Tel Aviv jihadist gets his 72

Normal people celebrate the New Year by partying or being with their loved one(s). Islamic jihadists celebrate the New Year by murdering Jews. It's how they roll.

On New Years Day, an Arab Israeli Muslim man, Nashat Milhern, from northern Israel, shot and killed three people in Tel Aviv. The people he shot were Jews, not apes or pigs as the Koran refers to them, but people whose only Islamic crime was to be born Jewish.

Israeli special police shot and killed him after he had been found Friday hiding in a mosque in the northern city of Um Al Fahem, near his family home.

The attack by Milhern took place on Dizengoff Street, the busiest street in Tel Aviv. Two Israeli men were killed and six others were wounded.

Security cameras caught all of the attack. It showed Milhern with a black bag over his shoulder, scooping up nuts from a shop's bulk food section, and putting them into a plastic bag, then dumping them back into the bin. Next he walks into the entrance, puts his backpack on a shopping cart and removes a gun from it as he then steps outside and begins firing into the bar.

Then the weasel runs away, tosses his cell phone and hails a cab to northern Tel Aviv, where he kills the cabbie and takes the taxi before he goes off the grid.

Police authorities got their first lead from Milhern's father, Mohammed. He recognized his son from the video that was aired on TV. Milhern had stolen the legal weapon from his father, a security guard. The father appealed for his son to turn himself in--he also condemned the shooting along with other residents of Arara, an Arab town.

Maybe there is still hope for the world.

Authorities found a Koran in Milhern's bag, which comes as no surprise to anyone with a brain. But family members say he was "emotionally unstable and traumatized" after his cousin was killed in a 2006 police raid. Police say they were looking for weapons and had to shoot in self-defense. I believe them.

This wasn't Milhern's first run-in with the law. He served time in prison after being convicted of attacking an Israeli soldier as he tried to steal his weapon. I suspect that if he successfully stole the weapon, he would have used it on the soldier.
