Arad missile strike wounds more than 100 civiilians, at least four serious including 5-year-old

The Israel Defense Forces have acknowledged that their Air Force is now investigating a grave and troubling failure: why sophisticated air defenses did not intercept an Iranian ballistic missile that struck the southern city of Arad. This lapse, one must note, came mere hours after another missile evaded interception and hit Dimona, marking two successive breaches in Israel's multilayered shield within the space of two hours. This is currently being investigated.

On Saturday evening, an Iranian missile slammed into Arad, wounding dozens of civilians and forcing authorities to declare a mass casualty incident. Emergency services evacuated 37 people from the impact site alone, among them four in serious condition, including a five-year-old girl, and twelve others in moderate condition. Further casualties emerged with injuries of varying severity. Helicopters and substantial rescue forces rushed to the scene to extract the wounded and provide urgent treatment.

Most recent reports say that as many as 100 Israeli civilians have been injured.

Magen David Adom Director-General Eli Bin told Channel 12 News: “Four seriously wounded in two destruction sites, there are people trapped. We requested assistance from the Home Front Command.”

Video footage from the strike revealed widespread devastation across several buildings, with nine structures reported damaged. Rescue teams pressed on with searches for those still trapped beneath the rubble.

The IDF confirmed that the Air Force is probing the reasons behind the failure to intercept the missile aimed at Arad. This incident represented the second such breakdown in quick succession, following the earlier direct hit in Dimona.

Simultaneously, Iran unleashed missiles toward northern Israel. Sirens blared twice across the region, stretching from the Golan Heights to Haifa. In that sector, all incoming projectiles were either intercepted or landed harmlessly in open areas.

Earlier that same Saturday evening, a separate barrage had targeted Dimona and nearby communities, injuring 31 people. Authorities located twelve impact sites throughout the city, including one where a building collapsed entirely. Among the wounded were a ten-year-old boy in serious condition and a woman of about forty in moderate condition with shrapnel injuries, while the remainder suffered light wounds.

The military first assessed the Dimona strike as involving cluster munitions, only to correct the record later: it was a direct impact from a conventional ballistic missile. The IDF has stated that it is likewise examining why that missile, too, was not intercepted.

These are not mere technical oversights. They expose a momentary, yet profound, vulnerability at the very moment when Iran has demonstrated its capacity to penetrate defenses and strike civilian areas in both the south and the north. The consequences, as ever in such conflicts, fall heaviest on the innocent: children maimed, families shattered, homes reduced to debris. One is left to wonder how long such failures can be explained away before the strategic equation shifts in ways no one wishes to contemplate.

On at least one positive note, the number of missiles Iran has been launching has significantly decreased over the past week. It seem as if Iran is rationing missile launches.

Report: Americans injured by militants in Iraqi base attack

Americans and Iraqi security forces were injured in an attack on Iraqi's Ain al-Asad air base Saturday according to a report.

A US official who demanded anonymity said the Americans who were injured only suffered minor injuries, but one of the Iraqi security forces was reported to be seriously wounded, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The initial reports said the ballistic missiles hit the base but there is an ongoing assessment to determine whether it was actually a rocket attack, rather than a guided missile offensive, the official said.

“Two security sources in Iraq and one government source said the base was hit by multiple rockets fired from inside Iraq,” The Jerusalem Post’s report says. “A second US official said the attack was carried out by militants from inside Iraq.”

According to US military data, there have been to date, 58 strikes by drones and rockets by Iran-supported militants. Theses same militants have also attacked American forces in Syria no less than 83 times concurrent to the Iraq attacks.

According to The Jerusalem Post, those militants are seeking a way to “impose a cost” on America for its support of Israel in the fight against Hamas, which is backed by Iran.

And while it appears the Biden administration is fully committed to supporting the Jewish State, don't necessarily count on that support in the future if the political winds change. Biden has no other ideology other than what's good for the Bidens.

Iran-sponsored militants launch rockets on 2nd US military base in Syria after Biden's "precision airstrikes"

Iran-backed military style jihadis launched a second rocket attack on a U.S. base in Syria on Friday in a retaliatory exchange after President Biden's handler [whoever that is] ordered not very  “precision airstrikes” on their positions. 

