Paris climate talks was big business

Climate change seemed to be the last thing on the minds of the developed countries in attendance of the Paris COP21 (Conference of Parties) if you believe Rajendra Singh, of India.

The Hindu interviewed Singh, a Magsaysay Award winner and water conservationist, in a country where water, especially clean water, is precious and often scarce.

Mr. Singh is known as the "Waterman of India" and was awarded the Stockholm Water Prize for outstanding achievement in water conservation. This is a real award, not like the Nobel Peace Prize given to terrorists like Yassar Arafat, opportunists like Al Gore, and empty suits like Barack Obama.

Singh described the Paris talks as a playground for business interests of developed countries. "The Paris agreement is a defeat for India, and it is a sign that our country has let developed countries like America take the upper hand," Singh told The Hindu on Saturday.

I see Singh's point but believe it's a case of the liberals in this administration taking the upper hand on underdeveloped countries.

"India's knowledge system prioritizes love and respect for nature. We are leaders in this field, but with the Paris agreement we have given a clear path for commercialization of nature. This is completely against our tradition."

Mr. Singh believes the Paris agreement absolves the United States of its liability for causing climate change in the first place, but China, the biggest polluter on the planet, is not mentioned. Singh feels it is the U.S. that is the biggest climate culprit.

I believe it's the four seasons that play the biggest role in climate change.

Singh was in Paris during the negotiations and alleges that much of the process was a discussion of business interests rather than environmental concerns. "COP 21 became a playground for business and economic interests of developed countries, and they forced everyone to accept their terms. They are happy now," he said.

With about 40,000 people in attendance, the real decision-makers made up a "blue zone" of not more than 400 people. "They called the shots," Singh said.

It was due to this exclusionary climate (no pun intended) that Singh organized an alternative COP forum with like-minded activists who actually discussed "climate and not business."

How revolutionary. Someone ought to tell Obama.

Singh added that "If they were really discussing the environment, they would be discussing water and greenery. Instead, they only ended up talking about the sale and purchase of technology and how different consultancies could be engaged to help one another."

Funny how liberals become free-market entrepreneurs when the money goes in their pockets.

He believes that India was willing to go along with the terms of the Paris agreement because it had its own narrow self-interest in mind, in effect telling the U.S. "Look, we absolved you of the blame for the climate change you caused. In return, you should let us use coal to produce electricity," said Singh.

He believes that producing electricity through coal is considered damaging, but India pitches for its right to do so because it needs more energy for manufacturing. "In order to achieve this one thing, you have sold away your traditions and your beliefs," said Singh.

What developed countries need to understand is that burning coal to produce clean energy is a lot better than the poor having to burn dog or cow poop just to keep warm.

A terrorist named Sarah got away: the law helped him

Sarah Abdeslam is one of the "jihad-minds" behind the Paris attacks in November. Sarah is a guy in this case, and it was learned that he could have been captured by Belgian police if they were allowed to do their job.

There is a rather stupid Belgian law that prevents raids between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless there is a crime in progress.

Belgian folks really want a peaceful night's sleep more than they seem to want a peaceful world . . . so they waited until the time was right.

It was believed that Abdeslam was in an apartment in Molenbeek, a Brussels neighborhood, two days after the attack. But Belgium's [hogtied] justice minister told reporters that the police weren't allowed to capture him due to the law.

What, me worry?
So while the U.S. has its sanctuary cities, Belgium has its sanctuary hours of quiet.

The cops waited until the allotted 5 a.m. and busted into the apartment, but Abdeslam's alarm clock was set for 4:45 a.m. and he split the scene without taking the time to shower.

You may recall that Abdeslam was assigned to blow himself up with a suicide vest as part of the attack, but he must have used chicken wire to arm the device. His vest was found in a garbage bin the following week.

Some of Sarah's fellow jihadists are now saying that he can go to hell for not blowing himself up. They meant that literally.

Federal judge chastises Hamas-linked CAIR

The Counsel on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) may finally be getting its comeuppance in a public trial. The Hamas-linked organization with close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood will get the exposure it so much wants to avoid if the trial takes place. Their biggest fear is for them to be exposed as an embedded, subversive Islamic front group.

Robert Spencer's blog Jihad Watch discusses the case in detail.

On Thursday Federal Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly denied CAIR's motion to reopen discovery in what has become known as the Muslim Mafia Trial.

