Catholic Bishops to Cardinal Cupich: Pump the Brakes on That Award for Pro-Abortion Zealot Dick Durbin

Dick

You know, in the ever-twisting world of liberal Catholicism, where "pro-life" sometimes feels like a suggestion rather than a commandment, we've got another incredible situation. Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago is gearing up to slap a Lifetime Achievement Award on Senator Dick Durbin, yes, the same Dick who has spent his career championing abortion like it's his personal crusade. And now, two bishops are stepping up to say, "Hold up, what in the actual heck?"

LifeNews, a pro-life organization, first released the story.

Cupich is set to honor this radically pro-abortion Democrat at the "Keep Hope Alive" Benefit on November 3, courtesy of the Archdiocese of Chicago's Office of Human Dignity and Solidarity. Because apparently, nothing screams "human dignity" like celebrating a politician who's fine with abortions up to birth and even letting born-alive babies fend for themselves. Pro-life folks are understandably losing their minds, calling it a straight-up betrayal of Catholic teachings, and a scandal that could make even the most devout do a double-take.

Illinois Right to Life is firing up the faithful, urging them to bombard the Archdiocese's Office of Human Dignity and Solidarity Director Jose Coronel or dial up 312-534-8200 to politely (or not so politely) demand they scrap this garbage. The message they're sending is that the Church should actually defend the vulnerable instead of cozying up to abortion's biggest cheerleaders.

But the real fireworks come from Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield, Illinois, Durbin's hood, who dropped a blistering statement basically begging Cupich to yank the award before it blows up in everyone's face.

"I was shocked to learn that the Archdiocese of Chicago plans to honor Senator Richard Durbin with a Lifetime Achievement Award through its Office of Human Dignity and Solidarity Immigration," Paprocki said.

He pointed out how Durbin's record on infanticide and late-term abortions is about as Catholic as a bar mitzvah.

"Given Senator Durbin's long and consistent record of supporting the legal killing of babies, including opposing legislation to protect children who survive failed abortions, this decision risks causing grave scandal, confusing the faithful about the Church's unequivocal teaching on the sanctity of human life," Bishop Paprocki wrote. "Honoring a public figure who has actively worked to expand and entrench the right to end innocent human life in the womb undermines the very concept of human dignity and solidarity that the award purports to uphold."

Paprocki reminded everyone that Durbin has been persona non grata at Communion in his own diocese for two decades because of this garbage.

"Senator Durbin, who has been barred from receiving Holy Communion in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois since 2004 for his public support of abortion, should not be celebrated by the Church. This decision not only contradicts the Church's moral doctrine but also sows confusion about the seriousness of abortion and the integrity of Catholic witness in public life," Bishop Paprocki added. "I urge Cardinal Cupich to reconsider this action for the sake of clarity, unity, and fidelity to the Gospel of Life."

Not to be outdone, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco chimed in on X, backing Paprocki all the way.

“I stand in solidarity with Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield, Illinois, in urging Cardinal Cupich to reconsider giving Senator Durbin a Lifetime Achievement Award through the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office of Human Dignity and Solidarity given his long record of supporting legal abortion,” Archbishop Cordileone wrote.

The Archbishop added: "Bishop Paprocki, who is Senator Dick Durbin's bishop, has expressed shock that the Archdiocese plans to honor Senator Durbin who, although a make believe Catholic, supports access to abortion so radically that he has even opposed legislation to protect babies born after an attempted abortion. Bishop Paprocki is correct that both clarity and unity are at risk. I hope this will be a clarion call to all members of the Body of Christ to speak out to make clear the grave evil that is the taking of innocent human life."

Illinois Right to Life isn't pulling punches either, slamming the award as a hypocritical mess that flies in the face of the Church's rock-solid defense of the unborn.