Three missiles narrowly missed a US base in northeast Syria  on Friday morning, with two falling in the nearby Al-Omar oil field and another striking a luckless civilian house, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

No casualties were reported from the strike but three of the wounded serving as part of a coalition to beat back ISIS militia scumcrumpets had to be medivaced to Iraq, according to the Pentagon.

The missile attack occurred hours after one of Biden's handlers ordered US Central Command to launch “precision airstrikes” from F-15 fighter jets on groups linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, killing at least 11 and thus scrambling 731 brown-eyed virgins to service the dead in Jannah.

Biden allegedly had airstrikes ordered after an Iranian suicide drone killed a US contractor and injured five US military service members and another contractor at a coalition base near al-Hasakah.

Woke Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed the airstrikes had targeted the IRGC, which the US designates as a terrorist group mainly because they are. He also said the unmanned drone was of Iranian origin.

“As President Biden has made clear, we will take all necessary measures to defend our people and will always respond at a time and place of our choosing,” Austin said, obviously covering for the fact that Biden makes nothing clear. “No group will strike our troops with impunity.” [With the exception of those terrorists who killed 13 Americans during the fustercluck known as the Afghanistan withdrawal.]

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Friday the US airstrikes had killed 11 terrorists, including six confirmed pro-Iran militants and two Syrians.

The woke and useless White House national security spokesman John Kirby on MSNBC called the Iran-backed missiles “completely ineffective” and noted that no US personnel were harmed.

“It is not uncommon, when we take a retaliatory strike like this, for them to answer right back with some ineffective rocket fire — and these were largely, completely ineffective,” Kirby said. “Nobody was hurt, no U.S. casualties at all.”

US Central Command General Michael Kurilla promised further action if necessary.

“We are postured for scalable options in the face of any additional Iranian attacks,” he said in a statement.

Kurilla informed Congress on Thursday that since January 2021 Iran has been behind at least 78 attacks on US positions in Syria.

And still they enrich uranium while we do nothing to stop them.

“Iran’s vast and deeply resourced proxy forces spread instability throughout the region and threaten our regional partners,” Kurilla told members of the House Armed Services Committee.Groups linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were behind Friday’s attack.

And while war seems like it could be on the horizon, we have a President who couldn't run a lemonade stand, much less a country; a Vice President who sounds like she's perpetually drunk or plain stupid and confused; and a military more concerned with transgender and gay issues than doing what it's intended to do.

North Korea fired missiles toward South Korea who fired their own back at 'em

North Korea fired about a dozen missiles toward South Korea on Wednesday, one of which landed near the SoKo sea border. 

In response to the threat, South Korea launched its own "test" missiles.

The incident comes just hours after the hermit nation threatened to use nuclear weapons to have South Korea and the U.S. "pay the most horrible price in history," not counting Biden's Inflation Reduction Act. The catalyst for Kim Jong Un's rhetoric comes from the ongoing South Korean-U.S. military drills that the fat man views as an invasion rehearsal.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said at least one of the missiles launched by North Korea landed less than 40 miles from the South Korean city of Sokcho on the east coast and 104 miles from Ulleung, where air raid warnings had sounded.

"We heard the siren at around 8:55 am and all of us in the building went down to the evacuation place in the basement," an Ulleung county official told Reuters. "We stayed there until we came upstairs at around 9:15 after hearing that the projectile fell into the high seas."

According to SoKo's Joint Chiefs of Staff, President Yoon Suk-yeol ordered a "swift response" to NoKo's latest threat.

Kim has demanded the U.S. and South Korea end large-scale military exercises around the peninsula because it evidently gives him the willies.

This was the closest a North Korean ballistic missile had landed near South Korean waters and things appear to be heating up between the two countries.

"Our military can never tolerate this kind of North Korea's provocative act, and will strictly and firmly respond under close South Korea-U.S. cooperation," South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a news release.

