NY Crime trumps COVID as businesses urged to have customers remove masks in stores

It seems as if everything goes full circle. Now that crime has surged in New York City, the coronavirus isn't such a big threat anymore. Now the NYPD in order to identify suspects, is asking businesses to require customers to remove their super-protective COVID-19 masks when they enter the stores because robberies have become rampant in the Big Apple.

NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey spoke at a press conference last week saying that masks are making it possible for thieves to escape detection on video surveillance, according to local PIX 11.

Well, it's good to know heads have been removed from corresponding nether regions and people are realizing just how ridiculous masks are, and evidently have always been when it comes to coronavirus. All that masks accomplish is to give carte blanche to the bad guys.

"People are coming up to our businesses, sometimes with masks, sometimes masks, hoods and latex gloves, and they’re being allowed, they’re being buzzed in and allowed to enter the store and we have a robbery," Chief Maddrey said.

"We are asking the businesses to make this a condition of entry, that people when they come in, they show their face, they should identify themselves," the department chief continued.

Most businesses in the city wouldn't allow masked customers before the pandemic, Maddrey noted, because a lot of them steal stuff and walk right out the door, unabated. In fact, thieves were basically allowed to take up to $950 worth of merchandise without criminal charge. It was socialism at its finest.

"We need our businesses to be proactive and do their due diligence. We need to make sure people are identifying themselves," Maddrey said.

Mayor Eric Adams (D) bragged about how shootings have decreased by 17% last year, and murders fell 11% when compared to 2021. Unmentioned in the bragging was the fact that burglaries, robberies, felonious assaults, grand larceny, anti-Semitic and Asian attacks along with other criminal activity remained high, and thus an increase of such crimes climbed to 22% compared to 2021.

So yeah, there's that.

And something tells me that with the large influx of illegal aliens, crime is not coming down anytime soon.

Since Obama bash Matha's Vineyard has most COVID cases since April

The bad news: since Barack Obama's birthday bash, the town of Martha's Vineyard has seen more coronavirus cases since April. The good news: Obama is a Democrat so nobody cares nor will the legacy media report on it, therefore it's no big deal.

Obama's party had to be reduced from over 500 "friends" to a little less due to concerns over COVID-19. In fact, the Obama party was so concerned and preoccupied about the virus, that the guests "forgot" to wear masks. But never one to encourage bad behavior in others, Obama ordered his guests to not post photos of the party because it might send the message that masks are only for the "non sophisticated" peons who don't have the same freedoms and his special guests, many of whom flew in on their private carbon-belching jets [think John Kerry] to celebrate the birth of a man who divided our nation by skin color and political party.

The birdcage liner known as The New York Times called the event safe, certainly not a super spreader due to its "sophisticated, vaccinated" crowd.

So, as long as you are part of the sophisticated crowd, "experts" believe you don't need to give up your freedom to the government. And the "sophisticated crowd" includes all Left-wing demonstrators, Democratic governors and mayors, antifa rioters, BLM Marxists, and the cowardly Texas Democrats who fled the state. 

Somehow the virus is progressive enough to lay off those people so they can go about their business or attend Obama's 60th birthday party. Unfortunately, Pope Fauci couldn't make it, I believe.

But the "experts" who saw no problem with the gathering, didn't count on the Martha's Vineyard encountering the largest spike in infections in four months, with 74 positive test results in the week since Obama boogied. 

The media remains silent.

Meanwhile, the media is going after Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida claiming that he is killing people, in spite of the FACT that Florida, the second oldest state in the nation, comes in 26 in the country for deaths per capita while New Jersey and New York, Democratic-run states, come in 1st and 2nd respectively according to Statista.

In truth, based on what we know of the vaccine, Obama's party should be of no concern as the attendees were all vaccinated. But it's the blatant hypocrisy that should concern us and the fact that the Biden-Harris-Fauci-Obama-Jarrett-AOC administration would have us be masked up for eternity if we allow it.

Screw you all--we don't trust you and we shouldn't. You don't know what you're doing other than trying to grab more and more power over us and we've had enough of your nonsense.

