BREAKING: Deputy AG [and Wally Cox lookalike] Rod Rosenstein resigns

Known for his pencil-neck like look and eerie resemblance to the late Wally Cox, Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein submitted his resignation to President Trump Monday, effective May 11th.

Attorney General William Barr in a statement said that Rosenstein served the Justice Department "with dedication and distinction." Trump may have disagreed, but he has not as yet tweeted about it.

"His devotion to the Department and its professionals is unparalleled," the statement read. "Over the course of his distinguished government career, he has navigated many challenging situations with strength, grace, and good humor."

Rosenstein previously served as deputy assistant attorney general and U.S. attorney.

In February, Fox News reported that Barr picked Jeffrey Rosen, who currently serves as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation, to take over for Rosenstein should he leave office.

A source told Fox News in March that Rosenstein had reached an agreement with Barr to stay at the DOJ "a little while longer" after it was reported he planned to leave by mid-March.

The deputy resigned following the conclusion of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the Trump administration and alleged involvement in Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election which was lost by Hillary Clinton and she can't get over it to this day.

McCabe may have planned to 'get rid of Trump by any means necessary' if he could get a consensus

The following is satire so don't fact-check me.

There is no clear-cut evidence that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was plotting to assassinate President Donald J. Trump and discussed the plot with former fired FBI Director James Comey, but it is certainly possible, given the political climate in this country. All McCabe needed was a consensus, and he was ready to do the job.

According to McCabe, the future of the nation was at stake and having a president like Donald Trump was "simply not going to cut it," anonymous sources say he said.

McCabe also alleges that Rod Rosenstein was on board with going "all 25th Amendment on Trump" although he never said it out loud "but I could see it in he=is beady eyes." But Rosenstein denies he ever had that conversation with McCabe because he always felt he couldn't trust him and he was " a bit of an a**hole." He also believes that it's possible, although there is no clear proof, that McCabe is having a secret affair with Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, but that would need further substantiation.

My source at Brain Flushings has discovered that Rosenstein's assessment is 'spot on' regarding McCabe, while James Comey disagrees and thinks that "Lordy, you cannot get a more upstanding, decent, patriotic American than Andy McCabe. I mean, golly, he is wonderful."

BREAKING: Trump fires Sessions

It comes as no surprise that President Trump hasn't been happy with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, but it still comes as a bit of a shock that he would fire him just hours after the midterm elections.

And he made the announcement the way he loves best: he did it on Twitter:

"We are pleased to announce that Matthew G. Whitaker, Chief of Staff to Attorney General Jeff Sessions at the Department of Justice, will become our new Acting Attorney General of the United States. He will serve our country well. ..."

Sessions issued his own resignation letter in which he admitted that he was resigning at the president's request. He explained in the letter that "we have restored and upheld the rule of law--a glorious tradition that each of us has a responsibility to safeguard. We have operated with integrity and have lawfully and aggressively advanced the policy agenda of this administration."

Whitaker has previously been quite critical of the Mueller investigation and now that Sessions is gone, Rod Rosenstein will no longer be in an oversight position over the Mueller investigation.

When Sessions had recused himself from the Mueller investigation it negatively impacted on the president's relationship with him and it seemed that Sessions' firing would eventually be a sure thing based on Trump's history of how he dealt with those who oppose him.

For certain, Sessions was no Eric Holder. He ran the DOJ honestly and did his duty, not as a "Wingman" for the president as Holder said he was to Obama, but as an honest chief law enforcement officer of the United States.

It's unknown whether Whitaker will do anything to impede or end the Mueller investigation, only time will tell as it seems to be coming to a conclusion anyway.

We also need to wait and see who Trump will select to replace Sessions, but with the new Senate majority, it will be fairly easy to do so.

Rosenstein reportedly will resign in anticipation of being fired

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein informed White House Chief of Staff John Kelly that he will be resigning in anticipation of being fired by President Donald "You're Fired!" Trump, Axios reported Monday.

He is currently on his way to the White House so we shall see how this plays out.

Rosenstein, who allegedly said he would wear a wire to record Trump in order to get him removed under the 25th Amendment, expects the president to fire him over the recent New York Times report about the wire tap statement.