CAIR sued the Center for Security Policy (CSP) and its employees back in 2008 for compiling a documentary to expose CAIR's Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas ties along with other illegal activities.

In the documentary, Dave Gaubatz and his son, Chris, went undercover as CAIR interns and learned of multiple crimes committed by CAIR. From the information they gathered, renown author, Paul Sperry, wrote a book describing CAIR's crimes and terrorist connections. Dave taught Chris to work as a CAIR intern and gain access to the criminal evidence.

However, there was no investigation by the Department of Justice or the FBI. Instead, CAIR sued Gaubatz and his son for wiretapping and computer hacking and other charges. But even with the information they gathered against CAIR, the Obama administration has done nothing about it, and this gave the terror-linked group to open the lawsuit, and since the suit began, CAIR added more defendants including CSP which is headed by Frank Gaffney, a Reagan administration official.

The American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) founded and led by David Yerushalmi and Robert Muise, represents the CSP defendants. Yerushalmi has also represented Pamela Geller, the co-founder of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, in legal battles with CAIR.

Earlier this year, the federal court had ordered both parties to prepare for trial or mediate a settlement. CAIR, with its terrorist connections was in no position to settle and after months of delay, and its 12th lawyer for the case, Haytham Faraj, the Hamas-linked organization filed a motion to re-open discovery and allow CAIR's counsel to name experts who could testify about the reputational damages the poor dears suffered as a result of the publication of the book Muslim Mafia.

Yerushalmi and Muise filed an opposition to the motion saying that Faraj failed to explain why the case should be further delayed and not ready for trial (since it had 7 freaking years to get ready).

The AFLC lawyers also pointed out in the opposition that CAIR had early on in the case renounced any claim for reputational damages, including any losses attributed to loss in donor income or the inability to lobby government officials, because CAIR didn't want its reputation placed center-stage in the litigation.

The Court agreed with AFLC and denied CAIR's motion:
Although a trial date has not yet been set in this case, the dispositive motions in this case are finally resolved, and it is now time to prepare for trial rather than time to reopen discovery, particularly when certain prior decisions of the Court were premised on the explicit disclaimer of reputational damages. Reopening discovery at this point, even for a limited purpose, would not serve a "just, speedy, and inexpensive" resolution of this matter. Accordingly, for all of these reasons, and given the long history of this case recounted above, the Court finds that Plaintiffs have not shown good cause to reopen discovery, and Plaintiffs' motion is DENIED.
The judge added a warning comment to CAIR and its new counsel:
The Court notes that this request to reopen discovery comes as Plaintiffs retained new attorneys--once again--purportedly to take this case to trial. While it is Plaintiffs' prerogative to switch jockeys mid-course, they may not rewind time and begin the race again. To do so would be neither fair nor efficient.
Both AFLC lawyers applauded the judge's ruling and are eager to expose CAIR as the "subversive Islamist front group" that it is.

CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator and Muslim Brotherhood-Hamas front groups by the FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office in the Holy Land Foundation trials (HLF).

HLF was a fund raiser for violent jihad by Hamas and top CAIR leaders were part of the conspiracy. From this, the FBI publicly ended its outreach activities with CAIR and the United Arab Emirates has officially declared CAIR a terrorist organization.

In spite of this, however, president Obama continues to have a relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood, of which CAIR is an arm.

Obama failed to feel America's pulse because he didn't watch it on cable

American journalism is dying if you believe "the paper of record," aka The New York Times, is any indication.

President Obama met with Times columnists and told them that he didn't watch enough cable TV to fully appreciate the level of anxiety the American public felt after the attacks in Paris and San Bernadino, and he said that he plans to step up his public arguments.

For an American president to say such a thing shows, at best, just how out-of-step he is, and at worst, how blase or uncaring he is about such a serious threat Islamic terrorism poses.

The statement Obama made is highly newsworthy. Unfortunately, it paints him in a bad light and The Times removed it because, they claimed, the paragraph was too long.

"There's nothing unusual here," the Times said in a statement. "That paragraph near the bottom of the story, was trimmed for space in the print paper by a copy editor in New York late last night. But it was in our story on the web all day and read by many thousands of readers. Web stories without length constraints are routinely edited for print."

