Israel's Political Class Flirts With Civilian Control Becoming Political Control

There are moments in the life of a democracy when the greatest danger does not come from an external enemy, but from the temptation of those in power to bend the state's institutions to their own political ambitions. Israel, a nation whose security depends on an independent and professional military, has once again found itself confronting that uncomfortable reality.

The latest controversy erupted after Defense Minister Israel Katz announced during a live television appearance that he was replacing IDF Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, despite lacking the legal authority to make such a decision. Whether one supports or opposes the current government, the episode raises a far more consequential question than the fate of a single general. It asks whether political theater is beginning to eclipse the rule of law in matters of national defense.

Opposition leader and former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot wasted little time condemning the move.


"The spectacle that took place on [Channel 14] was an unprecedented lowpoint in relations between the political and military echelons, an improper and unlawful act," Eisenkot wrote on X. "The State of Israel is no one's private property, and the IDF is not a tool to be used in primaries by politicians who've lost their way."

His criticism lands at an especially delicate political moment. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party is preparing for August 17 primaries, where more than 100,000 party members will determine the party's Knesset slate ahead of Israel's October 27 general election. Katz is widely viewed as seeking a higher position on that list, making any appearance of politicizing military leadership especially damaging.

Eisenkot did not stop there. He argued that the government "is not fit to safeguard the security of the state," adding that "very soon, the people of Israel will have worthy and responsible leadership, with Israel's welfare and security as its sole concern."

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was equally unsparing, accusing the government of turning against the very institution charged with defending the nation.


"After dismantling the IDF from the outside and paving the way for mass draft evasion, the October 7 government has now decided to dismantle the IDF from within and guarantee complete chaos," Bennett wrote. "Tonight, I say to every citizen of Israel, and to all IDF soldiers and commanders, both active-duty and reservists: Hold on tight, the reinforcements are on their way. Soon, we will replace them, and together we will set things right."

Israel's security has always rested on a delicate constitutional understanding. Civilian leaders rightly command the military, but they do so through established legal authority and institutional restraint, not televised declarations or campaign calculations. Democracies survive because governments change while institutions endure.

Whether this latest dispute proves to be an isolated political misjudgment or a symptom of something more corrosive remains to be seen. But history offers a consistent lesson: once military appointments become instruments of partisan advantage, public confidence in both government and the armed forces begins to erode. That is a price Israel, surrounded by enemies and dependent upon the professionalism of the IDF, can scarcely afford to pay.

Former hostage calls on Knesset members to resign: "You killed the people of Israel"

Former hostage Rom Braslavski stood before the Knesset on May 11th and demanded the establishment of a state commission of inquiry into the horrors of October 7.

Members of the October Council, among them Braslavski himself, bereaved families, and residents of the Gaza border communities and the North, gathered at the parliament on Monday to mark the opening of its summer session with protest. Their purpose was plain and unyielding: to keep the massacre of October 7 and the evasion of responsibility that has followed it at the very centre of the nation’s conscience.

Braslavski spoke with the authority of one who had endured what no man should. He described his time in captivity and levelled a direct accusation at those elected to protect the people."I call on all Knesset members, everyone - just resign. Take responsibility and get out of our lives," Braslavski said.

"And just before you leave - appoint the state inquiry commission that will investigate exactly what happened here, so it doesn't happen again."

The families declared that in the months ahead they would make the creation of such a commission a non-negotiable condition for any future government. It must be established, they insisted, on the very first day of the next administration’s term.

“Have any of you ever been clinically dead?” Braslavski said.

“Have you ever been malnourished, weighing 47 kilograms, while a 50-year-old Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist jumped on your neck and laughed? At Nova, there were [Hamas's] Nukhba [Force] terrorists, and here in the Knesset sit those responsible for what happened. Shame on you. The people of Israel have not been alive for a long time because you killed them.”

They moved between the faction rooms, pressing party leaders to sign commitments. The October Council made clear that the commission must examine every institution and every figure that failed on that day, and bring to an end what it sees as a deliberate campaign by the present government to bury the truth.

Further actions would be announced in the run-up to the elections, all designed to ensure that the memory of October 7 is not permitted to fade from public life or from political debate.

Michel Ilouz, father of Guy, murdered in Hamas captivity, turned his attention to the man at the top.

