The Palestinian Whisperer

At Egyptian Philharmonic
Egypt is in chaos, with pro-Muslim Brotherhood supporters calling for the return of their leader, Mohammed Morsi, as burqa-clad women, with only their eyes glasses visible, shout and shake fists at the media calling for more martyrs, more blood, if Mo isn't returned to power. They are also calling for the removal, by hook crook or gentle beheading, of an Army General who, judging by his name, may be a pitcher for the New York Yankees.

But the one thing both the pro-Morsi Muslims have with the anti-Muslim Brotherhood Muslims, is their scripture, their Koran. You can't swing a cat in Tahrir Square without hitting an anti Semitic person. It's in their version of a holy book--it's how they roll.

Palestinian Whisperer
Israel and the Palestinians are going to the peace-talk table. Israel plans to release about 100 terrorists to move these peace talks forward and placate the Jew-hating Islamic Palestinians. Israel will demand an independent Jewish state, the Palestinians, historically, have never accepted this, so there they go again, banging their heads against the Weeping Wall. If this were the first time we've been to this point, I would have real hope, but we've been here before. I cannot imagine that poser, John Kerry, being successful as the American negotiator--William Shatner has a better shot, I suspect.

My latest novel, Jihad Joe, is about Islamic terrorism and suspense.  In it I challenge the precepts of the religion through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three Gitmo prisoners.  Of course, American policy demands we never give in to terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.
