Reporters try to get MLK III to attack DJT on MLK Day

Martin Luther King III met with President-elect Donald Trump Monday inside Trump Tower. The meeting was on the day of honoring King's father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On Monday, reporters waiting outside the building tried to get MLK III to bash Trump over tweets concerning Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), a civil rights icon in his own right.

King told reporters that he and Mr. Trump had "a very constructive meeting" and they mostly focused on voting rights. That wouldn't do for the press, they immediately changed gears to the topic of Lewis.

Tom Llamas, a so-called reporter for ABC tried to get King to go after Trump by asking: "Mr. King, as you know, Representative Lewis still has the scars from the March on Selma. Were you offended by the President-elect's tweet that Representative Lewis is all talk and no action?"

Basically stated, King told the master race baiter Llamas that "in the heat of emotion, a lot of things get said on both sides."

Well, harrumph!

That didn't hurt Trump at all, so another person, presumably from the press corps as he wasn't identified, made an unsubstantiated second-hand claim by an unidentified, woman making an uncorroborated claim. He said, regarding the woman's story that he allegedly heard last week at Trump Tower:
"Sir, you know many African Americans are very concerned about a Trump presidency. A woman came in here last week and told me he's going to have black people up against the wall, both literally and figuratively. Did he allay your concerns that he'll be a president for all people, black and white?"
Interestingly, this so-called reporter isn't aware that all people are not just black and white, but that's to be expected because that's apparently how he sees all things.

But King again, refused to take the bait saying, "certainly he said that, that he is going to represent Americans" and he'll "continue to evaluate that" throughout Trump's presidency.

The media in the US has always leaned more to the left than the right. Even back in the day when Alger Hiss was convicted of being a spy for the Russians, The New York Times made the case that he was wrongfully convicted--even after Hiss admitted to it.

It's going to be a tough road for Trump. As butt-kissing as they generally were to Obama, they are going to try being butt-kicking to Trump.

It's a given.