The U.S. and South Korea began one of their largest combined military air drills on Monday, called Vigilant Storm, with hundreds of warplanes from both countries staging mock attacks 24 hours per day. This may be seen by Kim as a threat to his dictatorship and he reacted in a bellicose response.

President Biden spoke to our own Joint Chiefs of Staff on the situation saying, "I, uh, my son Beau died fighting the North Korean commies with Corn Pop by his side. Who?"

North Korea has already test-fired a record number of missiles this year. The country has said a recent barrage of launches was in response to the military drills as Kim worries about his future.

NoKo threatens top UN body following emergency meeting

North Korea warned the UN Security Council that if they continued criticizing their missile program, they just might get mad--and you don't want to see them get mad. Although the threats were unspecified, their "Leader for Life" Kim Jong-Un [aka "Rocket Man"] told his delegates to tell the UN people, that he has been working out and is nobody to mess with.

The emergency meeting was held behind closed doors of the top UN body on Friday. The French circulated a proposed statement expressing concern over the electricity-shy nation's missile launches and calls on it to fully implement resolutions by the council to ban its ballistic missile tests.

Jo Choi Su, a senior North Korean Foreign Ministry official stood up, grabbed his crotch, rolled his shoulders and in his best Soprano's voice warned the UN council that it "had better think what consequences it will bring in the future in case it tries to encroach upon the sovereignty" of North Korea.

Jo, who gets angry if you call him Su, also accused the UN body of a "double-dealing standard" because it doesn't treat the U.S. and its allies like they treat the poor North Koreans.

North Korea resumed its missile tests this month after a six-month hiatus. They launched a newly developed missile that has nuclear capabilities and puts the U.S., and South Korea, key allies, within striking distance and this has President Biden thinking, "Where did I leave my mask?"

Kim Jong Un still offered conditional talks with South Korea, in what some self-described experts call an attempt to pressure Seoul to persuade Washington to relax crippling economic sanctions on it as the public in the north is getting tired of eating their main vegetable we call grass.

There are multiple UN Security Council resolutions which ban North Korea from engaging in ballistic missile activities, as they clearly are attempting to mount nuclear weapons on their ballistic missiles. They pretend the reason they continue to flaunt the resolutions is because they say it's meant to cope with the U.S. military threats, in spite of the absence of any military threats by the U.S.

Despite recent missile launches, North Korea maintains a 2018 self-imposed moratorium on a long-range missile directly threatening the American homeland, a sign that it wants to keep the chance alive for future diplomacy with the U.S., and if they just bide their time a little longer, President Biden will make them a deal and Hunter will be the go-between, or bagman, as it were.

U.S. officials have urged North Korea to return to talks without preconditions, but the North has argued it won’t do so unless the Americans drop their “hostile policy,” in an apparent reference to the sanctions and regular military drills between Washington and Seoul.

Trump: US will beat China and Russia with 'super duper missile'

Let's not pretend that President Trump is boring and not enormously entertaining. His simple verbiage and delivery of his lines usually leaves no chance for misinterpretation, and you have to admit, he can often be compared to a standup comedian. 

But sometimes you have to guess what Trump means because he often speaks in New York shorthand, which being a native New Yorker, I generally understand.

While unveiling the flag for his new Space Force in the Oval Office in the White House, President Trump has said the United States will beat out military rivals including Russia and China with “'super duper missile.”

A super duper missile.

“We have no choice, we have to do it with the adversaries we have out there. We have, I call it the super duper missile and I heard the other night [it’s] 17 times faster than what they have right now,” Trump said on Friday.

“That’s right,” said Trump’s defense secretary, Mark Esper, standing to his right.

“You take the fastest missile we have right now,” Trump said. “You heard Russia has five times and China’s working on five or six times, we have one 17 times and it’s just got the go-ahead.”

What? We have 17 times what?

The DOD said in March it had successfully tested an unarmed hypersonic missile, a weapon that could potentially overwhelm other missile defense systems, so Trump must be talking about our missile being able to go 17 times faster than sound. That's often referred to as "super duper." 

But can it really go that fast?