CDC still hiding COVID data regarding mask reversal

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention [an oxymoron when it comes to COVID-19] issued new guidance that fully vaccinated people from the coronavirus should wear masks indoors in spite of the conflicting messages Pope Fauci had previously made public. 

If the vaccine protects us from the virus, then why should masks be worn? After all, if vaccinated people choose not to wear a mask and are willing to take the chance they might get reinfected with less chance of dying from coronavirus, then what is the problem?

Also, if you choose to take your chances with not getting vaccinated, that should be your right. And if you don't want your child getting the shot because they have a better chance of dying from the flu or suicide, that should be a parent's right, not a government mandate.

But the CDC is mandating a new guidance and refusing to show their work as to how they came to that conclusion. Their lack of clarity and obvious political inclinations as to how they base their decisions seems more likely to emanate from a totalitarian ideology than a scientific one. 

I had the jabs, I will not wear a mask because I cannot infect you and you cannot infect me. If you don't want the jabs, that's on you and I respect your decision even if I disagree with it. Why doesn't the government do the same?

And what's with Speaker Pelosi (D) with her cloth designer masks? The CDC says that cloth masks are basically useless, much like the Speaker herself. 

The idea that masks must be worn practically at all times is a deterrent for those who may have been weighing on whether to get vaccinated. What's the point if nothing changes?

"While the CDC issued their guidance yesterday at about 3 p.m., they have not yet released their scientific reports on the data that underlies their recommendation," New York City Health and Hospitals President and CEO Mitchell Katz said at a Wednesday press conference with Comrade Mayor Bill de Blasio, one of the top worst Democratic mayors of major US cities.

Supported the Sandinista cause

"I think we owe it to New Yorkers to very carefully, as you say, review that information and understand its implications," Katz added. "Our focus has to be on getting people vaccinated."

"We're assessing the information. What really is important is to assess the research behind it. Which is what our team is doing," de Blasio said when asked why the city is delaying any action to mandate mask-wearing for vaccinated folks. "We've got to make sure we understand the ramifications and what makes sense to do."

For de Blasio, it would be to resign and take up blow-painting with Hunter Biden.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, a Harvard graduate, explained that the reason for the CDC's reversal on indoor masking for vaccinated people is because "in rare occasions, some vaccinated people infected with the delta variant after vaccination may be contagious and pass the virus to others."

[In rate occasions sober people driving within the speed limit get into fatal accidents. Does that mean we should prevent people from driving altogether, or perhaps make a federal speed limit of 5 miles per hour to prevent deaths? Harvard has become a joke.] 

They "may be contagious," Walensky said, because "the amount of virus" in vaccinated people infected by the delta variant "is pretty similar to the amount of virus in unvaccinated people."

But what's the mortality rate? If the symptoms are mild and practically nobody dies, who gives a crap? Should we wear masks forever because, you know, the flu, the common cold, the Democrats?

"The vast majority of transmission is occurring through unvaccinated individuals," Walensky said Tuesday. But, she added, "we thought it was important for [vaccinated] people to understand that they could pass the disease onto someone else." 

Yes, someone who decided to not get vaccinated because they have the right not to put something into their body. Whatever happened to "my body, my choice?" It's only true for the left when it's convenient.

Lastly, want to fight the COVID crisis in the United States? Stop undiagnosed illegal aliens from coming into the country with their high percentage of the virus.

If the GOP can't win back both Houses, they are useless and we will deserve what we get.

If face-masks are to be worn by everyone, even those who have been completely vaccinated and children over the age of 2, who have a better chance of dying from a lightning strike at noon in Times Square, then all we can say of the creepy Texas Democrats who fled the state to avoid doing their job is that they are bigger hypocrites than a Dr. Fauci recommendation about face-masks and everything else he pontificates.

An aide to Speaker Nancy "Frenetic Hands" Pelosi (D-CA) tested positive for coronavirus after attending a "rooftop reception" with the idiots on the plane of whom three tested positive for the virus. As long as none of these idiots die, you gotta laugh at the irony, hypocrisy and yes, stupidity. 