"The Church emphasizes that human beings are integrated persons and that we cannot live in spiritual harmony if we are denying even one aspect of the truth of the faith," said Illinois Right to Life President Mary Kate Zander in comments to LifeNews. "Presenting Dick Durbin with an award – and from the Office of Human Dignity, no less – is an explicitly inconsistent and un-Catholic choice by Cardinal Cupich. Not only does it cause scandal among the faithful by creating confusion, it also puts the Senator’s soul at risk by failing to hold him accountable for his refusal to oppose abortion in the U.S. Senate."

Durbin, who has been playing the "devout Catholic" card since sliding into the Senate in 1997, has a rap sheet that's pure poison for pro-lifers, just like his fellow 'Catholic' Joe Biden.

Durbin has voted down the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (because who cares if babies feel pain at 20 weeks?), and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would've just ensured medical care for kids who miraculously survive botched abortions. Nope, not for Dick.

He even pushed the Women's Health Protection Act to lock in Roe v. Wade-style abortions nationwide, right up to the delivery room, even after the Supreme Court tossed that junk out. And it isn't just votes—Durbin's got a mouth on him too. During Amy Coney Barrett's 2020 Supreme Court confirmation, he grilled her on being an "orthodox Catholic" and wearing a rosary, like that's some weird fringe thing instead of, you know, actual faith.

Flash forward to 2021, and Paprocki doubled down by barring Durbin from Communion in Springfield over his abortion obsession.

Now, Cupich's boneheaded move to honor this guy is shining a fresh spotlight on his own squishy stance on abortion—especially after he kicked off the 2024 Democratic National Convention with a prayer, where abortion's been the party's holy grail since the '80s. You can't make this stuff up, folks.

IL crack dealer whose sentence was commuted by former President Obama, charged with attempted murder

If Obama had a son his age, he'd look like him

It's the same old tired story of people who were granted clemency, or got off on a no bond situation, or were given a suspended sentence and then go out and kill someone. [Or allegedly kill or attempt to kill someone until it's proven in court that they indeed did the deed.] See, the lawmakers who allow us to be soft on serious crime are not the ones affected by serious crime, but it's what they do to get reelected.

And this is the case where a former crack cocaine dealer released from a life sentence in prison by former President Obama, is back in the slammer for allegedly shooting at a passenger in a car on an Illinois highway, according to police.

The alleged shooter, Alton Mills, 54, got out of prison eight years ago and now has been charged on three attempted murder charges over a shooting the left the victim in critical condition.

Mills was inside a vehicle and allegedly fired "multiple shots" at another vehicle. The incident took place on a ramp at Interstate 57 Sunday in Posen, about 30 miles south of the major crime city of Democratic-run Chicago.

“The back-seat passenger in the victim vehicle was struck by gun-fire and was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries,” police said.

Mills was being held without bond following his arrest.

In 2016, he had his life sentence commuted after serving only 22 years in prison for drug charges. He was convicted in 1994 on federal charges as part of a crack cocaine conspiracy that ruined the lives of myriad individuals.

By the time he was convicted, the POS already had two prior convictions for having less than five grams of crack cocaine in his possession. Prosecutors then filed a sentence enhancement to put him away without the possibility of parole.

At the time, the liberal judge in the case expressed disagreement over the harsh sentence, but refused to use him as a babysitter.

Illinois Sen. Dick [seriously] Durbin (D), repeatedly shared the Mills victimhood story, even on the Senate floor, and there was not a wet eye on the right side of the room. It's rumored that Dick has never been shot at and lives in a basically crime-free area and also has armed security.

SCOTUS Justices release joint statement about leftist extremism

All nine Supreme Court justices issued a joint statement last week opposing Senate Democrats' trying to impose new ethics oversight measures to control their decision-making process. This attempt comes after the leftists tried to stir up ire and controversy aimed at the three conservative justices whose decisions they despise, just like they do with the U.S. Constitution.

Some Democrats have described the U.S. Constitution as an outdated, irrelevant document because that outdated document allows them the free speech in which to make that almost seditious claim.

So last week, all nine justices, including non-biologist Ketanji Brown-Jackson, released a statement opposing the fascistic efforts to impose their power move over the judiciary and the nation's highest court.