According to the Pentagon, the test was successfully performed in Hawaii. The missile flew at hypersonic speeds [which is over five times the speed of sound] to a designated impact point.

Super Duper Missile

Hypersonic weapons can take missile and nuclear warfare to a new and more threatening level. They can go much faster [at super duper speeds] than current ballistic and cruise missiles, fly at different altitudes and have the maneuverability that makes them difficult to track and target with current missile defense systems.

Both Russia and China are developing similar military capabilities as they seek to field the technology and erode America’s military dominance.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed Russian Avangard missiles [named after a powerful Russian deodorant] can “travel at up to 20 times the speed of sound, like a ‘meteorite’ or a ‘fireball,’” according Bloomberg.

“Not a single country possesses hypersonic weapons, let alone continental-range hypersonic weapons,” Putin reportedly told the Russian military in December. “They’re trying to catch up with us," adding, "our missiles are super."

Perhaps, Vladimir, but ours are super duper. Put that in your pooper scooper.

Airstrikes on Iranian-backed terror groups kill 18

The Associated Press reported that unidentified warplanes targeted an arms depot overnight along with Iranian-backed militia posts in eastern Syria near the Iraqi border. At least 18 fighters were killed, according to Syrian opposition activists.

The strikes come amid increasing tensions in the region and the crisis between Iran and the U.S. in the wake of the collapsing nuclear deal between Tehran and global powers.

An official with an Iranian-backed militia in Iraq blamed Israel for the airstrikes that hit in the eastern Syrian town of Boukamal. There was no immediate comment from Israel but let's face it, Iran is to Israel as the mainstream media is to Trump.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last month that Iran has no immunity anywhere adding that the Israeli military “will act — and currently are acting — against them.”

According to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the airstrikes began late on Sunday and continued after midnight, killing 18 Iranian and pro-Iranian fighters and also causing extensive damage.

Another local activist collective in eastern Syria however, claimed the death toll to be 21 jihadis and 36 wounded and said the strikes targeted positions held by Iranian militias and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces, which is comprised mostly of Iran-backed Shi'ite Muslim militias. They did not specify who the dead and wounded were.

Naturally, an anonymous Syria-based official for the Iraqi militia claimed that Israel was behind the attack, adding that four missiles fired by warplanes hit a post manned by Iranian gunmen and members of Lebanon’s Hezbollah group. He claimed that there were no Iraqi casualties in the strike which hit about 2 miles from the Iraq border.

The Israeli military remained mum on the airstrike but said rockets launched from Syria on Monday fell short and did not land in Israel. The military said the rockets were launched from the outskirts of Damascus by Shi'ite militants operating under the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The military said it holds the Syrian government responsible for the attempted attack.

And so it goes.

Israel sees Iran as its main threat and allegedly struck Iran-linked targets in a pre-emptive self-defense strategy hitting targets as far away as Iraq. Israel has also struck Iranian targets in Lebanon and Syria.

Also Monday, Lebanon’s Hezbollah said it shot down an Israeli drone over southern Lebanon, shortly after it crossed from Israel amid rising tensions along the border between the two countries in recent weeks. [The plastic drone pilot is believed to have parachuted to safety.]

A Hezbollah statement said the drone was downed with “suitable weapons” over the village of Ramieh and that the militants now have it and are playing with it. The statement did not elaborate further.

The IDF said a “drone on a routine mission in northern Israel fell,” without elaborating on what it was doing nor how it was downed. It said the drone was “simple” and that there was no risk of a breach of information if it fell into enemy hands. 

Last month, Hezbollah leader Sayaad Hassan Nasrallah said his anti-Semitic group would confront and shoot down any Israeli drones that enter Lebanese airspace, raising the potential for conflict amid heightened tensions.

Nasrallah spoke after authorities said one alleged Israeli drone crashed in a Hezbollah stronghold in southern Beirut, landing on the roof of a building that houses Hezbollah’s media office, and another exploded and crashed in a plot behind the building, causing material damage.

