News Network reports that Israeli officials are "Horrified' at John Kerry's cease-fire proposal and called it a complete 'cave-in to Hamas.' The terms of the deal were so bad that Israeli government officials kept it under wraps to prevent a "formal rupture of relations between the two erstwhile allies."
The proposal by John "Swiftboat" Kerry contained nothing about Hamas' destroying its tunnel network that is used for terrorists to sneak into Israel and kill civilians. And Kerry had the gall to propose that Israel and Egypt open their border crossing with Gaza. This is an import route for Hamas' weapons of war, and Hamas is clearly hell-bent to kill all the Jews in Israel just for starters--just Google their charter and see Chapter 7.
But the most galling part of Kerry's proposal was to allow Hamas to build a Mediterranean seaport along its coast and said both Israel and Egypt should help pay for it. That is both suicidal and insulting to Israel, but I don't believe that Kerry thought Israel or Egypt would actually agree to this lunacy. I believe Kerry simply wanted to send an anti-Semitic message of non-support to our only ally in the Middle East.
Kerry penned his proposal in Paris where he didn't even have the decency to meet with Israel, the Palestinian Authority or Egypt. He met with leaders from Turkey and Qatar, both from countries who openly pray for the death of the Jews.
It was also discovered that our "Vietnam war hero" met with Turkey officials in secret--a country whose president called Israel a "terrorist state." Terrorists who call their victims terrorists are merely using a ploy psychologists call 'projection,' because those who perpetrate terror must assign the behavior and blame elsewhere. (It's like the husband who beats his wife after saying to her: "Don't make me come over there and beat the crap out of you.")
Qatar allies with Hamas and agrees that the Jews must all be killed to make the world a better place. Unfortunately, there are too many "progressive" college professors in the U.S. who feel the same way and are spreading this hateful message to their obedient zombie students.
Egypt was also totally opposed to Kerry's position, one which Kerry claimed was not pro-Hamas. Of course anyone with a brain would dispute this simply by knowing what the results would be if Israel accepted the deal. The Israeli security cabinet was so befuddled by Kerry's deal that they initially thought it was a joke or something he was preparing to send to The Onion.
Today: Hamas broke yet another cease-fire to which Israel responded with force. Hamas has been getting the crap beaten out of them and now has agreed to another 24-hour truce. They only do that when they are losing.
Israel has not yet responded to Hamas' truce as I write this, but I believe they know what Hamas is planning to do if Israel lets up on the fighting. It's called 'taqiyya' and is the use of lying to one's enemy in order to get an advantage over him. It's in Islamic scripture (Koran 3:28) and it's sneaky as hell. If Israel backs off, Hamas will fire rockets at civilians once more.
Why is it acceptable for Hamas to fire rockets into Israel indiscriminately, but terrorism when Israel returns fire from where the Hamas rockets were fired from? And what's this nonsense about a "disproportionate response?" Just because Israel is able to hit targets with accuracy when responding to Hamas' use of "dumb" rockets that either get shot down or hit nothing significant, is not a disproportionate response.
When Harry Truman had us bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end the war, it wasn't called a disproportionate response. Why? Because it actually resulted in saving more lives than it extracted. And the truth is, if Hamas had a nuclear weapon, they would blow Israel off the face of the map and kill every Jew possible. Is that disproportionate?
In an Israeli poll by Mina Tzemach, 86.5% of Israelis oppose a cease-fire. The poll allowed for only two choices: 1. Israel had enough achievements, soldiers have died, and it is time to stop; or 2. Israel cannot accept a cease-fire because "Hamas continues firing missiles on Israel, not all tunnels have been found and Hamas has not surrendered. The full result shows that 9.7% chose number 1, 86.5% chose number 2, and 3.8% just want to go back to sleep.
So it's clear that Israel overwhelmingly stands behind Netanyahu's efforts against Hamas. It's just too bad its ally in the West doesn't seem to have the moral conviction that Israel are the good guys and Hamas are the terrorists.
The fighting has been going on for centuries. Most recently it re-emerged 20 days ago. The answer to the question of when will it end is best summed up in the words of Golda Meir: "Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."