“The prime minister gave an interview last night and said: ‘My problem with a commission of inquiry is that it goes up to October 7. What about since October 7? That was clearly my responsibility,’” Ilouz said. “Netanyahu, my son Guy was kidnapped alive and murdered in Hamas captivity. So are you admitting that his murder is your direct responsibility?”

Eyal Eshel, father of Roni Eshel, rejected the minimising language now common among ministers.

“Government ministers say this was only a ‘tactical failure’ and that we are just playing the victims,” he said.

“My Roni is in the cemetery in Kfar Saba. Section six, row one, grave two. How can I not see the scale of the miracle there?” Eshel said. “When you go to the ballot box soon, remember the women who were raped, slaughtered, and murdered. Remember the female soldiers who were burned. Remember the children who did not come home. Remember my Roni.”

Nirit Baram, whose daughter Neta was killed on October 7, observed that the same cast of characters remains in charge, behaving as though the catastrophe had never occurred.

“The same arrogance, the same conception, the same contempt, the same escape from responsibility,” Baram said. “Everything they have is devoted only to their political survival, to shifting responsibility, and of course to not investigating. Anything but a state commission of inquiry. Why? Because they know exactly what will be exposed there.”

This is the voice of a people who have paid in blood for the illusions and derelictions of their leaders. Whether those leaders will finally listen remains to be seen. But the demand for truth, and for accountability, will not be silenced.

Knesset passes non-binding motion on Judea and Samaria sovereignty

The Israeli Knesset has just made a move that reverberates far beyond the chamber’s walls. On Wednesday, 71 of its 120 members passed a non-binding resolution endorsing Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley. Only 13 dissented. This is no mere parliamentary gesture; it is a bold assertion of historical truth and national resolve, rooted in a reality too often obscured by the obfuscations of international diplomacy.

The resolution, spearheaded by Dan Illouz (Likud), Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionism), Limor Son Har-Melech (Otzma Yehudit), and Oded Forer (Yisrael Beiteinu), declares with unapologetic clarity: "Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley are an inseparable part of the Land of Israel, the historic, cultural and spiritual homeland of the Jewish people." 

It goes further, anchoring this claim in the deep soil of history: "Centuries and millennia before the establishment of the modern state, the forefathers and prophets of the nation lived and acted in these regions. Here, the foundations of Jewish faith and culture were laid. Cities like Hebron, Shechem (Nablus), Shiloh and Beit El are not merely historical sites, they are living expressions of the continuous Jewish presence in the land."

This was a Hatza'a l'Seder Yom, a "suggestion for discussion" in Knesset parlance, a resolution that carries no legal obligation but sends a signal as clear as a desert sunrise. Illouz, speaking to JNS, minced no words: "For the first time ever, the Knesset is expressing official support for the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. The message that came out of the plenary is clear: Judea and Samaria are not a bargaining chip—they are the heart of our country." 

He pressed the point: "This is not a symbolic statement but the beginning of a national decision. The world does not respect evasions, but a clear stand on our right to the Land of Israel. The time for sovereignty has come." Here is a nation refusing to barter its heritage for the approval of a world that too often prefers platitudes to principles.

The resolution's resonance extends beyond the Knesset. Israel Ganz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, framed it as "clear and undeniable evidence of the national will to realize our values and our right to our land." He called the vote "a significant milestone on the path toward advancing the strategic step that will fortify the security of the entire State of Israel," before issuing a direct challenge: "I now call on the government of Israel: Turn this decision into reality on the ground." The Sovereignty Movement, founded in 2010 by Nadia Matar and Yehudit Katzover, hailed it as the fruit of relentless advocacy: "Years of activity, statements, rallies, conferences, articles, journals, programs and proposals have ripened into the historic parliamentary step we witnessed today."

This is not a new conversation. The Netanyahu government, like its predecessor, has toyed with sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, or at least the Jordan Valley, with expectations peaking in 2020 before the Abraham Accords shifted the regional calculus. Nor is this the Knesset's first foray. On May 28, a similar non-binding declaration passed, albeit with only 15 coalition lawmakers present. On February 21, 2024, a resounding 99-11 vote rejected unilateral Palestinian statehood, dismissing "international diktats regarding a permanent settlement with the Palestinians." The message is consistent: Israel will not be dictated to. The Netanyahu government’s actions, approving 41,709 housing units and 50 new Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria since December 2022, suggest a determination to cement this reality on the ground.