They are stupid because they shared selfies of them whooping it up on the private jet they took to Washington, D.C. and showed the country that it's "masks for thee, but not for me." A symbolic middle finger, so to speak.

“Yesterday, a fully-vaccinated senior spokesperson in the Speaker’s Press Office tested positive for COVID after contact with members of the Texas state legislature last week,” the Speaker’s office said in a statement to media, per Fox News.

The statement added that the aide did not have contact with Speaker Pelosi following the event, which is fortunate for her as she is extremely old and fragile.

“This individual has had no contact with the Speaker since exposure. The entire Press Office is working remotely today with the exception of individuals who have had no exposure to the individual or have had a recent negative test,” the statement claimed. “Our office will continue to follow the guidance of the Office of Attending Physician closely.” 

Except when they don't.

On Sunday, just days after meeting with members of the Texas delegation, Vice President Kamala Hahahaharris visited Walter Reed Medical Center for what her spokesperson claimed was a “routine” medical appointment. But since Kamala wasn't maniacally laughing, the visit was more likely due to her fear of having also contracted the coronavirus, causing her laugh reflex to freeze up.

Faith in Father Fauci Finally Falls

"Hmm . . . where did I put my mask?"

It may be the end of an error, the American public, especially Republicans, putting trust in Dr. Tony Fauci from Brooklyn. His fan club has been reduced dramatically over the past year, according to a recent Trafalgar Group poll. 

Participants in the poll were asked whether their confidence in Saint Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), has increased or decreased over the past year, and of those surveyed, 42.2% said their trust in him "decreased." And of that group, 12.1% said their confidence simply "decreased," but 30.1% said it had "decreased significantly."

 Among science denying Democrats, only 20% said their confidence in Fauci decreased while 32.4% claimed it actually increased proving that the media is manipulating their inchoate brains. 

Republicans distrust in Fauci hit a whopping 66.1% and of these folks, 50.8% said their confidence decreased significantly.

The survey also found that the faith of Fauci in 34.7% of Democrats has remained unchanged, while only 13% of Republicans retained the same opinion of him that they had 12 months ago due to their more superior organic development compared to the Democrats.

Conducted between Sunday and Tuesday, the poll included 1,093 likely voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.96 percentage points, which is relatively low, meaning the poll was fairly accurate.

You older folks may recall that Fauci was involved in the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. He believed at the time that AIDS was an airborne virus and could be transmitted simply by being in close proximity to an infected person. 

A YouGov and Yahoo News COVID-19 Vaccination Survey done earlier in May also found Fauci’s approval ratings falling basically along party lines, with 54% of Democrats claiming they claimed Fauci is doing an “excellent” job and around 25% believing he is doing a “good” job. Remember, these are Democrats and everybody gets a trophy.

By contrast, only 5% of Republicans believe Fauci’s performance has been “excellent,” 12% believe it has been “good,” 19% believe it has been “fair,” and a staggering 55% said he has done a “poor” job and were not viewers of CNN where even Andrew Cuomo was praised even after removing the old folks from New York.

As the poll indicates, increasingly more people have questioned Fauci’s competence as the pandemic has dragged on and he seemingly continues to contradict himself, such as flip-flopping yet again on masks earlier this week. 

It shouldn't surprise anyone to learn that Fauci's missing mask was found in his nether regions where his head is often located.

She also faced blowback on Twitter, where racial justice advocates suggested that Lightfoot was likely using the policy to distract from her inability to handle questions of violence. “Lori Lightfoot presided over an enormous increase in homicides, almost all of them in African American or Latino communities, and she’s hoping these PR stunts get liberal America to give her a pass for failing to save people’s lives,” journalist Zaid Jilani pointed out.

Indeed, on the same day that the mayor’s office announced the policy favoring “black and brown” reporters, Lightfoot aides announced that “a compromise plan to make past police disciplinary records available to the public,” essentially turning down a request from Chicago’s racial justice activists to expand police transparency.

Local media reporters in Chicago are alleging that Democrat Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is selecting who gets to do one-on-one interviews with her based on the race of the interviewer.