The original text read:
"In his meeting with the columnists, Mr. Obama indicated that he did not see enough cable television to fully appreciate the anxiety after the attacks in Paris and San Bernadino and made clear that he plans to step up his public arguments."
So it was edited for length but replaced with two paragraphs that were longer than the original statement that was totally disconnected to what Obama originally was reported to have said:
"Mr. Obama argued that while there were potentially threats that would merit the kind of investment of lives and money equivalent to that made in the Iraq war, the Islamic State does not pose an existential threat to the United States and therefore the response should be measured. The United States needs to take on the group, in part to defend allies in the region, he said, but it should not be an all-out war.
Moreover, he added, part of the group's strategy is to draw the United States into a broader military entanglement in the region. A sustained but limited campaign may be slow and politically unsatisfying, but ultimately will be more successful, he contended."
If the Times is telling the truth about why they edited the piece it shows that they need to fire their copy editor because the fact that a president gets his information from the media and not from his advisers or his own observations is extremely noteworthy. In fact, it may be just as anxiety provoking to intelligent observers as the terrorist incidents themselves.

This piece of editing showed really bad editorial judgment, at best.

But c'mon, how can anyone believe the Times explanation when it's clear that page space wasn't the real issue?

So now we know that Obama is either out of touch with the American people, or is lying and doesn't give a flying fig what we think. Either way, it's cause for great concern.

And if he really gets his news from television, that tells me all I need to know about him and his administration.

One thing is certain, the New York Times is in the bag for Obama.

Please feel free to comment whether you agree or disagree.

B-52 flyover angers China

China is accusing the U.S. of deliberately raising tensions over the disputed territory China claimed as its own in the South China Sea. This comes after an American B-52 flew close to the Cuareron Reef in the Spratly Islands.

China demanded that Washington (read "Obama") take immediate measures to prevent such incidents from recurring, as it will damage relations between the two nations military and possibly result in China refusing to export cheap and flimsy lead-based goods to the U.S.

Instead of the president telling China that we are within our rights to fly in that area as it does not belong to China, the Pentagon said to the Wall Street Journal they are investigating the flight path of the bomber. They believe that the B-52 may have been blown off course.

In October of this year, a U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer USS Lassen sailed within 12 nautical miles inside the disputed zone around the Subi Reef, and Chinese officials gave warning to the ship.

The Navy officials said that the path the destroyer took was necessary to make it clear to China that their man-made islands are not considered to be sovereign territory with territorial water rights surrounding it.

The Pentagon said the recent B-52 flights were unplanned. "For this mission, there was no intention of flying to within 12 nautical miles," said Cmdr. Bill Urban, a Pentagon spokesman.

But the China Defense Ministry said the flight and other U.S. military operations in the area of the artificial islands are "serious military provocations" that could cause militarization in the region. They have been trying to impose a 12-nautical mile limit around the islands, but international law says that such limits cannot be imposed around islands built on previously submerged reefs.

So to really make them angry at us, we approved a $1.83 billion arms sale to Taiwan this week and China had a hissy-fit.

This may mean that there will be no cheap lead-based toys to poison the kids with this Christmas.

Eenie meenie meinee visa

The U.S. has revoked over 122,000 visas and of those, about 9,500 were revoked due to terrorism concerns. This means that 122,000 visas were issued to people who should not have received them initially, and 9,500 of those people likely got the visas to enter the U.S. and perform terrorist acts against Americans.

The really frightening thing isn't the issuance of the visas, although it shows how stupid our government is, but the fact that the State Department doesn't know where thousands of these possible terrorists are.

"You don't have a clue, do you?" Rep. Jason Chaffetz, (R-Utah) told Michele Thoren Bond, assistant secretary for the Bureau of Consular Affairs.

Bond's straightforward admission when pressed by Chaffetz was a simple "I don't know," reminiscent of Obama's response when he told the American public that he finds out about things just like we do--in the media.

This line of questioning came at a point in the hearing when administration officials were asked about what safeguards are in place to reduce the risk of would-be Islamic terrorists to be in the country. The big picture is the question of just how closely the government vets the background of people seeking entry into the U.S.A., including reviews of their social media.

Even some Democrats were taken aback at the lack of scrutiny we give to people from terrorist spawning countries, like Syria, for example. Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass) said "If half the employees are doing it in the United States of America, if colleges are doing it for students, why wouldn't Homeland Security do it? We don't even look at their public stuff, that's what kills me."

Let's hope that it doesn't kill him or anyone else, but one has to be skeptical about the government protecting us.

Homeland Security Secretary and highly incompetently placed Jeh Johnson said that "There are some legal limits to what we can do."