Yet, predictably, the international chorus of disapproval was swift. Nine Islamic and Arab states: Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE, alongside the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Palestinian Authority, issued a joint condemnation via Qatar’s Foreign Ministry. They decried the resolution as a "blatant and unacceptable violation of international law and a flagrant breach of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions." 

The Palestinian Authority’s deputy head, Hussein al-Sheikh, went further, calling it a "direct assault on the rights of the Palestinian people but also a dangerous escalation that undermines the prospects for peace, stability, and the two-state solution based on negotiation." He added: "These unilateral Israeli actions blatantly violate international law and the ongoing international consensus regarding the status of the occupied Palestinian territories, including the West Bank." One might ask: which international consensus? The one that ignores Jewish history while sanctifying every grievance against it?

This vote follows a Sovereignty Conference on Monday, where hundreds of Israelis, including ministers and lawmakers, gathered to press for extending Israeli law over territories liberated in the 1967 Six-Day War. Organized by MKs Illouz, Keti Shitrit, Moshe Passal, Ariel Kallner, and Avichai Boaron, it was a deliberate push to force the government’s hand. Israel has also warned European nations that unilateral recognition of Palestinian statehood could trigger further sovereignty moves—a diplomatic shot across the bow.

What we see here is a nation asserting its historical and moral claim against a world that often prefers Israel to shrink rather than stand tall. The resolution may not bind the government, but it lays bare a truth: Judea and Samaria are not chips to be traded in some geopolitical casino.

They are, as Illouz said, "the heart of our country." The question now is whether Israel will act on this conviction or allow the cacophony of international condemnation to drown it out. History, one suspects, is watching closely.

Ultra Orthodox lawmaker was the man behind rescue of Israelis on Jordan border

In the early hours of Saturday, when most people are asleep, an ultra-Orthodox Knesset member, Moshe Roth, orchestrated a daring rescue of Israelis stranded in the perilous wilds of Jordan, as reported by Israel National News. 

These were not mere travelers but families caught in a Kafkaesque nightmare, their flight from Larnaca to Aqaba delayed until midnight, leaving them at the mercy of a border shuttered since 8 p.m. Jordan, a land now so hostile to Israelis that it bears a Level 4 travel warning, offered no solace, except for the rare exception of rescue flights permitted to land in Aqaba, a lifeline for those fleeing to a homeland where Ben-Gurion Airport lies largely dormant.

Roth, a disciple of the Sanz Hasidic movement and a voice for United Torah Judaism, received a desperate call late Friday night. The Sabbath’s sanctity might have bound lesser men, but Roth, grasping the mortal peril facing these unguarded families, acted with the urgency of a man who knows history’s cost. He rallied his comrade, Deputy Transportation Minister Uri Maklev, alongside security officials and the Foreign Ministry’s Situation Room. The diplomatic machinery whirred to life: a Jordanian officer was roused from sleep, the crossing flung open, and the families, escorted by Jordanian police, crossed into Israel at 3 a.m., a mere breath from Eilat’s safety.

“In the end, the ones who took action, made the effort, and cared were the Knesset members from United Torah Judaism,” one of the rescued declared. “It didn’t matter to them who was stranded:  religious, secular, young people, or families. They gave us genuine help without asking questions; their only concern was to help Jews in distress.” 

Such words cut through the cynicism of our age, revealing a truth too often buried; that in moments of crisis, identity and duty can still bind a people.

Roth, born in New York, carries the weight of his grandfather’s suffering, a Holocaust survivor beaten near to death “because of his Jewish identity.” In his first Knesset address in January 2023, he spoke of this as a “fundamental” force, a call to fortify the Jewish soul of the nation. Now, as head of the Knesset’s Ethics Committee, he has shown that such words are not mere rhetoric but a creed lived in the dark hours when lives hang in the balance.

Jerusalem court allows bereaved families to seize $43 million Palestinian Authority funds

The Jerusalem District Court issued a provisional order on Wednesday, allowing a group of Israeli families who have lost members to terrorism to seize 160 million shekels ($43 million) from Palestinian Authority funds that have been frozen by Jerusalem pending proceedings against the P.A., according to Ynet.

If the families win in court, the money will be distributed among the dozens of plaintiffs which would amount to 10 million shekels, or about $2.7 million per family. Not anything equivalent to replacing those who were brutally slaughtered on and after the October 7 attack, but something to help them with in the future, especially if the family has lost the main breadwinner.

The 210 million-shekel claim was filed in early July by dozens of Israeli families whose relatives were killed in recent years, including in the ax attack in Elad on Independence Day in 2022, and the October 7 Hamas massacre at the Supernova festival near the Gaza border.