NBC 5 political reporter Mary Ann Ahern made the initial allegation on Twitter, writing: “As ⁦ @chicagosmayor ⁩ reaches her two year midway point as mayor, her spokeswoman says Lightfoot is granting 1 on 1 interviews – only to Black or Brown journalists.”

Chicago PBS news anchor Paris Schultz responded: “I was told the same thing.”

“It is unclear when such a practice was enacted and if it only applies to local reporters, particularly after her MSNBC appearance with Stephanie Ruhle on Monday,” Fox News reported. “During her MSNBC interview, Lightfoot told Ruhle she would ‘encourage’ Chicago residents to continue wearing masks despite the new CDC guidance allowing those with the coronavirus vaccine to go without them.”

“I know for me personally, I’m going to continue to wear a mask in public and I’m going to encourage others to do so,” Lightfoot told Ruhle. “We’ve got to make sure that people are continuing to follow the public health guidance that has gotten us this far, and masks, I think, are a big and important part of that.”

Lightfoot said on Tuesday afternoon that her decision to continue to encourage people to wear masks was not based on distrust of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

“But I think their guidance last week regarding masks has people confused…We need clarification,” Lightfoot said. “We still have a long way to go to hit the critical mass (of vaccinations) or herd immunity. I don’t want people to have false confidence.”

“To say, ‘If you’re vaccinated, you don’t have to wear a mask,’ that’s great. But what about all of the other people who are out there that aren’t vaccinated?” Lightfoot added. “There’s no way to know that. So I think for the time being, most people are gonna continue to wear masks outside of their homes.”

Dem. with masters degrees in Education and Public Admin calls out vaccinated MD for not wearing a mask

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) has a BA degree in Russian studies, and two masters degrees, one in education the other in Public Administration, making him an expert in epidemiology, he evidently believes.

On Tuesday, Brown singled out Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), an actual medical doctor, for not wearing a patriotic face covering ostensibly designed to keep one safe from the evil Chinese virus and protect other from being killed by it as well.

Brown first asked about senators who don't wear face diapers, acknowledged that most of them are in lockstep with the Democratic Party, before mentioning Sen. Paul, an actual doctor.

"One of them that's an M.D., isn't, but he's kind of a lunatic," Brown inappropriately said during a Tuesday visit to a Columbus mass vaccination site.

He added: "He thinks he wants to be different but it doesn't serve the public interest."

No, Brown. It doesn't serve the Democrats' interest. They would have us wear masks until the farting cows come home, in spite of the fact that the vaccinations are effective, even according to the American Federation of Teachers controlled CDC. 

Brown, who is fully vaccinated, wore a mask during the entirety of his 45-minute event because he is the actual lunatic as is those who follow his baseless example. Brown said he wears a cloth face covering to "make sure everyone is safe and to set that tone," and that science is overrated anyway. 

It's not the first time Brown has verbally insulted Sen. Paul, [who; I remind you, has been vaccinated], for not wearing a mask. In February, after Paul had been vaccinated along with all the other senators of the Senate including the lunatic Brown, the latter asked that Paul "would show the respect to his colleagues to wear a mask when he's on the Senate floor walking around and speaking."

Paul's colleagues, as well as Brown's were also vaccinated, I remind you, when Brown made the lunatic statement.

Paul was the first U.S. Senator to publicly announce that he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus in March 2020.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said last week that fully vaccinated people could safely gather indoors with fully vaccinated people without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart.

Sen. Paul had a hot exchange in March with America's most beloved and exalted doctor [after Doctor Jill Biden, of course] Dr. Anthony "I Tawk Like Bernie" Fauci. Paul said that wearing a mask after vaccination or post-infection was merely "theater."

But Pope Fauci told Paul that masks are protective, even though he said at one time they weren't necessary, and should be used by those who are immunized [and cannot spread the virus nor contract, but it's patriotic].

Post-vaccination "breakthrough" cases and hospitalizations have occurred but are very rare. Only 9,245 "breakthrough" cases and 835 hospitalizations have been reported out of more than 95 million people who have been fully vaccinated in the U.S. as of April 26. That's safer than most of the medications advertised on television for minor rashes and constipation.

