President
Obama is taking Cuba off the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.
The so-called commander in chief wants to normalize the relationship
with yet another terrorist country, but at least this one isn't an
Islamic theocracy that chants "Death to America."
Senator
Dick Durbin (D- IL) held the move wicked good leftist should. "The
removal of Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list is a welcome
move. Well no fan of the Castro regime, I continue to believe that
opening up the island to American ideas, vibrancy, and trade is the most
effective way to see a more open and tolerant Cuba."
Durban could not explain when he first believed this nonsense or what his rationale was for believing it.
Cuba
was one of the four countries on the US list and the others that remain
are Syria, Sudan, and Iran. They will likely be next to be removed from
the list because this naive President believes that by extending an
open hand to nations that hate us and all we stand for will get them to
open their clenched fists.
It
will probably take a blinding flash, a sonic boom, and a mushroom cloud
for leftists to change their collective mind about putting terrorist
countries on a terrorist list. Obama and the left are reluctant to do
so because they don't want to insult anyone.
What do you think?