Last week, Israel and Hezbollah fired upon each other for the first time in years. Hezbollah started by launching anti-tank missiles at an Israeli armored vehicle near the border, causing no casualties. Israel retaliated with artillery fire into southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah said last week’s missile strike was in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike near Damascus last month that killed two terrorists. Israel said the attack thwarted an Iranian-arranged drone attack squad. Days after the airstrike, Hezbollah said two Israeli attack drones crash-landed in Beirut.

And so it goes.

Rocket Man launches 2 short range missiles: flips off POTUS

Kim Jong-un launched a pair of short range missiles in a show of defiance to President Trump and all he tweets for.

South Korean military leaders say the surprise launch took place in the Wonsan region in east of the rogue state.

Both missiles travelled approximately 270 miles before falling into the Sea of Japan, reports from North Korea say.

It is the first missile test reported since President Trump and the chubby NoKo leader met at the demilitarised zone (DMZ) between the two Koreas at the end of June, shook hands and smiled at each other like old friends.

The White House, Pentagon and US State Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment because they were probably slightly embarrassed over Kim's open defiance.

However, the joint chiefs said South Korean and US militaries were reportedly analyzing details of the launches.

A US defense official said the secret launch appears to be similar to the recent May 2019 launch where two short range missiles were also fired off.

"North Korea is clearly upset that the US and South Korea are conducting joint military exercises," Harry Kazianis of Washington's Center for the National Interest explained.

"We should not be shocked by this move and, in fact, we should have seen it coming."

Then why didn't we see it coming? And why didn't Kazianis warn us of the probable missile launchings? Who exactly is Harry Kazianis really working for? And what about Trump?

Pyongyang restarted missile testing following a moratorium of over a year, as negotiations with President Trump over disarmament and denuclearization stalled.

North Korea's most recent test was in May when a pair of missiles timed precisely 9 minutes before and 9 minutes after a US test of a nuclear Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

In a brazen taunt, the corpulent dictator Kim watched the firing of the weapon at North Korea's Academy of Defence Science.

And issuing a chilling warning, Kim said the test "serves as an event of very weighty significance in increasing the combat power of the People's Army," state media reported. Kim should never use the word "weighty."

North Korea warned the US it faces "undesired consequences" if it doesn't meet its demands in nuclear talks by the end of the year.

Yes, we face the undesired consequences of having to destroy North Korea if they test us enough,

Kim's regime is demanding the Trump administration show more flexibility - or else it will go back on its promise to scrap its deadly nuclear arsenal, a promise they never intended to keep.

Pyongyang says it will only ditch its weapons program if the US agrees to scrap crippling economic sanctions on the country. Of course, Kim is lying--if he gives up his nuclear weapons program, he might as well give up his dictatorship and put a gun to his head. Kim has made similar promises to other naive presidents such as Bill "It's Just a Cigar" Clinton and GW Bush.

In a chilling threat, North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui said in Korean: "Changing paths is not a privilege that only the United States has - but it could be our own choice if we make up our mind."

She added wantonly: "If the United States fails to reestablish its position within the timeline we gave, it will see truly undesired consequences."

On April 21, 2018, merely one day after Adolf Hitler's birthday, Kim Jong-un said the hermit nation was suspending long-range nuclear missile tests and shutting its test sites. He lied as he always does.

Trump: "Kim likes me and I like him."

At the Singapore summit on June 11, 2018, just 108 years after the birth of Jacques Cousteau, Trump and Kim agreed to start the denuclearization "very quickly." A very imprecise Trump-esque timeline, but at least he didn't hold Kim and himself to "very, very quickly."

"Ze water ees deep"

The US President said the meeting had gone "better than anyone could have expected," but a few of us were expecting it to go better.

"We are going to sign this historic agreement," said Kim. "The world will see a major change," he lied.

In the agreement, Kim overtly committed to "complete denuclearization of Korean Peninsula," as he covertly flipped the U.S. the North Korean "bird."

However, despite the pledge, the North Koreans have never halted their nuclear activities, the UN's nuclear watchdog said.

The Pentagon believes North Korea has about 200 missile launchers hidden within the country and these can fire short- and medium-range rockets.

The most likely target of such a missile launch would be South Korea, Japan, Australia and possibly US territories in the Pacific Ocean.