This lawsuit is the first action taken since the "Compensation for Terror Victims Bill" was passed by the Knesset, requiring courts to award punitive damages of no less than 10 million shekels per death.

To ease the collection of the punitive awards by victims and their heirs, judgments may be enforced against “any property of the defendant, including any property seized or frozen by the State of Israel.”

The families included in the class action base their claim on the fact that Ramallah “encouraged, supported and sanctioned” the attacks in which their loved ones were murdered, their attorney told Ynet in July.

“The war on terror is currently focused in two areas: in the Gaza Strip and in the courtrooms,” said Barak Kedem, attorney at the Jerusalem-based Arbus, Kedem, Tzur law firm in a statement cited by the website.

“In Gaza, our soldiers are fighting terrorism. In the courtrooms, we fight the encouragement of terrorism by the Palestinian Authority, which pays vast monthly salaries to terrorists in exchange for the blood they shed, the blood of righteous and pure men, women and children,” Kedem added, referring to the PA's "pay for slay" policy that pays out monthly stipends to convicted terrorists and to the families of slain terrorists. They call it the Martyr's Fund and grants the money to the terrorists or next of kin for as long as they live.

Since the Oct. 7 massacre in Israeli communities near Gaza, the P.A. has added thousands of Palestinians to its list of those who qualify for terror stipends, an Israeli watchdog reported in January. So anyone who has sympathy for the poor Palestinians needs to understand that they cheered the slaughter on that day and afterward, and despite this fact, Israel still does all it can to limit civilian casualties and provides aid and medical treatment to Palestinians and have done the latter even before October 7.

P.A. officials announced that 3,550 more terrorists imprisoned in Israel would qualify for payouts, as will the families of more than 20,000 slain “martyrs,” according to Jerusalem-based Palestine Media Watch.

IDF has reportedly eliminated 60% of Hamas terrorists in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces has reportedly killed or wounded 60 percent of the Hamassholes that perpetrated the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel that raped, burned and killed 1,200 men, women and children, the Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reported. In that attack, an additional 250 or so Israelis were kidnapped and many have perished in the hands of the jihadis.

Gallant [who has a really cool name] spoke on Wednesday to lawmakers at the Knesset, Israel's parliament. He also revealed that the IDF eliminated most of the Hamasshole's 24 battalions.

“The action of the IDF that has so far led to the elimination of over 14,000 terrorists and the collapse of the military frameworks of Hamas is, in fact, the testimony of what I am saying,” he said. “Everything will be done in accordance with the law and in accordance with the operational need.”

The Defense Minister also vowed that anyone who participated in the October 7 massacre will be held accountable. “There is no refuge and no safe place for those who took part in the massacre against Israeli citizens; we will bring him to justice,” he said. “Eventually, we will reach them all.”

Sounds like what Israel did in regard to Adolf Eichmann. So, they can run, but they can't hide forever.

“There are only two options for these people: prison or the graveyard,” Gallant said, referring to the scumbags involved in the Oct, 7 massacre and atrocities.

“IDF soldiers have been working tirelessly for nine months in the most just war we have known throughout our existence,” the defense chief added. “IDF soldiers fought courageously and stopped them during the first days, and then moved the war to enemy territory with a powerful attack.”

Finally, it's noteworthy that Gallant calls for international support for Israel in this war against evil.

Israel's Knesset pens bill to designate terrorist UNRWA as a "Terror Organization"

If it quacks like a terrorist, blows stuff up like a terrorist, kills innocent people like a terrorist, well by jingo, it's a terrorist!

The Knesset plenum has approved a preliminary reading of legislation that designates the UN Relief and Works Agency as a "terror organization" on Wednesday. The reason for this is due to the fact that UNRWA participated in the Oct. 7 massacre of Jews, harbored hostages and weapons for Hamas in their homes, joined Hamas the day the attack was launched, and do all they can to kill Jews and advance jihad. Aside from that, there is no other evidence.

The bill first has to clear more legislative hurdles, and it would pave the way for Israel to completely sever ties with the terrorist UN agency.

The bill’s preliminary reading passed by a vote of 42-6, implying that 12.5% of those who voted are fools. 

Specifically, the legislation authorizes the Foreign Ministry to make the final determination on the terror designation. The agency would then be stripped of its diplomatic immunity, tax-exempt status, and other legal benefits.