WTF???? Legal limits?

People coming from other countries have no Constitutional rights like we do. They don't have any right to privacy unless we ask them to undress at the airport to check that strange bulge in their burqa.

Homeland Security and the rest of the government involved with vetting foreigners have the responsibility to use every avenue available to them to ensure that there are no more Tashfeen Maliks and her ilk. Heck, she and her scumcrumpet American husband were communicating even before they were married about waging jihad in the U.S.

If I may use a Trumpian term: Jeh Johnson is a loser and so are the rest of the administration who fail to do their job.

Another Mohammed arrested in India

I'm telling you, those Mohammed, Muhammad, or Mohammad Muslims, and any others with a derivative name of the prophet of Islam, just can't catch a break when trying to commit jihad against us infidels.

The Asian Financial Forum reported that an Indian ISIS recruiter has been arrested by Rajastan state's Anti-terrorism Squad (ATS) alleging that he tried to recruit other young folks belonging the religion of peace, to the terror group.

Mohammed Sirajuddin (his friends call him "Mo") an IOC marketing manager, is accused of promoting the literal Islamic practice of jihad on the Internet. He attempted to groom young girls and boys for induction into the Smithereen Hall of Fame, along with other "seditious activities."

My guess is beheading unbelievers.

According to Alok Tripathi, a top cop with the ATS and Special Operation Group, Mohammed is a native of Karnataka, in the south of India, and he is employed by IOC in Jaipur (which has a great vegetable recipe, I must say) the capital of Rajasthan.

Mo used Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, and other social media to spread the literal word of the Koran, (as does ISIS) to kill the infidels wherever you find them and all that terrorist garbage. He also had several issues of Dabiq, the ISIS terrorist organization's monthly online magazine, but he said he only gets it for the photos of sheep and other farm animals, if you know what he means.

Mo formed several social network groups online and posted messages, photos and videos for ISIS recruitment, says the police statement.

In spite of the fact that ISIS has about 170 million Muslims in its population of 1.25 billion people, there hasn't been much success in their recruitment. This may be due to the fact that Indians are too busy pumping water, studying their schoolwork, cooking great food, and fixing their bicycles, and have no interest in killing people who think differently than them. Another reason may be the fact that the government has been active in preventing the spread of literal Islam and taken security measures since the Paris attacks.

The arrest of Sirajuddin has "not so far affected IOC shares which rose 0.25% on Friday morning," reports the AFF.

Obama Gitmo and the end game

He promised to be the most transparent president in our nation's history. He told us if we liked our doctors, we can keep our doctors; period.

He said that we are not at war with Islam and that Islam is a religion of peace. He even told us Islamic State isn't Islamic and it isn't a state. He told us he would lead the war against Islamic State with "strategic patience."

Then he claimed that the real threat to our country isn't terrorism, it's climate change. In fact, he blamed terrorism on climate  change.

Does president Obama know what the hell he's talking about? Is he stupid or does he have some devious master plan to take America down the road to perdition? I don't believe that, but who knows?

The one promise he made to his liberal base was that he'd close Guantanamo Bay Detention facility in Cuba. The base of lefties loved the idea because it sounded, well, so idealistic, cool and humane. Heck, the guy won a Nobel Peace Prize just three months after he was sworn in and hadn't done one damn peaceful thing then and created anything but peace since.

So he wants to empty Gitmo and a congressional aide confirmed to FoxNews.com that the Pentagon is pushing the idea of possibly transferring another 17 Islamic jihadist terrorists (an oxymoron if ever there was one) but still had concerns that while the strategy to give Obama's legacy some juice by reducing the camp's population to "as low as they can get," it involves "a good deal of risk."

But the substantial risk isn't going to be to the congressional aide, FoxNews.com or even Obama--it will be to the American public. If these terrorists are put into the regular prison system, I strongly believe they will convert as many inmates that aren't Muslim to the religion of peace and create a spate of Jihad Joes.
Kid not in Gitmo

Defense Secretary Ash Carter told Congress that he has approved the 17 proposed transfers, but knowing what we now know about Carter's use of his private email account for Defense Department emails, it's clear that his judgment is no better than his boss's.

Especially since he continued using his private email account 2 months after Hillary Clinton used a private server for hers as secretary of state and hopefully threw a spanner in the works of her campaign.

Fauci's top advisor indicted as 'co-conspiritor' in huge COVID cover-up
