DC Shooting: Latest

Just about an hour ago, a woman, with a young child aboard her car, apparently tried to drive through a barrier to the White House gate, and perhaps attempt an attack on the President. President Obama was actually in the White House when the incident occurred. 

Due to sequestration, the Federal police only had 2 bullets apiece in their handguns. Due to the government shut down, all non-essential government personnel were given a furlough, so Joe Biden was nowhere to be found. In spite of this "catastrophic situation," (to quote Nancy Pelosi), the woman was stopped in her nefarious attempt, and is likely in custody. However, there is another rumor that she was killed by police.


I can imagine MSNBC questioning the suspect's motives: "Is it her Tea Party leanings, or just her need to express her racist, anti-Obama sentiments?" Chris Matthews might say: "If she thinks she can delay Obamacare by these antics, she has another thing coming." 

On a serious note, a police officer was injured at the scene and a bystander as well. Local offices were in lock down and are now open. The crime scenes are now under total control.

This is not currently considered a terrorist attack, nor a "GOP jihad" as Harry Reid has recently referenced.