Some conservatives believe that firing Rosenstein would be a mistake, but it definitely should be done if the story is true about wearing a wire for such covert anti-administration behavior.

Schumer threatens Trump over firing Rosenstein

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer flared his enormous nostrils and warned President Trump that just because Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein suggested wearing a wiretap in order to record the president to secure an impeachment, is no reason to fire him. If Trump dares to do that, there will be hell to pay.

"This New York Times report must not be used as a pretext for the corrupt purpose of firing Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein in order to install an official who will allow the president to interfere with the Special Counsel's investigation," Schumer tweeted.

Schumer also alleged that other Trump administration officials have supposedly said negative things about him, but they weren't fired.

Perhaps that is because Trump didn't believe they actually did and that the reports about the allegations were fake news.

"Generals Kelly, Mattis and numerous other White House and cabinet officials have been reported to say critical things of the president without being fired," Schumer added.

But saying critical things about Trump is not the same as threatening to undermine him by wearing a wire.

Schumer's tweets come amid a New York Times article claiming the pencil-neck Deputy AG suggested secretly recording the president's conversations with officials at the DOJ and FBI after former FBI Director James Comey was fired.

If The Times report turns out to be fake news, it will be the first time in recorded history of the Trump administration that a mistake was made in favor of the president.

After Rosenstein was caught, he said he was only kidding, of course.

The blockbuster report also said that Rosenstein talked about invoking the 25th Amendment with Cabinet members to remove Trump from office based on his being unfit for duty. But of course, Rod was just joshing.

Rosenstein denied the accuracy of The Times report, describing it as "inaccurate and factually incorrect" and suddenly the "Gray Lady" had become a lying old whore.

"I will not further comment on a story based on anonymous sources who are obviously biased against the department and are advancing their own personal agenda," he wrote in a statement to Fox News. "But let me be clear about this: Based on my personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment."

He said in another statement: "I never pursued or authorized recording the president, and any suggestion that I have ever advocated for the removal of the president is absolutely false,"

Good save, Rod.

So we can now assume that everything The New York Times reports should be considered fake news. Yet somehow I don't believe the left will agree with me when it goes against the GOP.

Rosenstein may become history: impeachment docs seen

Rod Rosenstein may soon be an unhappy camper as two House Republicans are seeking to file impeachment documents against the pencil-neck geek. This may, in fact, come as early as Monday, according to those good old anonymous Capitol Hill sources speaking to Politico.

Members of the House Freedom Caucus,Reps. Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows, are taking issue with Rosenstein's poor handling of the Russia investigation and his refusal to be transparent.

Rosenstein oversees special counsel Robert Mueller's screwed up and scandalous Russian collusion probe and it was Rosenstein who appointed Mueller last year.

Rosenstein, a Mr. Peepers lookalike and arrogant deputy attorney general, has repeatedly stonewalled requests from congressional Republicans for documents pertaining to the investigation.

The weasel even attempted to protect FBI scumcrumpet Peter Strzok, a former Mueller team member, who has been outed as a total anti-Trumper.

Politico's secret sources confirmed that Meadows was seen on the House floor with Rosenstein's impeachment documents Friday afternoon. This came at the same time Rosenstein was announcing new indictments in Mueller's case.

"It has not been filed today," Meadows spokesman told Politico, but he didn't rule out the possibility of the filing taking place sometime early this week.

The announcement by Rosenstein of the indictment of 12 Russian operatives may have been sketchy since it occurred simultaneous to President Trump's meeting with Queen Elizabeth.

The only question now is whether House Speaker Paul Rino Ryan will gather enough support to push it through. Thus far, Ryan has not criticized Rosenstein, although he supposedly backed a House measure condemning the stonewalling and demanding her release certain FBI documents by early July.

It's no surprise that Democrats will not support House Freedom members, because they have become the party of total obstructionists, regardless of the issues.

For those keeping score on the Mueller investigation, nothing substantive has been found against Trump.

BREAKING: Impeachment papers drafted on Rosenstein

Fox News reported that articles of impeachment have been drafted for Rod Rosenstein, Deputy Attorney General. The papers have not as yet been filed but it is expected they will be soon.