Revised estimates suggest the total number of missiles the rogue state has is believed to be between 13 and 21. And the regime is estimated to have at least four nuclear warheads.

Should North Korea attempt to strike any of these targets, the little country will be able to glow in the dark.

Israel building far reaching missiles just in case

The Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) is developing "offensive missiles" to combat the offensive Middle East nations that surround them if it comes to that point. These weapons "can reach anywhere in the area and any target," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu [aka: Bibi] said, after visiting the IAI and was updated by their latest innovations and developments.

“IAI knows how to reach anywhere for the benefit of the people of Israel. Decide and we will go anywhere we like. The sky is the limit,” IAI Chairman Harel Locker said during Netanyahu's tour of the facility.

Locker, IAI CEO Nimrod Sheffer and other senior officials presented the prime minister with ways to “strengthen IAI and benefit the national security of the State of Israel,” a statement by Netanyahu’s office said.

Bibi praised the IAI as “an accumulation of very talented minds and people here who are developing the cutting edge of the defense of the State of Israel, from micro-satellites that we will launch into space to missiles … Space is a huge sphere that the State of Israel is entering.”

Maybe they can team up with the U.S. Space Force.

“This is the offensive power of the State of Israel which is very important for us in all sectors. They are developing weapons systems here with special capabilities that no other country has,” he said.

Locker told Netanyahu that he has “seen and heard here a little of our abilities. This is the realization of the Jewish genius to its fullest.”

The State of Israel, as you probably know, is a tiny nation surrounded by Islamic nations that want to see it destroyed and every last Jew killed. You simply cannot sit back and allow that to happen if you're an Israeli, and I'm glad to see they are not.

Oops: North Korea is at it again

A new satellite image on Monday showed that President Trump has a lot more work to do with North Korea. The image showed an upgrade in NoKo's ballistic missile program at 16 secret facilities.

So nothing has changed--the Hermit Kingdom of the smiling corpulent dictator has tried to pull a fast one, as they are historically wont to do.

The Daily Beast reported that "The development suggests North Korea's promise to shut down one major test site was an attempted deception." [No kidding. I said the same thing about Hamas and their make-believe cease fire.]

"North Korea's decommissioning of the Sohae satellite launch facility, while gaining much media attention, obscures the military threat to U.S. forces and South Korea from this and other undeclared ballistic missile bases," the Center for Strategic and International Studies stated.

It's believed this satellite discovery relates to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo pulling out of a high-level negotiation with North Korea's Kim Yong Chol last week.

But this is how North Korea rolls. They say they're going to disarm to stall for time while working on their nuclear program. Kim has lied to the three presidents that preceded Trump and now he lied again. They have no plans at all to disarm.

Now that Trump met with Kim at their summit, North Korean have a bigger stake in developing their nuclear and missile capabilities because that's all that stands between them and the Western allies and a possible coup. Trump's summit and his schmoozing legitimized the Kim regime, a horrible, tyrannical dictatorship, and gave him a seat at the grownup table.

I know Trump likes to negotiate like buddies over a beer, [although he doesn't drink] but he should have never labeled him a moderate, and praise him as a reformer. It has come back around.

I believe it was a mistake . . . unless he has some grand plan that he's keeping under wraps. But I don't think he does.

Australian man accused of brokering NoKo missile sales

Australian police arrested a Sydney man who is accused of brokering weapons components to the North Koreans, some of which includes components used in ballistic missiles.

The suspect is a 59-year-old naturalized Australian citizen who was born in South Korea but evidently has ties to the North.

Neil Gaughan, Australian Federal Police Assistant Commissioner said of the situation, "This case is like nothing we have ever seen on Australia soil. This is black market 101."

Police say the man generated tens of millions of dollars for the Pyongyang regime by arranging the sale of missiles, components and expertise from North Korea to other international players and he was even trying to arrange the transfer of coal from North Korea to Indonesia and Vietnam.

"This man was acting as a loyal agent for North Korea who believed he was acting to serve some higher patriotic purpose," Gaughan said. "I think at the end of the day he would sell whatever he could to make money back for the North Korean government."