President Biden worried he'd "be in trouble" if he continued talking

"Where in G-d's name did I put my mask?"

Co-President Joe Biden told reporters who were shouting questions to him on Tuesday that "I'm gonna be in trouble if I keep answering" [their] questions. It isn't so different from asking a person in the middle stages of dementia for street directions to a local hospital while you stand there bleeding. They understand the severity of the problem and also understand the severity of their limits.

Biden was speaking about new federal health guidelines regarding mask-wearing for those vaccinated and unvaccinated. Reporters shouted their questions and he answered a couple of them, but he apparently realized he didn't have a Teleprompter or Co-President Kamala Harris to help him out, and the questions were getting harder and harder to address, he bailed on the reporters.

"I'm sorry," he said, after listening to questions about his own outdoor mask-wearing and a potential summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "This is the last question I'll take, and I'm really gonna be in trouble."

As President of the United States, it wasn't clear with whom he would be in trouble, but my best guesses would be: Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, Communist China or Valerie Jarrett. Pick one.

Since being elected as the leader of the free world, Biden has avoided the press like a high school's Homecoming Queen who was being incessantly phoned up by the school band's dorky kazoo player. 

Biden's success in the presidential election can be attributed to the fact that he stayed hidden from the public using the excuse that Covid was gonna get him. And now that he is fully vaccinated, nothing seems to have changed--he has put a lid on life.

While White House Press Secretary, the lovely ginger circle-backer Jen Psaki, has held daily press briefings, reporters have finally begun to feel the frustration for the administration's translucency over border issues and the lack of access to Biden. This was never the case with former President Trump. 

Au contraire, the Donald loved the camera and beating up on the press.

Biden's incoherent call for people who are fully vaccinated to continue to wear a mask when around others who have or haven't been vaccinated has no scientific basis as there is no data to support this call for CDC compliance. The masking guidelines is more a political-religion than an assuagement of the pandemic and merely serves to give the government a kind of narcissistic power over the people.

On one hand, Biden tells us to get vaccinated, while on the other hand he points out that even when we do, nothing will change. If it was up to him and his puppet master, we would be wearing masks until the cows come home and then for AOC to get rid of them as part of her Green New Deal.

Meanwhile, John Kerry is a traitor [allegedly] and will get away with it anyway.

I can't wait to hear what Biden, et al, will have to mumble tonight in his address to the nation.

Was Biden just kidding about wearing a mask?

You never know with a kidder like Joe. Was he being serious about wearing a mask for 100 days, or was he pulling the hairs on our legs? Did he mean it when he said that this is the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19? Does he really follow the science and are there times when he didn't? Is he as demented and confused as he seems to be, or is he just pretending?

Now that Biden is president he has shown America that if you just hang around in politics long enough, and play to the crowd and don't get caught with a tent in your pants, but even if you do [like with Tara Reade] you deny and walk away from the cameras, you too can become President.

Biden at "Half Mask"

And now that Joe is the head honcho, not wearing a mask is okay if you're on the correct side of the aisle and are going mask-less because you're "celebrating" a Democratic victory.

Joe Biden, his doctor wife Jill, and the family, took a photo op at the Lincoln Memorial, which is a federal site. Biden had mandated that MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL FEDERAL SITES, and he assured us that he means it and he isn't kidding.

So you'd think, hey, c'mon man, I bet Joe and his loved ones, like Hunter and Doctor Jill, wear masks at federal sites and I wouldn't even be surprised if Joe wears a mask even on the toilet because it's a federal toilet at the White House.

But you would be wrong.

On Wednesday, he and the Biden gang were photographed in violation of his own mandate. His press secretary, the illustrious and beautiful Jen Psaki, dismissed Fox News' WH correspondent Peter Douci's question about that little fact.

"He was celebrating an evening of a historic day," Psaki said Thursday. "I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time."

Bad answer. There is no bigger issue than COVID-19 right now, and the only exception might be something like: "Missiles heading toward the USA from China." So Psaki's excuse sounded like something Joe or Doctor Jill might have told her. to say.

Douci should have followed up with: "What's a bigger issue than COVID?"