Following the vote, MK Avigdor Liberman, the head of the right-wing opposition Israel Beiteinu party, said on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Today it is more clear than ever that UNRWA, which assisted in the murder, kidnapping and rape of Jews during the October 7 attack, does not assist refugees, but only the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.”

UNRWA has been under fire for months, as Israeli officials demanded the terrorist agency be stripped of its authority in Gaza and defunded amid revelations that members of the agency’s staff participated in Hamas’s October 7 attacks and everything else mentioned above.

Israel’s largest bank froze UNRWA’s account in February over suspicious financial transfers that the agency failed to adequately explain. It's quite likely the money is being funneled to Hamas and not to local synagogues.

The IDF discovered a Hamas complex located directly under the UNRWA’s Gaza City headquarters. Among the things they found within the tunnels were computer servers belonging to Hamas, with UNRWA providing the electric system.

In addition, the IDF found weapons in the UNRWA facilities on many occasions. How they got there is anyone's guess.

Jerusalem’s deputy mayor even accused UNRWA of undermining Israeli sovereignty over the city, among other things.

Meanwhile, back in the States, Gays and Queers for Palestine have not yet been thrown to their deaths from high places as they refuse to physically go to Gaza to put their money where their mouths may have been.

DAY 10: Israel Under Attack

There is no equivalence between Israel and Hamas. And make no mistake about it, this is a religious war for Hamas.

Early Monday morning, Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Sheba, Sderot, and communities along the Gaza border were under rocket attack. It got to the point that the Knesset, where Netanyahu spoke today, had to end abruptly and take shelter due to a rocket attack.

Hamas stole medical supplies and fuel from the UNRWA agency in the war zone. Hamas claims to hold 200 hostages with another 50 hostages being held by another Islamic group.

Mossad is calling for the closing of Al Jazeera bureau in Israel due to the danger that exists as thousands of Gazans are still trying to flee northern Gaza as Israel gave them more time to leave as Hamas is blocking roads in order to stop them. They are even taking the car keys of civilians to keep them in place in order to use them as dead propaganda props.

Water has been restored to South Gaza. It was originally stopped in order for Hamas to release the hostages they took, but the Hamassholes would rather let the Gazan citizens die of thirst, so Israel did the humane thing.

Exercises are being conducted by the IDF to prepare forces to enter Gaza.

Rumor has it that President Biden may visit Israel Wednesday or Friday and it is hoped he will know where he is when he arrives, if he actually goes there.

The US has sent two aircraft carrier fighter groups to the area, the Gerald R. Ford and the Eisenhower. Each group has the capability of leveling an entire town.

Some have called for Israel to respond to Hamas with a proportional response. This means they will have to take the same number of hostages of the same ages and genders of those Hamas took, kill the same number of young people at a dance festival [good luck with that], shoot up areas ion Gaza and kill whole families, mutilate women, children and babies, some need to be burned, some simply beheaded, to effect a proportional response.

Proportional response? WTF!

Tlaib's granny tries to weaponize G_d against Trump

Granny Tlaib, the "Bubby" of Rep[ulsive] Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said [on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath] that she hopes Allah will "ruin" President Trump after her zaftig granddaughter's request to visit her was granted that she could go visit her in Israel, and then she changed her mind. Granny is nice, but if she couldn't call for the total destruction of the Jewish state what's the point of her going there?

"I was so happy that she was coming," Muftia [pronounced "Mafia"] Tlaib, who lives in Israel's West Bank, told Reuters. "Everyone was excited that she was coming for her grandmother to see her."

But after she was initially denied entry into Israel and then requested to see Granny, the Israeli government gave her permission as long as she did not do anything like call for the support of Boycott Divestment and Sanction movement (BDS) or other anti-Israel behavior. They called her bluff and she screwed up--she backed off and blamed Israel. She is full of falafel or something.

Here's how it went down:

The Israeli government said on Thursday that it would deny entry to Tlaib, and fellow anti-Semite and anti-Zionist, progressive Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over their advocacy of the BDS movement, which seeks to punish and eventually destroy Israel by politically and economically depriving the Jewish state. 

In order to protect the nation, the Israeli Knesset enacted anti-BDS legislation in 2017 that allows the government to block foreign activists from traveling to Israel. Any democratic country would do the same under similar circumstances.

The Israeli government advised Tlaib to file a special humanitarian request in order to visit Israel and see her family. Tlaib eventually did file. 