Gaughan doesn't believe that any weapons or components passed through Australia. "We're alleging all the activity occurred offshore," he said.

The suspect faces a maximum 10-year prison sentence under Australia's Weapons of Mass Destruction Act, but Gaughan said the investigation is still ongoing and more charges are expected.

Where is Kim hiding?

Where's Kim? The corpulent North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has been missing for two weeks. The last time that happened, in late July, an ICBM launch took place.

Then after the launch, when it was safe for the lard butt to come to the surface, he reappeared in public.

So it's very possible his incognito status is an indication that another launch is about to take place as tensions increase and North Korea is ready to commemorate the Korean Peninsula's liberation from Japan at the end of World War Two.

Secretary of Defense James Mattis made it clear that if the adipose NoKo leader fires a missile at the U.S. or any of our territories, it's "game on." Trump had made it clear that this includes our allies.

Adding to the possibility of an imminent rocket-fire test, a U.S.-based North Korean watchdog site 38 North released satellite imagery of a submarine base in the rogue nation. The images show tarps place above the fore and aft decks of the Sinpo-class submarine base. The tarps are used to conceal movement.

According to other analysts Kim has a history of disappearing for lengthy periods due to an unknown "physical condition" that may be related to his pear-shaped body.

President Trump vowed last week that the U.S. would respond with "fire and fury" and is "locked and loaded" if North Korea dares to come close to carrying out an attack on Guam, a U.S. territory.

Pyongyang said after Trump's remarks that "even a single shell dropped on the Korean Peninsula might lead to the outbreak of thermonuclear war," and that they see "the U.S. no more than a lump" which it "can beat to a jelly at any time."

Jelly, like Kim's belly.

In typical Trumpian fashion, the president responded with "Oh yeah? Try it, fat boy."

Mattis: N. Korea's reckless action must be stopped

Defense Secretary James Mattis spoke at a news conference in London on Friday where he said that North Korea's "reckless" actions need to be stopped. He was referring to their nuclear weapons and missile programs.

He suggested that the rogue nation is more than an urgent problem.

"This is a threat of both rhetoric and growing capability, and we will be working with the international community to address this," Mattis said. "We are working through the United Nations, we are working our allies, and we are working diplomatically including with those who we might be able to enlist in this effort to get North Korea under control."

Back in 2012, Mattis viewed Iran as our main existential threat, but has pivoted to North Korea because its leader is a freaking lunatic and has even threatened the United States with nuclear missiles.

"Right now, it appears to be going in a very reckless manner in what its conduct is portraying for the future and it's got to be stopped," Mad Dog Mattis said.

In fact, it's likely North Korea is readying for another nuclear test while the left is concerned with recycling and genderless bathrooms.

Mattis was also asked about a U.S. general's comment regarding Russia supplying weapons to the Taliban. He said that he's seen activities between the two, but wouldn't confirm if weapons exchange actually took place.

When asked about Assad's future in Syria, he mostly deflected from the issue and claimed no decision has been made on deploying more U.S. troops to lovely Afghanistan saying "I have not made a recommendation to the president."

Iranian-back Houthis fire on Navy destroyer

According to the Pentagon, Houthi rebels fired two missiles at a U.S. Navy destroyer during operations off the coast of Yemen on Sunday. They were either lousy shots or missed the destroyer on purpose. I go with the first one.

But a U.S. defense official said that the ship, although was not hit, was definitely targeted.

This bellicose escalation occurred only a week after our Navy sent warships to the area when a United Arab Emirates flagged auxiliary ship was destroyed off the coast of Yemen by the same Houthis.

Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis said, "We assess the missiles were launched from Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen. The United States remains committed to ensuring freedom of navigation everywhere in the world, and we will continue to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of our ships and our service members."

This incident is not so much on the Houthis--it's on Iran. They're the ones who gave them the missiles and we need to reassess the nuclear deal and our relationship with these terrorists.

"In the first instance USS Mason employed onboard defensive measures, although it is unclear whether this led to the missile striking the water or whether it would have struck the water anyway," an official told Fox News.

