GOP ensures ICE funding through Trump's term in office

The GOP-led Senate wasted no time early Thursday morning, ramming through a budget plan that funds the Department of Homeland Security and pours another $70 billion into immigration enforcement for the rest of President Trump’s term in office.

Democrats were livid that illegal aliens could not remain in their voter base.

The measure cleared the narrowly divided chamber on a 50-48 party-line vote, with every Republican in support and Democrats unified in opposition. For all Republicans to stand together on any issue is known as "The Miracle on Capitol Hill."

GOP leaders hailed the passage as a critical step to lock down the border [and level the voter playing field]. The resolution now heads to the House and sets up the reconciliation process, allowing Republicans to advance the funding bill without Democrats’ filibuster roadblocks.

“We have a multistep process ahead of us, but at the end, Republicans will have helped ensure that America’s borders are secure and prevented Democrats from defunding these important agencies,” said Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-ND).

Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) ripped into Democrats for blocking DHS funding 16 times. The department has gone without proper funding since February 14, 2026.

“Democrats are playing to the most radical members of their party. Through their actions, Democrats are putting the safety and security of our nation behind the safety and security of their own political careers,” he said from the Senate floor.

Democrats spent the debate pushing amendments they insisted would tackle housing, childcare, and health care costs.

“Instead of pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into ICE and Border Patrol, Republicans should be working with Democrats to lower out-of-pocket costs,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said.

Several Republican priorities fell short after moderate [aka RINO] GOP senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) crossed the aisle to join Democrats. The pair helped kill a proposal from Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) to strip funding from Planned Parenthood.

“One recent study found that in three years alone, Planned Parenthood got a billion and a half dollars from Medicaid and Medicare. Money to be used on these risky surgeries and [transgender] procedures for our children. This is wrong,” Hawley said. “This is a terrible misuse of federal funds, and we should put a stop to it today.”

Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC), Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Murkowski, and Collins also teamed up with Democrats to block Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) from attaching the SAVE Act, which would require photo ID to vote in federal elections, to the budget measure.

Chuck Nostrils Schumer the ringmaster of Kavanaugh circus

Bwah ha ha
The Democrats have turned the nomination hearing for Brett Kavanaugh into the Big Top Circus. And it turns out the biggest butt clown is no other than Chuck Schumer and his magic nostrils.

It wasn't a secret that the Democrats planned "interruptions" during the hearing and to create chaos and obstruction of the democratic process during the nomination of a Supreme Court justice.

Now a new report exposes Schumer as the ringleader of the circus and some of the main clowns appear to be Kamala Harris and Cory Booker and Linda "Allahu Akbar" Sarsour, among a whole host of no-name paid protesters.

The chaotic opening of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing was coordinated by Democratic senators whose goal was to stall the nomination process. They had already made it clear they wouldn't vote to confirm even before hearing began, and, after they started, they complained they didn't get enough documentation nor the time to review what they did receive. Stalling--that was the plan.

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) was asked by GOP Sen. Thom Tillis during Tuesday's hearing about reports that Sen. Schumer (D-NY) led a conference phone call over the long weekend talking about protest plans. He didn't protest and appeared to acknowledge that this actually did happen.

"There was a phone conference yesterday," Durbin said, "where many issues were raised." He added that the discussion included concerns "over 100,000 documents related to Judge Kavanaugh had been characterized by the chairman of the committee as committee confidential." Durbin questions of whether the committee should hear the nominee "without access to basic information about his public record."

Unnamed sources reported that Democrats talked about a strategy that went so far as to walk out of the confirmation hearings.

But Schumer, apparently, ultimately decided against walking out fearing a backlash that would only help the GOP and hurt their reelection chances, which is why they're grandstanding during the hearing in the first place. This move of not making the move to walk out, shows a split between the far left libtards who want to stop the confirmation under any means necessary, and the more senior Democrats, who believe that Kavanaugh should be defeated by following the rules.

The left ultimately compromised with being disruptive morons and create chaos.

At the very start of the hearings, the neophyte senator, Kamala Harris, (D-Calif.) rudely interrupted Sen. Grassley when he began his opening remarks. She is a presidential hopeful who was simply trying to get her face on TV for her personal agenda. She urged the committee to delay the hearing [hopefully after the midterm elections] amid protests by leftist anarchists, some of whom were arrested.