In a letter sent to Israel's Interior Minister Ayreh Deri, the hate-filled congresswoman expressed the importance of visiting her aging grandmother [she's 90 years old] and vowed not to promote any boycotts against the Jewish state during her trip. 

After her humanitarian request was granted, her bluff called, Tlaib announced that she would not be traveling to Israel, and thereby abstain from seeing her grandmother, due to the country's "oppressive [and] racist policies."

The truth is, Tlaib really doesn't behave as if she cares enough to see her grandmother as much as she appears to hate Israel and the Jews.

"Silencing me [and] treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me. It would kill a piece of me," she lied. "I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in – fighting against racism, oppression [and] injustice."

In other words, if she would not be permitted to call for the destruction of Israel, she didn't want to go and granny can whistle.

After reports surfaced on Wednesday that Deri was slated to block Tlaib and Omar entry into Israel, President Trump commended the reported news.

"It would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. Omar and Rep. Tlaib to visit. They hate Israel [and] all Jewish people, [and] there is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds," Trump said. "Minnesota and Michigan will have a hard time putting them back in office. They are a disgrace!"

He later slammed Tlaib's decision to "obnoxiously" turn down the special waiver that Israel had granted, despite "desperately wanting to visit her grandmother."

"A complete setup. Only real winner here is Tlaib's grandmother," Trump said. "She doesn't have to see her now!"

LOL.

"Trump tells me I should be happy Rashida is not coming," Muftia Tlaib responded to the president. "May God ruin him." [The god she was referring to is Allah.]

Such a lovely woman is granny Tlaib. Now you know where Rashida gets her sunny disposition and looks.

Tlaib hates Israel more than she loves her granny

 Israel's Foreign Minister Ayre Deri didn't allow Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) to get away with her political ploy on Friday after she was offered a special waiver to visit her grandmother in the West Bank but turned it down in the pretense that it was never issued.

Deri made the “final decision” to block Tlaib, along with her fellow anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from visiting the Jewish state over their advocacy of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. This is a movement which seeks to politically and economically starve Israel over its alleged treatment of Palestinians and it is, by clear definition, anti-Semitic as it singles out only Israel.

The Israeli Knesset enacted anti-BDS legislation in 2017 that blocks foreign activists from gaining entry to the country; Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cited the law when he announced the country’s decision, and any democracy like Israel and the US would have similar laws.

“No country in the world respects America and the American Congress more than the State of Israel,” Netanyahu said in a statement. “As a free and vibrant democracy, Israel is open to critics and criticism with one exception: Israeli law prohibits the entry into Israel of those who call for and work to impose boycotts on Israel, as do other democracies that prohibit the entry of people who seek to harm the country.”

Netanyahu further explained that the decision was made after the Israeli government received a copy of the Tlaib and Omar itinerary, which illustrated that the trip’s “sole objective is to strengthen the boycott against us” in an attempt “deny Israel’s legitimacy.”

However, following Israel’s decision to bar the anti-Zionist tag-team, Tlaib followed up with a special humanitarian request to gain entry into the country in order to see her grandmother who lives in the West Bank--she was calling Israel's bluff.

And that's where she screwed up.

In a letter to Deri, the Michigan congresswoman stated the importance of visiting her aging grandmother and pledged not to promote any boycotts against Israel during her trip.

Surprise! Deri granted her request, but Tlaib took to Twitter to announce that she would be abstaining from visiting the country and her aging grandmother due to Israel’s “oppressive [and] racist policies.”

She would rather her granny die than to give Israel the credit of their humanity.

So she lied: “Silencing me [and] treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me,” Tlaib said referring to her grandmother. “It would kill a piece of me.”

“I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in – fighting against racism, oppression [and] injustice,” she lied.

Deri fired back at Tlaib, stating that she hates the Jewish state even more than she loves a member of her own family, based on the facts [which is the same as truth, Joe Biden].

“Rep. Tlaib just tweeted that she won’t be coming to Israel,” Deri explained. “Just yesterday she sent me a letter, asking to visit her 90 year old grandmother saying, ‘it might be my last chance to meet her.’”

“I approved her request as a gesture of good will on a humanitarian basis, but it was just a provocative request aimed at bashing the State of Israel,” he continued. “Apparently her hate for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother.”

Tlaib followed up with a press release accusing the Israeli government of using her “love and desire to see [her] grandmother” as a tool to silence her, which she further compared to the “racist treatment that many Palestinian Americans endure” from Israel.

