To Protect Against All Enemies Yadda Yadda

As I write this, I have just learned that an American being held hostage by Algerian terrorists, has been killed. The news about this event has been sketchy but one thing for sure is that the Obama administration hasn't said much publicly. The terrorists want the release of two scum-bag terrorists being held in prison but, as I even said in my novel, Jihad Joe, the United States does not negotiate with terrorists. Of course, that is a good thing because if we did, there would be a lot more kidnappings going on throughout the world of American citizens.

One of the main duties of the government is to protect its citizens. Obama has been sheepish about abiding by this responsibility as we have seen, for example, in Benghazi, where Ambassador Stevens asked for help in protecting the compound weeks before the terrorists broke in and killed him and three others.

Now we must wait and see what Obama does about Algeria. He has done little but offer help in acting as transporters for the French in spite of our interests there of deterring the Islamists from taking over the gas supplies and of the attacks in Mali where Mitt Romney warned us of the impending dangers in October of last year. Useful idiots like Bill Maher laughed at him but has been rather quiet on the subject.

The world has become a dangerous place and there is no end in sight of the violence being meted out by Islamic terrorists. Liberals have their heads buried in the sand and blaming the rest of us as being Islamophobic--using the word invented by a faction of the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization that in 2001 would have never gotten it's dung-laden sandals in the door of our country. Now Obama has embraced them and the left thinks that this is a good idea.

When will they ever learn?

My latest novel, Jihad Joe, is about Islamic terrorism and suspense.  In it I challenge the precepts of the religion through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three Gitmo prisoners.  Of course, American policy demands we never give in to terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.
