Groping, Hoping, and Rope-a-Doping

I enjoy and occasional grope

Mayor Bob Filner (D) of San Diego, has been accused of groping women who worked for him. He refuses to resign, and who can blame him when you have Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer back in the political fray? The Democrats love these guys--Weiner and Spitzer are both running in front of their campaign competition and Filner figures his chances of staying a top Democrat is almost assured now that he's cool with the left. There is no sexual indiscretion too big, not salacious act too vulgar, no marital impropriety too hurtful that it cannot be overlooked by Democrats or even made to be cool.


Just a brief review: Anthony Weiner showed his weiner on Twitter to

several young ladies. He got caught, deleted his Twitter account, denied all wrongdoing and said Andrew Breitbart (RIP) was a liar--turns out it was a weiner who lied. 

Weiner is married to a Muslim Brotherhood connected, Huma Abedin. Huma is currently working on Hillary Clinton's transition team, and was Hillary's chief of staff when Islamists were killing our guys in Benghazi. In fact, in a recent article in The Daily News, Huma used Hillary's contacts to raise $150 thousand for her hubby's campaign in his run for Mayor of New York City. (I understand that if he wins, he, as mayor, plans to ban the sale of extra large condoms, in the fashion of his predecessor who banned sodas larger than 15 ounces.) But I have to give Huma credit for standing by her scumbucket husband, (in the fashion of her mentor, Hillary regarding Bill), but I believe that there's more than meets the eye with this young couple. Huma's mama and bro are caliphate-oriented Islamists.

Eliot Spitzer (another D, as in Duh) as you may recall, was Governor of New York State. He was also the NYS Attorney General, an election won with a controversial multi-million dollar "loan" from his real estate mogul, richer than dirt, daddy. As Attorney General, Spitzer's task was to ensure that justice was being done at the state level. He went after criminal activity, some of which may have included prostitution--but wait--he was also charged with soliciting prostitutes. Yes, Eliot was a member of the Emperor's Club--a sex club or high class brothel--he even had a VIP card, not to be mistaken for a race card. Unfortunately for him, but fortunate for New York, he had to resign as Governor on March 17, 2008 and obviously missed marching in the famous New York Saint Patrick's Day Parade where he planned to dress up as a leprechaun suffering from an over-active pituitary gland.

Interestingly, Silda Wall Spitzer, the little woman, decided to stand by her bigger than life leprechaun and when you see her, it makes you wonder why he would be unfaithful to her. But like Eliot may have said to his prostitutes, "She doesn't understand me," maybe it's time to not forgive him his behavior because to do something so obviously stupid, and to be arrogant enough to think he wouldn't get caught, is not the kind of person I want in public office. I believe he's running for State Comptroller--he gets you money, he gets to use his VIP card.

So Democrats can once again believe that they are morally superior to conservatives because they can forgive the poor judgment of Weiner and the nefarious behavior of Spitzer; and who knows, they may elect them again while Filner maintains their undying support because like them, he believes in the morality of a woman's right to kill her unborn baby.

My latest novel, Jihad Joe, is about Islamic terrorism and suspense.  In it I challenge the precepts of the religion through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three Gitmo prisoners.  Of course, American policy demands we never give in to terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.