The justices' statement also contained a letter from Chief Justice, John Roberts, to Senate Judicial Committee Chair Dick Durbin (D-IL) stating that he will not be attending a hearing requested by Senate Democrats.

“Testimony by the Chief Justice of the United States before the Senate Judiciary Committee is extremely rare, as one would anticipate in light of the separation of powers concerns along with the importance of maintaining judicial independence,” Roberts stated, refusing to bend a knee for the left.

The justices explained that they wrote the statement to "offer further clarification to the bar as well as the public regarding the way the Justices handle certain recurring problems and is also to put to rest a few common misconceptions."

Those misconceptions primarily arise from the left who hate the idea of separation of powers as clearly elucidated in the U.S. Constitution in which the three branches of government, executive, legislative and judiciary, are kept separate. Each branch is given certain powers which checks and balances the other branches. In the left's latest move on the Supreme Court, they would like to have control over them with a final say on their rulings.

The fact that leftists were able to protest with impunity in front of the homes of conservative justices in order to pressure and scare them when a ruling on Roe v. Wade was being considered, showed their hand even before this latest move. The letter highlighted those previous threats, which reached their peak last year when a leftist attempted to murder three conservative justices.

“A word on security is required. Judges at all levels experience increased threats to their personal safety,” the letter stated. “These threats are amplified in the case of Supreme Court members due to the higher profile of the issues they address. Recent events demonstrate that such threats are not just hypothetical. The Supreme Court Police, United States Marshals, state and local law enforcement, and other agencies are in charge of security. Matters discussed here, including travel, lodging, and disclosure, may at times be subject to security recommendations.”

So good for the justices, even the ones who cannot tell us what is a woman. At least when it comes to their own power, they're willing to take a stand to remain separated from the executive and legislative branches of government.

Rob Reiner says GOP lawmakers challenging election will be "committing sedition and treason"

Leftist Hollywood dolt who got his start playing in "All in the Family" as Archie Bunker's son-in-law referred to as "Meathead," has finally perfected that role. Reiner is attacking GOP lawmakers for doing the exact same thing Democrats have done a number of times in the past, starting in 1969 when both they and the Republicans wanted to get rid of the electoral college.

Now Meathead is attacking the Republicans who plan to challenge the electoral college results and is accusing them of committing "sedition and treason."

Sedition is defined as "conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarchy."

Treason is "the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign of overthrow the government."

Sorry, I don't see it. Neither definition applies to the notion of challenging or questioning the results of the electoral college. The Republicans are not trying to overthrow the country or betray it. They don't want to kill President-elect Joseph Robinette Biden--he will likely be leaving office before finishing his first term if his mental capacity continues its spiral down at the same rate it appears to be going. All the Republicans want to do is to take a good, hard look at how the election turned out the way it did.

Meathead has constantly called Trump a Russian asset, a claim that has been disproved and should embarrass anyone who continues to make it. But meatheads don't embarrass easily, I suppose.

“Every Senator and Congressperson who votes to overturn the election will be committing an act of Sedition and Treason. Their names will be recorded for history,” Reiner wrote.

Funny, Reiner and the Democrats didn't oppose it when members of their Party did the same thing in the past. In fact, the prior three times a Republican was elected president [Trump in 2016, and George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004], House Democrats' heads exploded and they objected to the electoral votes in states Republicans won.

In early 2005 specifically, Sen. Barbara Boxer, (D-CA), along with Rep. Stephanie Tubbs (D-OH), objected to Bush's 2004 electoral votes in Ohio.