Biden and his "Cool Aviator" look

Biden implored Americans to "mask up" in a tweet that announced his executive order. "Wearing masks isn't a partisan issue," he tweeted. "It's a patriotic act that can save countless lives."

Actually, there's apparently no clear proof of that claim, but hey, 'follow the science' sounds like a great plan.

Several hours before Biden announced his executive order, he mush-mouthed his Inaugural Address, in which he muttered that his administration would "lead not merely by the example of our power, but by the power of our example."

Judging from his words, we can all feel comfortable not wearing masks at important photo ops and left-wing riots, but not if we're Republicans [aka White supremacists, neo-Nazis].

Alyssa Milano claims masks will protect you more than an AR-15

If Capote was correct, Alyssa Milano must be an incredibly good actor because she is the poster child for Stupid. But of course, she might be an exception to the better actor rule and is simply one of the stupidest actors without acting talent. 

Milano tried to persuade "anti-maskers" to wear masks to guard against COVID-19 in spite of the fact that cloth masks are more of a fashion statement than a medical prophylactic measure. She claims that cloth offers more protection than AR-15s.

The anti Second Amendment conservative-hating actress tweeted:

"Anti-maskers are the same people who think they need an AR-15 for 'protection,'" 

"LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK: A MASK WILL PROTECT YOU *MORE* THAN AN AR-15 WILL."

She mixes the idea of protection from a virus with protection from those who would do violence because she is stupid. The analogy is a non sequitur because the types of protection being compared, are not comparable and she is not able to see the disconnect.

So if you want protection from coronavirus, perhaps masks can help somewhat, or at least give one the illusion they can. AR-15s and firearms in general are not actually meant to protect us from viruses or even the common cold. And just like some masks are better than others for protection from viruses, some firearms offer more protection against those who would do us harm.

A Colt 1911 with its 45 caliber slug has great stopping power, especially at close range, but it isn't great at distances over 55 yards. An AR-15 firing a 223 Remington round or 5.56 x 45 NATO round, is good up to around 600 yards and holds a lot more rounds than the Colt 1911. 

Of course, neither weapon is useful against coronavirus, but neither is Alyssa Milano's apples and oranges argument.

"Uh, they could theoretically both protect you against different things," one Twitter user wrote. "Is there a reason you think these two things are mutually exclusive? Or related in any logical way at all?"

Another Twitter user said, "I guess you can strangle bad guys with your mask."

But the best comment as I see it was from on person challenging her to a duel writing, "I get an AR-15 and she gets a mask."

Truman Capote really had incredible insight.

Alyssa Moron-o tweets about wearing masks--shows us hers

Dr. Fauci, should I wear a mask or will it kill me? Tell us what to do because we're children and don't know better.

The "experts" first said that we should not wear masks because it isn't appropriate. Then they told us to wear a mask because if you don't, you just want to kill Grandma and Grandpa. Do they even know what they're talking about?

So companies that made cars and widgets restructured and made masks and ventilators. It turns out that ventilators didn't do much to save lives as up to 80 percent of people on a ventilator died anyway.

Now let's consider the masks.

The Chinese Communist Wuhan coronavirus is generally tiny enough to get through most masks and into your lungs, and most people aren't wearing them tight enough on their face anyway. If you're sick, whether you're symptomatic or not, then yes, it keeps your own virus-laden breath from infecting people close by, but even physically distancing yourself seems to be effective.

Let's be real, there are a lot of questions about masks and their viability and the last person I would want to seek council from is a leftist activist actress with no medical expertise whatsoever.

Alyssa Milano, a leftist activist mediocre actress has encouraged her leftist fans to wear masks. Her mask looks as useful as flaming parachute and can double as a sieve. [See the photo above.]

Mayor de Blasio still hasn't spoken to Health Commissioner about '2 rats' asses'

New York City Democrat Mayor, Comrade Bill de Blasio [aka Warren Wilhelm] claims that he hasn’t spoken to  the city's Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot for several of days since making the remark that she doesn't "give two rats' asses about your cops" after they requested 500 thousand protective face masks to deal with the COVID-19 crisis in the city.