Fox News' Chad Pergram reported the papers have been drafted but it's unclear as to which lawmaker drafted the articles of impeachment nor is it known if they will go to a committee or to the floor.

Pengram reported that sources familiar with President Trump's thinking on the matter believe he has no current plans to fire Rosenstein tonight or in the foreseeable future.

House Republicans prepare contempt actions v FBI, DOJ

The U.S. House of Representatives said Saturday that they will draft a contempt of Congress resolution against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray. The claim is that they stonewalled in producing material in the Russia-Trump probes and other matters.

It is believed that Rosenstein has an old photo of Hillary Clinton on the ceiling above his bed, according to my investigative reporter Vinny Boombots, and corroborated by ABC's Brian Ross.

"Unless all our outstanding demands are fully met by close of business on Monday, December 4, 2017, the committee will have the opportunity to move this resolution before the end of the month," said Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, in a statement.

This action has been under consideration by Nunes along with other Intelligence Committee Republicans for several weeks, but Democrats want to see Rosenstein and Wray get away with the stonewalling, much like Jose Garcia Zarate got away with the murder of Kate Steinle. 

Dems say "You wouldn't understand . . . it's a liberal thing."

The action is moving forward after press reports Saturday revealed why a top FBI official was removed from the Special Counsel investigation led by Robert Mueller. 

Specifically, it was Peter Strzok who was the FBI agent taken off the investigation after it was discovered he exchanged anti-Trump, pro-Hillary Clinton text messages with his mistress, Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer working for Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

Thus far, Nunes said the FBI and DOJ have failed to sufficiently comply with the August 24th committee subpoena by specifically refusing repeated demands "for an explanation of Peter Strzok's dismissal from the Mueller probe."

Strzok was also involved in the Clinton illegal private server investigation, so the relationship of both cases is very sketchy and smells like an old Democratic congressman in heat.

"In light of today's press reports, we now know why Strzok was dismissed, why the FBI and DOJ refused to provide us this explanation, and at least one reason why they previously refused to make Deputy Director McCabe available to the Committee for an interview," Nunes said.

Nunes continued: "By hiding from Congress, and from the American people, documented political bias by a key FBI head investigator for both the Russia collusion probe and the Clinton email investigation, the FBI and DOJ engaged in a willful attempt to thwart Congress' constitutional oversight responsibility."

Nunes said that this has been part of "a months-long pattern by the DOJ and FBI of stonewalling and obstructing this Committee's oversight work," and also withholding subpoenaed information about their use of an opposition research dossier targeting President Trump in the 2016 election. 

The dossier was paid for by both the DNC and Clinton through a law firm. Nunes and Speaker Ryan want to investigate to see whether the DOJ and FBI improperly relied on the dossier to begin their federal surveillance on Trump and his associates without independently confirming the information they received in the dossier to justify such spying.

"The DOJ has now expressed--on Saturday, just hours after the press reports on Strzok's dismissal appeared--sudden willingness to comply with some of the Committee's long-standing demands," Nunes said. "This attempted 11th-hour accommodation is neither credible nor believable, and in fact is yet another example of the DOJ's disingenuousness and obstruction." He then added that those agencies "should be investigating themselves."

Big Deal: Rosenstein scolds Comey over Trump memo leak

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told Martha MacCallum of Fox News that he would not have approved of fired FBI Director James Comey's decision to leak personal notes on discussions with President Trump. 

The fact that he actually has to verbalize it is incredible. OF COURSE HE SHOULDN'T HAVE LEAKED THE DAMN MEMOS. They're private discussions with the President of the United States.

The tall former FBI head talked about his controversy and the Russia probe led by his close friend and soulmate Robert (Comey calls him "Spike') Mueller. The exclusive Fox interview will air Wednesday night on Fox News' "The Story."

Rosenstein also had tough words when Martha asked him about Comey's admission that he used another buddy at Columbia University to get one of his penned memos over to leftist The New York Times. 

But tough, schmough. Nothing is going to come of it.