Thus, the chambers were forced to leave their joint session and debate separately for two hours on whether to reject Ohio's electoral votes. Neither did, but the objection by Boxer and Tubbs serves as a modern precedent for what is likely to happen in Congress on Jan. 6 and the blatant hypocrisy on the part of the Democrats where some praised Boxer's move including Sen Dick Durbin (D-IL) on the Senate floor:
"Some may criticize our colleague from California for bringing us here for this brief debate. I thank her for doing that because it gives members an opportunity once again on a bipartisan basis to look at a challenge that we face not just in the last election in one State but in many States."
But who went hard on Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) for challenging the electoral college results:
"The political equivalent of barking at the moon. This won’t be taken seriously, nor should it be. The American people made a decision on Nov. 3rd and that decision must and will be honored and protected by the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives."

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) is another hypocrite who previously praised Boxer:
"I believe that Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-OH) have performed a very valuable public service in bringing this debate before the Congress. As Americans, we should all be troubled by reports of voting problems in many parts of the country," Van Hollen, who was then a House member, said in a press release. "I have been particularly concerned about the lack of a verifiable paper record in connection with electronic voting systems. I am proud to be a co-sponsor of legislation to solve that problem."
House Speaker Nancy "Frenetic Paws" Pelosi (D-CA), made similar comments at a Wednesday press conference.:

"I have no doubt that on next Wednesday, a week from today, that Joe Biden will be confirmed by the acceptance of the vote of the Electoral College as the 46th president of the United States," she said.

But in 2005 on the House floor Pelosi said lauded Boxer's challenge

"Today we are witnessing Democracy at work. This isn't as some of our Republican colleagues have referred to it, sadly, as frivolous. This debate is fundamental to our democracy," she said at the time. "The representatives of the American people in this house are standing up for three fundamental American beliefs: The right to vote is sacred; that a representative has a duty to represent his or her constituents; and that the rule of law is the hallmark of our nation."

Pelosi, however, made clear that "under the rule of law today this House will accept the election of President Bush and Vice President Cheney. ... There is absolutely no question about that. This isn't about in any way rejecting that outcome. ... It is instead to discuss the real problems with our electoral system."

Back to Meathead Reiner--he tweeted:
Every Senator and Congressperson who votes to overturn the election will be committing an act of Sedition and Treason. Their names will be recorded for history.

— Rob Reiner (@robreiner) January 2, 2021
Yes, whenever a Congressman votes, their votes are recorded for history; Reiner got that one correct. The treason and sedition part, not so much. Leftists like to think that whenever someone disagrees with what they want, those people are committing some crime against the country.

Except when their side does the same thing.

A number of Republicans in the Senate and House plan to challenge the electoral college results on January 6th. They cite allegations of voter fraud, poor enforcement of voting laws, as well as other irregularities in the election.

At least 140 House Republicans are expected to join the effort to challenge the results, Breitbart News reported.

Reiner’s claim that GOP lawmakers will be committing “sedition and treason” is stupid and has no basis in law.

Was it not sedition and treason four years ago when several House Democrats objected to the electoral college results of Trump’s 2016 presidential victory?

Rob Meathead Reiner has made numerous and unfounded accusations against President Trump, calling him a murderer and a white supremacist on social media. The man has no credibility.

Pelosi rejects border-security facts with her delusions

House Speaker Nancy "Hyper Hands" Pelosi got into a verbal kerfuffle with Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.

Pelosi kept interrupting Nielsen's presentation on border security and illegal immigration, saying "I reject your facts." Ironically, the facts don't belong to anyone--they simply exist--and Pelosi's facts only exist in her mind. Meanwhile, President Trump is not budging on his demand for funding a border wall.

At one point during Nielsen's presentation, according to the Wall Street Journal, Pelosi interrupted her as she was citing statistics related to the border, including how many criminal illegal immigrants attempted to enter the U.S. last year.

“I reject your facts,” Pelosi told Nielsen.

“These aren’t my facts," Nielsen shot back. "These are the facts.” But Pelosi's feelings were hurt and that's all that matters to liberals.

Following the episode, Nielsen went to social media to criticize Pelosi and the Democrats for not wanting to hear about the issue of illegal immigration. She tweeted:
“I am disappointed that Dems did not want to hear from @DHSgov about the security & humanitarian crisis we are facing at the border. They didn’t want to hear about criminal aliens, drug smugglers, smuggled & abused children or violent caravans trying to breach the border wall.”

