Palestinians reject U.S. peace plan, again

Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas rejected a pathway to peace proposed by U.S. Vice President and gaffe meister extraordinaire, Joe Biden, reports Al Quds, the PA newspaper.

The deal allows for a Palestinian capital in eastern Jerusalme and a moratorium on construction in the West Bank. All the Palestinians had to agree with is to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and relinquishing the Palestinian "right of return."

Simply put, the Palestinian "right of return" is a position, mainly political, that says Palestinian refugees, both first-generation refugees and their descendants, have a right to return, and to their property they themselves or their forebears left behind or were forced to leave behind in what is now Israel, and the Palestinian territories (bot h formerly part of the British Mandate of Palestine), as part of the 1948 Palestinian exodus resulting from the 1948 war and the 1967 Six Day War.

If Israel allowed for the "right of return," they would lose a political majority and this would have dire results for the Jewish people. In other words, it would be political suicide for the Jewish state.

The PA has been rejecting peace offerings for about 20 years. The hard, cold truth is that the PA wants all the Jews in Israel, and the rest of the globe, to be gone. Gone in the sense that no Jews are left alive.

It's a fool's errand to try getting the PA to agree to any sort of truce with Israel. Not only is it not in their blood, it is also not in their religion to make peace.

Period.