"As a general proposition, you have to understand the Department of Justice. We take confidentiality seriously, so when we have memoranda about our ongoing matters, we have an obligation to keep that confidential," Rosenstein said, matter of factly.

Asked if he would prohibit releasing memos on a discussion with the president, Rosenstein said, "As a general position, I think it is quite clear. It's what we were taught, all of us as prosecutors and agents."

But nothing is going to come of it.

Rosenstein has come under strong criticism over his role in the controversy. His own memo, which laid out the rationale for firing Comey was first cited as a key factor by Trump et al, though Trump and his aides have since tap danced around it and gave varying explanations as to the role Rosenstein's recommendation played.

"I love you, man"

In his infinite wisdom, Rosenstein eventually appointed Comey's bunk- buddy, Mueller, to oversee the probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign, and do what he could to help Jimmy out of this mess and maybe put Trump into its center.

This was Mueller's golden opportunity to repay Comey back for the ten bucks he loaned him back in the day, and he sure as heck wasn't going to recuse himself.

In his first national interview, Rosenstein doubled down on his stupid decision to appoint Mueller despite his cosy relationship with Comey, Comey's wife, their gardener and extended family.

"How could I not say 'yes,'" Mueller asked rhetorically.

"He had an excellent reputation. Really bipartisan support for his integrity. That's why I made that decision," he said.

"The Department of Justice, we judge by results and so my view about that is, we'll see if they do the right thing."

Nothing will come of it. Comey and OJ Simpson are going on Dancing in the Bars as partners and will write books about it all.

And they will laugh about it as they count their money.

Crystal ball readings from the Dems

Clairvoyant Democratic senators say that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein knew that FBI Director James Comey was going to be fired before he learned that he had to write the letter saying that Comey should be fired.

One Democratic senator even predicted that by 2027 a meteor would come dangerously close to the earth and Al Gore would buy back Al Jazeera, the TV station he sold to the sharia advocates.

The Rosenstein memo was cited by the White House as the reason for Comey's firing, but the story changed and the White House Press Secretary and Deputy Press Secretary were made to look foolish.

The crystal ball reading came Thursday from a Democratic senator who has made 'a killing' on the ponies as he knew the outcomes in advance.

Rosenstein had named a special counsel (not councel, President Trump) to oversee the Russian probe that Comey helped lead before he was fired. The previous day, Rosenstein briefed all of the Senate on Capitol Hill.

Even Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) said: "He knew that Comey was going to be removed prior to him writing his memo."

How McCaskill knew that is under a special committee investigation and Republicans are calling for her impeachment as they believe she is the leaker of all things secret since she knows about Rosenstein.

Dems want entire GOP to resign

Democrats are not pulling punches anymore. They have called for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to resign and for all members of the Republican Party to follow suit.

"We're sick and tired of having to fight the Republican Party tooth and nail on every single issue," Chuck Schumer said.

Schumer is the kissin'  cousin of Amy Schumer, the vagina-centric comedienne who's as funny as a box of dead kittens. He is also the Democratic Senate Minority Leader and Hall Monitor and holds the American record for Most Developed Nostrils.

This demand for all Republican members of all three branches of government began when Democrats called for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to resign because he reportedly decided not to appoint a special prosecutor in the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in our presidential election in which Hillary Clinton miserably lost. 

Clinton swears it wasn't her fault she lost to Donald Trump, so it must have been that Trump cheated. Yeah, that's the ticket.

The Democrats claim that there is a chance the Trump campaign colluded with Russia due to Vladimir Putin's intense dislike for both Hillary and Chelsea Clinton. You see, as a young child, Vladimir was once terrified when waking up in bed next to a beheaded Howdy Doody puppet that his older brother put on his pillow. Now whenever he sees Chelsea, he is reminded of the horror.

Now the entire Democratic Party is on board to rid the nation of the Republican Party "once and for all."

"I support @SenatorDurbin's call for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to resign if he is unwilling to appoint a special counsel," Sen. Dianne Feinsten (Ditz--Calif.) tweeted.

Democrats and the fake media were hoping Rosenstein would appoint a special prosecutor, perhaps Rachel Maddow, after James Comey was fired Tuesday. This appalled the party of the far left, CNN and MSNBC--but I repeat myself.