“The crisis is not going away-it is getting worse. The status quo in funding & authorities for #DHS is irresponsible & makes our country less secure. Kicking the can down the road is not the answer. I look forward to engaging w Members who want to.”
It isn't about border security, Kirstjen--it's all about politics, nothing more. To give Trump a victory on a campaign promise, in spite of the good it does for the country and that the voters elected him on that promise, does not matter to Democrats.

Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the second-ranking Senate Democrat, also criticized Nielsen’s presentation, telling Bloomberg that it “was not a credible presentation.”

“It was preposterous,” Durbin said. “At a time when we have the lowest level of apprehensions at the border — stopping people from coming in illegally — the lowest level historically, she is saying that we have all these terrorists and criminals and all these people on their way in.”

The lowest level of apprehension is due to the fact that under the Obama administration, whenever an illegal alien was immediately turned back, they counted it as an apprehension. The Trump administration is being honest about the situation--what a novel idea.

Nielsen reportedly told the Democrats at the meeting that border officials along the U.S.-Mexico border had apprehended about 3,000 people with terrorist ties and 17,000 criminals last year. Whether that number is accurate is less important than the fact that terrorists are among the migrants, and the fact that we have a constitutional obligation to preserve the sanctity of our nation.

However, to be clear, the number may very well be accurate.

"Hyper Hands" also asked the DHS head whether she was counting anyone crossing the border illegally as having a criminal record, with the administration denying that’s how the figure was devised.

Wednesday’s meeting didn’t resolve the government shutdown as both sides continue to stick to their principles and refuse to concede.

On Friday, following another contentious meeting in the White House with congressional leaders, Trump warned that the partial government shutdown could last “years” and saying he could even declare a “national emergency” to bypass Congress if necessary to build the wall.

What he also needs to do, is make it clear that the government shutdown would end if the Democrats would simply fund the wall like they advocated in the past. What has changed[?] he needs to ask.

“We can call a national emergency [to build a border wall] because of the security of our country,” Trump told reporters in the Rose Garden, during a lengthy and impromptu press conference on Friday.

“I may do it,” he said, before adding, “If we can do it through a negotiated process, we’re giving it a shot.”

Well here we are in the beginning of a new year and the world still hasn't come to an end with President Trump in the White House, in spite of what the media and the left [but I repeat myself] would have you believe.

Chuck Nostrils Schumer the ringmaster of Kavanaugh circus

Bwah ha ha
The Democrats have turned the nomination hearing for Brett Kavanaugh into the Big Top Circus. And it turns out the biggest butt clown is no other than Chuck Schumer and his magic nostrils.

It wasn't a secret that the Democrats planned "interruptions" during the hearing and to create chaos and obstruction of the democratic process during the nomination of a Supreme Court justice.

Now a new report exposes Schumer as the ringleader of the circus and some of the main clowns appear to be Kamala Harris and Cory Booker and Linda "Allahu Akbar" Sarsour, among a whole host of no-name paid protesters.

The chaotic opening of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing was coordinated by Democratic senators whose goal was to stall the nomination process. They had already made it clear they wouldn't vote to confirm even before hearing began, and, after they started, they complained they didn't get enough documentation nor the time to review what they did receive. Stalling--that was the plan.

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) was asked by GOP Sen. Thom Tillis during Tuesday's hearing about reports that Sen. Schumer (D-NY) led a conference phone call over the long weekend talking about protest plans. He didn't protest and appeared to acknowledge that this actually did happen.

"There was a phone conference yesterday," Durbin said, "where many issues were raised." He added that the discussion included concerns "over 100,000 documents related to Judge Kavanaugh had been characterized by the chairman of the committee as committee confidential." Durbin questions of whether the committee should hear the nominee "without access to basic information about his public record."

Unnamed sources reported that Democrats talked about a strategy that went so far as to walk out of the confirmation hearings.

