Same O Same O

I believe Obama's speech today was around an hour and 7 minutes long and was probably his best soporific he has given so far. The reason for this is because it was a repeat of his past speeches, but this one sounded worn out and less enthusiastic. And why should Obama have an ounce of enthusiasm left anyway, he's a lame duck with nothing but words to convince the easily convinced liberals that he's a great president, perhaps the greatest of all times. If only the GOP would get out of the way, he could lead this country to prosperity and yadda yadda yadda, George Bush. Okay, to be fair, he didn't mention GW by name, but he probably will next time.

It was entertaining to listen to Austan Goolsbee on Hannity trying to defend Obama's statements about Detroit. He made the claim that he had saved Detroit from bankruptcy then, and obviously was wrong. Goolsbee claimed Obama never said that but was instead referring to the fact that by "Detroit" Obama meant the car industry. Since when does the name of a town translate into a company or group of companies? It was lame and there's no doubt that most people, liberals being the exception, were able to see how he tap danced around Obama's failure.

Now that the Zimmerman trial is finally over, we may get to deal with the "phony scandals" the GOP has raised with the administration. Phony is the new buzzword--Carney and Obama are saying it as often as a Muslim says "Inshallah" in religious conversation about jihad. If Benghazi is a phony scandal, I dare Obama or Carney tell that to the families of the victims. If the IRS scandal was phony, why did Obama tell us that it's serious? When did it become phony? If Fast and Furious is phony, will they tell that to Brian Terry's parents, or the families of the over 200 Mexicans that were killed with Holder-supplied weapons? No, they will not tell them that what happened at these events were phony because people died and they lied to us.

As a Vietnam veteran who served in the Marine Corps, I am ashamed of how our military failed to act in Benghazi. As an American, I am ashamed of how the Department of Justice is an oxymoron of its name. As a defender of the US Constitution, I am appalled how this administration, from the top down, has trampled on the greatest document  that ever existed to guide a country.

I didn't mention all of the scandals--I left out NSA, Associated Press, James Rosen, and more; but you get the idea. Congress has to aggressively pursue the truth and voters need to throw out those politicians who are in it for the wrong reasons.
