-conditioning technicians who were there for repairs.
The boy had his Quran beside him.
The boy's father, Dr. Majid Janjua, 38, said: "He was fasting and he went to the mosque for Asr prayers and Quran recitation and then went missing."
The suspect, an immigrant from Pakistan, was arrested less than 48 hours after the body was discovered. He confessed to the crime and is said to be known to the family of the victim.
Forensics have found evidence to corroborate the confession of the killer.
If all goes well, the Sharia court will find the killer guilty of homosexual rape, which carries the "throw the gay guy off a building" sentence.