But Schumer, apparently, ultimately decided against walking out fearing a backlash that would only help the GOP and hurt their reelection chances, which is why they're grandstanding during the hearing in the first place. This move of not making the move to walk out, shows a split between the far left libtards who want to stop the confirmation under any means necessary, and the more senior Democrats, who believe that Kavanaugh should be defeated by following the rules.

The left ultimately compromised with being disruptive morons and create chaos.

At the very start of the hearings, the neophyte senator, Kamala Harris, (D-Calif.) rudely interrupted Sen. Grassley when he began his opening remarks. She is a presidential hopeful who was simply trying to get her face on TV for her personal agenda. She urged the committee to delay the hearing [hopefully after the midterm elections] amid protests by leftist anarchists, some of whom were arrested.

Senator Durbin says a 'bad word' all the time

It's no accident that the media keeps using the word" sh**hole" to indict  the President for using it in a closed door meeting. They never used the "F" word when former Vice President Joe Biden used it and never reported on Chelsea Handler's vulgarity and homophobic rant against Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC).

It's only when a Republican says something improper that you get morons like CNN's Jim Acosta, to repeat the sh**hole word 15 times without bleeping it.

But what about Sen. Richard Durbin (D-IL)?

Not only has Durbin accused President Trump of saying the word "sh**hole," he has been known to throw around the penis sobriquet "d**k" like it was going out of style.

What about Robert DeNiro? Is it okay for any American to speak in such vulgar terms about the office of the president?

DeNiro is a s***head.

Dems want entire GOP to resign

Rod Rosenstein greets Elizabeth Warren
Democrats are not pulling punches anymore. They have called for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to resign and for all members of the Republican Party to follow suit.

"We're sick and tired of having to fight the Republican Party tooth and nail on every single issue," Chuck Schumer said.

Schumer is the kissin'  cousin of Amy Schumer, the vagina-centric comedienne who's as funny as a box of dead kittens. He is also the Democratic Senate Minority Leader and Hall Monitor and holds the American record for Most Developed Nostrils.

This demand for all Republican members of all three branches of government began when Democrats called for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to resign because he reportedly decided not to appoint a special prosecutor in the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in our presidential election in which Hillary Clinton miserably lost.

Clinton swears it wasn't her fault she lost to Donald Trump, so it must have been that Trump cheated. Yeah, that's the ticket.

The Democrats claim that there is a chance the Trump campaign colluded with Russia due to Vladimir Putin's intense dislike for both Hillary and Chelsea Clinton. You see, as a young child, Vladimir was once terrified when waking up in bed next to a beheaded Howdy Doody puppet that his older brother put on his pillow. Now whenever he sees Chelsea, he is reminded of the horror.

Now the entire Democratic Party is on board to rid the nation of the Republican Party "once and for all."

"I support @SenatorDurbin's call for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to resign if he is unwilling to appoint a special counsel," Sen. Dianne Feinsten (Ditz--Calif.) tweeted.

Democrats and the fake media were hoping Rosenstein would appoint a special prosecutor, perhaps Rachel Maddow, after James Comey was fired Tuesday. This appalled the party of the far left, CNN and MSNBC--but I repeat myself.

"This morning, the president tweeted a thinly veiled threat to Mr. Comey," Sen. Dick Durbin (Dick--Ill.) said, "which could be construed as threatening a witness in this investigation, which is another violation of federal law. To preserve his reputation as a credible prosecutor, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein must appoint who I say he must appoint, to pursue criminal charges or he must resign . . . I have spoken."

Dick Durbin was referring to a Trump tweet that read: "James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!"

It is unclear why President Trump used scare quotes around the word 'tapes,' and why he used an exclamation point at the end of his sentence as he often does.

The Democrats used this tweet to compare Trump to Richard Nixon and how he was caught by the recordings he made of Oval Office conversations. And while those tapes weren't a tenth as interesting as video of Bill Clinton would have been if there were any tapes of him in the same room, the notion that Trump would have been ensnared by the tapes don't make sense--it was Trump who brought them up, if they exist. Ironically, it was Bill Clinton who was the only other president to fire his FBI director.

