Bergdahl: traitor or liberal?

Chuck Hagel arrived in beautiful Afghanistan to oversee the release of five Taliban scumbags who were detained in the Guantanamo Bay prison along with their trusty Korans, in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Hagel said that Bergdahl's life was in jeopardy all of a sudden.

Bergdahl was allegedly a prisoner of war in lovely Afghanistan for nearly five years. Held by the Taliban, just another group of Muslim jihadists we are at war with, except when it's workplace violence, Bergdahl was exchanged yesterday.

Hagel, who is often mistaken for the other village idiot, Joe Biden, said: "We believe that the information we had, the intelligence we had, [Chuck went to the School of Redundancy School] was such that Sgt. Bergdahl's safety and health were both in jeopardy and in particular his health deteriorating. It was our judgment that if we could find an opening and move very quickly with that opening, that we needed to get him out of there essentially to save his life."

Hagel did NOT add: "We are well aware that the five Taliban scumbags we released back into the field would likely kill more Americans, but hey, don't we look good to the low-information public back home? That's a rhetorical question, son."

So the Taliban vermin were freed and flown first class (I surmise) to Qatar, whose government acted as intermediaries this time, enemies of the USA next time.

According to Fox News, Bergdahl arrived at Landschtul Medical Center in Germany at 9:00 AM local time, and has not as yet spoken to his parents.

However, according to Pamela Geller's blog Atlas Shrugs Bergdahl spoke to his father in Arabic and began the conversation with: "In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful." This is how religious Muslims begin their speeches.

So, according to some sources in the military community, Bowe Burgdahl is a traitor to our country. Stephen Kirouac called him a "dirt bag" and "sympathizer." He was not alone in his assessment. Kirouac said "He is a dirtbag that now should spend the next 20 years plus in Leavenworth . . . his fellow soldiers were affected by his actions, he is a sympathizer and deserves to be tried for desertion." On his Facebook profile, Kirouac is identified as a company commander at Fort Bragg, NC.

According to Pamela Geller, a Taliban deputy district commander in Paktika, who goes by the name Haji Nadeem, told sources that Bergdahl taught him how to dismantle a cell phone and turn it into a remote device to set off roadside bombs. It was also reported that Bergdahl converted to Islam and taught bomb-making skills to the enemy, and Nadeem claimed Bergdahl taught him basic ambush training skills.

Whatever the case, we need to investigate Bergdahl. If it turns out that these allegations are true, then I believe he should be shot with all the honors bestowed upon a traitor. If these allegations are false, then I believe Hagel should be tried as a criminal for not notifying Congress 30 days prior to the decision to free Bergdahl. If Hagel was not acting alone (imagine him acting alone--that's as likely as running into him and Biden at a Mensa meeting) then whoever was involved in freeing the terrorists for Bergdahl, should be held accountable.