"This morning, the president tweeted a thinly veiled threat to Mr. Comey," Sen. Dick Durbin (Dick--Ill.) said, "which could be construed as threatening a witness in this investigation, which is another violation of federal law. To preserve his reputation as a credible prosecutor, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein must appoint who I say he must appoint, to pursue criminal charges or he must resign . . . I have spoken."

Dick Durbin was referring to a Trump tweet that read: "James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!"

It is unclear why President Trump used scare quotes around the word 'tapes,' and why he used an exclamation point at the end of his sentence as he often does.

The Democrats used this tweet to compare Trump to Richard Nixon and how he was caught by the recordings he made of Oval Office conversations. And while those tapes weren't a tenth as interesting as video of Bill Clinton would have been if there were any tapes of him in the same room, the notion that Trump would have been ensnared by the tapes don't make sense--it was Trump who brought them up, if they exist. Ironically, it was Bill Clinton who was the only other president to fire his FBI director.

So there they go again--conflating two unrelated events by attaching the idea of "tapes" to them. [Scare quotes are acceptable in that sentence.]

Rosenstein was originally at the center of the foofaraw over Comey's firing from the FBI. First Trump said he was fired due to Rosenstein's recommendation. Then Trump said he would have fired Comey himself even without Rosenstein's input. 

Trump's apparent impetuous statements screwed up the messaging of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Principal Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Vice President Mike Pence. Aside from that, everything was okay.

Mr. Trump said that he wants the investigation into Russian collusion to be "absolutely done properly," after assuring the public that there was no "there" there. 

Thus far, Rod Rosenstein, President Trump, Vice President Pence, the Republicans in the House and Senate, have no plans of resigning; nor does the remainder of the Republican Party.

Deal with it.

Trump threatens to cancel press briefings

In an atomic Tweet Bombing on Friday, President Trump warned his newly-fired FBI director not to leak anything about their conversations and also suggested that he might cancel future press briefings over the firing of Comey. 

"As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!" Trump exclaimed in writing. "Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future "press briefings" and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???"

Three question marks? That's like 'very, very, very.'

In response to a private dinner conversation between Trump and Comey as reported by The New York Times, Trump warned the former FBI director: "James Comey better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!"

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that Trump fired Comey after he received a written recommendation (written the same day as the firing) from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as well as a letter from Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The Rosenstein memo citied Comey's mishandling of Hillary Clinton's private illegal email server as the main reason for his termination. 

"That was a DoJ decision," Spicer said.

Then Vice President Pence got into the act as he spoke at the Capitol on Wednesday and also pointed to Rosenstein and Sessions for the firing.

"Let me be very clear that the President's decision to accept the recommendation of the deputy attorney general and the attorney general to remove Director Comey as the head of the FBI was based solely and exclusively on his commitment to the best interests of the American people and to ensuring that the FBI has the trust and confidence of the people of this nation," Pence said.

Then Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders got into the act saying that the president was merely following the guidance of his top advisers.

"I think it's real simple," Sanders told MSNBC. "The Deputy Attorney General . . . made a very strong recommendation. The president followed it and he made a quick and decisive action to fire James Comey."

And finally came the spoiler, President Trump himself. In an interview with NBC, he said that Comey was a "showboat" and "grandstander." He then claimed that he had made up his mind to fire Comey long ago, no matter what Rosenstein and Sessions told him.

"I was going to fire regardless of recommendation," Trump said rather ungrammatically. 

Trump's interview aired less than an hour before Sanders led the White House press briefing, with reporters upset that what they were led to believe on Wednesday was not what Trump said on Thursday. She denied the information she received was inaccurate and claimed the narratives matched closely and added that the White House wasn't trying to blame Rosenstein for Comey's firing.

Fodder for the Democratic machine. The leftists want a thorough review of what happened.

It is totally the president's prerogative to fire an FBI director--it was done before, by Bill Clinton, no less. Although they are to serve for ten years, they serve at the pleasure of the president in office.

Simply put, the Democrats are trying to make something out of nothing, other than Trump being Trump.