The USS Mason was conducting routine operations in international waters when the Houthis fired the missiles, but an exact location was not given.

"Beyond that, the incident is under investigation, and we hope to have more details for you in the coming days," the official said. "We take this very seriously. We will protect our people."

Yemen's Shi'ite Muslim rebels offered no reason for the missile launches which came after a Saudi-led airstrike targeting a funeral in Yemen's capital which killed over 140 people, and wounding 525 people.

North Korea makes a splash

New sanctions imposed by South Korea on the North has led Kim Jong Un to have a hissy fit with the firing of short-range ballistic missiles into the sea, making a huge splash and killing several fish and who knows what else.

The sea firing is the latest in hissy fit behavior in an escalating standoff between the North and South that started in January. Pyongyang said that it detonated an "H-bomb of justice" in a nuclear test, and later launched a long-range rocket.

The South since has closed a factory jointly run by the two Koreas and slapped sanctions on the North. The U.S. and South Korea began large-scale war games as the North threatened to nuke the South and the U.S. mainland. This brought great laughter to the U.S. and South Korea.


On Wednesday,  the North Korean media printed photos of a mock-up of a miniature nuclear warhead.  

North Korea's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (an oxymoron if there ever was one) said Thursday that the North will "liquidate" South Korean assets at the closed factory park along the North Korean border town of Kaesong as well as a scrapped tourism resort at Diamond Mountain.cThe statement from the "peaceful" committee also said that it will impose "lethal" military, political and economic blows on the government of the South to accelerate its "pitiable demise."

South Korea called the statement a "provocative act." They warned the North to keep its hands off South Korean assets, although the North didn't say what they planned to do with them. One possibility is to use the Diamond Mountain site for a basketball camp with Dennis Rodman at the helm.

The North's statement said the new sanctions were "laughable, unsightly," and called South Korea's female president, Park Geun-hye, an "American prostitute." 

They must have been trying to emulate a campaign debate or mistaken her for a Clinton escort.

The Justice League of N, Korea

Seoul-- Kim Jong Un may be calling upon his North Korean Justice League to wage an indiscriminate "pre-emptive nuclear strike of justice" on South Korea and the U.S. if we don't stop our military exercises with S. Korea. If this actually happens, President Obama, under the direction of Michelle Obama, will try to "grow a pair" and retaliate . . . or not.

But fear not, my fellow patriots, Kim has a tendency to make empty threats as he realizes that, to do what he says he would do, is a tad suicidal. 

However, the threats usually increase dramatically whenever Washington and Seoul put on their annual defensive war games in the spring--it rattles Kim's cage.

When Kim's dad died in 2011, forcing North Koreans to shed crocodile tears lest they join him, Kim the Pudge took over North Korea, a "Rube Goldberg"  type of  country. He ruled with a fat iron fist to make it clear who was the boss.

Kim liked to threaten larger countries and wield his power by killing family members whose only crime might have been that they belched at the dinner table. 

He also killed a few generals who may have smiled at what they thought was a Kim joke. In fact, just for kicks, he had one of the generals killed by mortar fire just so he could watch him die. 

Kim claims the war games are actually rehearsals for an invasion of his little country, a country that if it were a person, would be suffering from leprosy and the heebie-jeebies.  Listen up, Kim, nobody cares to for North Korea--you can have it all to yourself.

The North is threatening strikes in the South as well as U.S. bases in the Pacific, and even the U.S. mainland, claiming its enemies "are working with bloodshot eyes to infringe upon the dignity, sovereignty and vital rights' of North Korea."

The only one with bloodshot eyes is Dennis Rodman, but they go nicely with his new floral dress.

A statement by the North said, "If we push the buttons to annihilate the enemies even right now, all bases of provocations will be reduced to seas in flames and ashes in a moment." This has led U.S. intelligence sources to believe that Kim may on hallucinogenic drugs.

North Korea's rocket arsenal most likely does not have the capability to reach our west coast, but if a missile detonates close enough to create a great surf, I know a bunch of dudes who are ready with their baggies.