De Blasio claims he will speak with her over the weekend, but he often says one thing and does another, like the time he violated his own rule that folks should stay home unless they absolutely must go out, and then he went from Manhattan to his Brooklyn gym and also had gone to Prospect Park in Brooklyn at a later date for a walk with his wife.

Barbot's words about the NYPD are disgusting and inexcusable and with an attitude like hers, one cannot justify why she should remain in her position.  The NYPD have been and continue to be first responders directly involved with the public and among those most at risk. As of just a few days prior to this post, there have been 31 NYPD deaths from Covid-19. 

Barbot's insensitivity should be rewarded with a pink slip but de Blasio was never a big fan of the police so it's likely he will merely give her a symbolic slap on the wrist along with a wink and a nod.

The NYPD requested the 500 thousand masks back in March but Barbot said she could only offer 50 thousand, one tenth of what they needed. This was when she made her now infamous "I don't give two rats' asses" statement about "your cops, I need them for others," to Terence Monahan, NYPD Chief of Department.

The department eventually got 500,000 masks from the Department of Health’s stash after appealing to City Hall, no thanks to Barbot.

The cop unions are calling for her firing. Pat Lynch of the Police Benevolent Association also suggests she has to “look in the eye of every police family who lost a hero to this virus. Look them in the eye and tell them they aren’t worth a rat’s ass,” he said.

Barbot owes every one of the 55,000 cops and the families and loved ones of those who died from COVID-19 a public apology . . . and then she should be handed her walking papers.

If de Blasio can go days without talking to Dr. Barbot during the pandemic, how essential can she be?

NYC health head re: NYPD mask plea: 'I don't give 2 rats' asses about your cops'

The New York Police Department requested half a million surgical masks to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. But the city's health commissioner, Dr Oxiris Barbot's response to their request to the high ranking police official was "I don't give two rats' asses about your cops."

Barbot made the disgusting and heartless remark in a phone conversation in late March to NYPD Chief Terence Monahan. She said that she could only provide them with 50,000 masks, one-tenth of what they needed. 

“I don’t give two rats’ asses about your cops,” Barbot said, in spite of the increased numbers of cops calling out sick with COVID-19 symptoms,  “I need them for others.”

There have been 5,490 Chinese Communist Wuhan Coronavirus cases among the 55,000 cops and civilians on the force. Of these, 41 have died, according to Wednesday night figures.

As it turns out, it was learned that the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene had a huge number of masks, ventilators and other equipment stored in a New Jersey warehouse, so the request could have been fulfilled and possibly made a difference in the number of NYPD deaths.

The department appealed to City Hall, which finally arranged for the NYPD to get 250,000 surgical masks, sources said.

The federal Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency also learned about the situation, leading FEMA to supply the NYPD with Tyvek suits and disinfectant. So, while the city and state failed the NYPD, the Trump administration came through, rats' asses be damned.

A source who was present during a tabletop exercise at the city Office of Emergency Management headquarters in Brooklyn in March recalled witnessing a “very tense moment” when Monahan complained to Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio in front of Barbot about the NYPD’s need for personal protective equipment, saying, “For weeks, we haven’t gotten an answer.”

Comrade De Blasio, who was seated between Monahan and Barbot, asked her, “Oxiris what is he talking about?” a source told the New York Post.

When Monahan said the gear was vital to keeping cops safe, de Blasio said, “You definitely need it,” and told Barbot, “Oxiris, you’re going to fix this right now,” the source said.

Last week, Dr. Barbot was noticeably absent from the useless coronavirus daily briefings when Comrade de Blasio announced that the city’s public hospital system would oversee a major testing and tracing program, even though the DOH has previously run similar programs.

De Blasio praised NYC Health and Hospitals Dr. Mitchell Katz.  “When you have an inspired operational leader, you know, pass the ball to them is my attitude.”

The incompetent de Blasio appointed Barbot as the NYC health commissioner in 2018 following the resignation of Dr. Mary Bassett, during an investigation into the DOH's failure to alert federal officials to elevated levels of lead in the blood of children living in city housing projects. She has now gone on to work at Harvard to fail there.