So there they go again--conflating two unrelated events by attaching the idea of "tapes" to them. [Scare quotes are acceptable in that sentence.]

Rosenstein was originally at the center of the foofaraw over Comey's firing from the FBI. First Trump said he was fired due to Rosenstein's recommendation. Then Trump said he would have fired Comey himself even without Rosenstein's input.

Trump's apparent impetuous statements screwed up the messaging of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Principal Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Vice President Mike Pence. Aside from that, everything was okay.

Mr. Trump said that he wants the investigation into Russian collusion to be "absolutely done properly," after assuring the public that there was no "there" there.

Thus far, Rod Rosenstein, President Trump, Vice President Pence, the Republicans in the House and Senate, have no plans of resigning; nor does the remainder of the Republican Party.

Deal with it.

Schumer fights back tears for Harry

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had to fight back wet, salty tears in his heavy-hearted farewell to Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. At one point it looked as if Schumer was going to jump away from the podium and plant a wet one on the failed Minority Leader's leather-like lips.

"Harry, I wouldn't be the senator or the man that I am today without you," Schumer sniffed. His voice quivered with unbelievable emotion as he spoke on Capitol Hill.

Reid picked Schumer to be his replacement as the top leftist instead of Illinois' Dick Durbin, who is the second-ranking in the chamber.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I will miss you," Schumer said in closing. "It will be quite some time until we see another like Harry Reid. Until then, this portrait will have to do."

Schumer spoke for 15 minutes before the farewell portrait of Reid was unveiled. (Rumor has it that John Boehner has a similar portrait of Reid made of cork that he used as a dartboard.)

Reid has been in the Senate for 30 years and over a decade as the top Democratic "Nay Sayer."

He is responsible for helping President Obama get ObamaCare passed in 2009, which has been steadily increasing in cost and causing the top healthcare insurance providers from dropping out of the system.

Because of Reid, the Republicans now control the Senate and can use his "nuclear option" where a simple majority is needed to pass legislation. What he thought would give more power to the Democrats has come back to bite him on the buns. He leaves the Democratic Party now that they've lost control of the Senate in 2014 and failed to get it back in 2016.

Reid, 77, is the third-longest-serving Senate leader in US history.

Reid, an admitted liar regarding Mitt Romney's tax returns and many other issues, he leaves with a remarkable history that includes helping pass finance reform and take with him a whole lot of money that most civil servants would love to have. Remarkable.

Soon, perhaps, Nancy Pelosi will follow in his footsteps and 'get out of Dodge.'

"Unterrorizing" Cuba and other terrorist countries

President Obama is taking Cuba off the list of countries that sponsor terrorism. The so-called commander in chief wants to normalize the relationship with yet another terrorist country, but at least this one isn't an Islamic theocracy that chants "Death to America."

Senator Dick Durbin (D- IL) held the move wicked good leftist should. "The removal of Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list is a welcome move. Well no fan of the Castro regime, I continue to believe that opening up the island to American ideas, vibrancy, and trade is the most effective way to see a more open and tolerant Cuba."
Durban could not explain when he first believed this nonsense or what his rationale was for believing it.

Cuba was one of the four countries on the US list and the others that remain are Syria, Sudan, and Iran. They will likely be next to be removed from the list because this naive President believes that by extending an open hand to nations that hate us and all we stand for will get them to open their clenched fists.

It will probably take a blinding flash, a sonic boom, and a mushroom cloud for leftists to change their collective mind about putting terrorist countries on a  terrorist list. Obama and the left are reluctant to do so because they don't want to insult anyone.

What do you think?

Democrats Scramble to Replace One Embarrassing Candidate With Guy Who Had Kids With His Second Cousin

[COUSIN] BANGOR, ME — The Democratic Party, ever the champions of normalcy and family values, has once again demonstrated its unmatched tale...