DOH press secretary Patrick Gallahue tried to defend the vulgar remarks and disposition of Barbot.

“During the height of COVID, while our hospitals were battling to keep patients alive, there was a heated exchange between the two [Barbot and Monahan] where things were said out of frustration but no harm was wished on anyone,” Gallahue said, apparently able to read Barbot's mind. He added that Barbot "apologized for her contribution to the exchange."

Contribution to the exchange? That's a politically correct way of saying 'for her hateful, mean-spirited bile.'

Newsom refuses records request on 'murky' $1 billion mask deal with Communist China

Gov. Gavin "Ken Doll" Newsom, the crummy Democrat from California, refuses to allow a public records request from the Los Angeles Times as the paper seeks details on a protective mask deal from a Chinese car manufacturing company. The deal for the masks tips the scales at nearly $1 billion.

Newsom's office has been criticized over lack of transparency into the taxpayer funded contract for weeks and the latest refusal will likely raise even more suspicions. 

The paper reported that his office has insisted that disclosure into the deal with BYD, which stands for Build Your Dreams, could jeopardize the mask delivery and that might upset the Chinese Communists who are Chinese capitalists when it comes to lining their own pockets.

“Publishing the agreement now — before performance under the contract is complete — would introduce substantial and unnecessary risk to the State’s ability to secure necessary supplies,” Ryan Gronsky, an attorney with the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, wrote to the Times. Because it isn't as if Honeywell or 3M could make U.S. made masks here at home.

Newsom appeared on far-left MSNBC's Rachel Maddow show last month and said that Sacramento had signed a deal to purchase 200 million masks monthly, which was considered to be a big win for the state amid the scramble worldwide for protective gear and more locally, for toilet paper.

“As a nation-state, with the capacity to write a check for hundreds of millions, no billions, of dollars [of other people's money], we’re in a position to do something bold and big,” Newsom told reporters the next day.

State Assemblyman Richard Bloom (D), a budget committee member, said last month details of the BYD deal “are very murky.”

The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services told the paper that the contract does not need to be made public, in spite of the fact that it's not his money but the people in his state that he's spending and they have the right to know where it's going.

A statement said that the agency determined that “all responsive records are exempt from disclosure, including exemptions for records reflecting attorney work product, attorney-client privileged information, or other information exempt from disclosure under federal or state law.”

And with that, Newsom symbolically flipped the bird to all of California and to those in the majority who voted for him, they richly deserved it.

Trump campaign blasted after report claims it considered making 'MAGA' masks

The Trump campaign was inundated with criticism over the week after it was discovered that it was apparently thinking about ordering coronavirus masks labeled:  'Make America Great Again." 

The Wall Street Journal reported that the campaign considered ordering the masks to hand out in exchange for donations. That gives the campaign a somewhat negative look. 

It's like, "If you give us a donation for President Trump's reelection, you get a coronavirus mask. If you don't, you get the Chinese Communist Wuhan Coronavirus."

Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh said: “We have data that shows all Americans, seniors included, can see the president’s leadership on the coronavirus." He added that "[w]hen America begins its comeback, voters will respond.”

Brian Karem, a Playboy correspondent along with others pointed to a "Saturday Night Live" skit that had joked about the administration pushing "Make America Great Again" masks. "Is @realDonaldTrump trolling @nbcsnl for campaign ideas?" he wrote Saturday on Twitter.

While some say Trump has misplaced priorities regarding these masks while not providing enough masks for the country in the pandemic, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany defended the Trump administration's response in the first White House press conference in over a year. She pointed out that millions of masks were delivered to the country during the pandemic.

"The fact that, in the average year, the healthcare industry uses 25 million N95 masks, and we have delivered in this short time 75 million N95 masks -- more than three times what the healthcare sector uses in a year -- that’s extraordinary," she said.

"Seems like bad political strategy to slap your logo on an item that reminds voters you oversaw the largest mass casualty event in modern history," pollster Matt McDermott tweeted.

But leftists like McDermott would blame Trump for the casualties if a meteor struck the United States and killed millions.