Of course this is another lie and a shameful way to use her grandmother to make political points with her fellow anti-Semites whose prejudice against Israel and the Jews is written in stone.

Peace will come when the world becomes sick and tired of the real hatred that exists; not the invented lies of the media and politicians.

Omar 'chuckles' when calling Israel a democracy: compares it to Iran

Rep[ulsive] Ilhan Omar (D-MN) a congressional freshman, is getting blowback after she compared Israel to Iran, a country that has just made it illegal for their citizens to walk a dog in public and hangs gay people.

The anti-Semite Muslim said that she "almost chuckle[s]" when the Jewish state is described as a democracy, a remark she made on a Yahoo! News interview on Tuesday.

She also likes Venezuela's dictator and other U.S. adversaries.

When she was asked about how the U.S. can facilitate the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, she criticized the U.S. for not having “an equal approach” in dealing with both sides, not realizing that Israel is an ally and the so-called Palestinians are not.

“Most of the things that have been aggravating to me is that we have had a policy that makes one superior to the other. And we mask it with a conversation about justice and a two-state solution. When you have policies that clearly prioritize one over the other,” she said.

Omar, who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, was asked to explain in more detail what she meant, prompting her to criticize America’s closest ally in the Middle East.

“I mean just our relationship with the Israeli government and the Israeli state. And so when I see Israel institute laws that recognize it as a Jewish state and does not recognize the other religions that are living in it,” she said, because she is clueless and not very fair-minded.

“And we still uphold it as a democracy in the Middle East I almost chuckle because I know that if we see that any other society we would criticize it, call it out,” the lawmaker continued. “We do that to Iran, we do that to any other place that sort of upholds its religion. And I see that now happening with Saudi Arabia and so I am aggravated, truly, in those contradictions.”

The truth is, Israel is superior to the Palestinians in several ways. To begin, let's look at Israel and where it stands in terms of democracy and fairness:

1. According to the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, in 2013, the Israeli population was comprised of 1,658,000 Arabs, or 21 percent of the population. Arabs in the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem living there after the 1967 Six Day War, were offered Israeli citizenship. While most turned it down, they were given permanent residency status with a future option of becoming citizens.

2. There are three main Arab political parties in Israel: a) Hadash, which is a joint Arab-Jewish party; b) Balad; and c) United Arab List, which is a coalition of political organizations including Islamic Movement in Israel and Ta'al. There are no Israeli-Jewish political parties in the Palestinian Authority. In fact, there are no living Jews in so-called Palestine that are free to walk the streets.

3. Palestinian Arabs sat in Israel's very first parliamentary assembly in 1949.

4. In 2011, 13 of the 120 members of the Israeli Parliament are Arab citizens, compared to zero Israelis in the Palestinian Authority government in any context. 

5. There is one Arab on the Israeli Supreme Court. There are no Israelis involved in any capacity with Palestinian law.

6. In 2004, then-Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, declared that every state-run company must have at least one Arab on its board of directors. 

7. In 2015, there were 18 Arabs elected to the Knesset. There are no Israelis in the Palestinian Authority.

Omar's anti-Semitic comments sparked condemnation on social media, with former New York state Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a Democrat, criticizing her comparing Israel with Iran.

“Who objects to Saudi Arabia being Islamic? Or any of the other 48 Muslim states? The issue with Iran isn’t their state religion; it’s their terror-loving leaders that are condemned. @IlhanMN needs to learn about the world before she’s out of excuses for her antisemitism,” he wrote.

Jim Hanson, president of Security Studies Group who also served in U.S. Army Special Forces, meanwhile, accused Omar of being an “anti-Semite” and lamented that she’s a member of Congress.

“@IlhanMN is an anti-Semite. Give her an opportunity to speak her mind & like most bigots she'll tell you. She laughs at the idea Israel is a democracy & compares it to Iran. Shameful to have those ideas represented in Congress,” he wrote.

This isn’t the first time Omar has been slammed for her comments regarding Israel. She had to apologize earlier this month for a tweet that read: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine#Israel.”

Yeah, the evil doings of Israel--that's why Hamassholes hurl stones and fire rockets and mortars at Israeli school buses and kill families, mothers, fathers and babies while they sleep. They do it to stop Israeli evil.

Nobel Oxymoron Peace Prize

Who best to represent the Palestinian Authority for the "coveted" Nobel Peace (LOL) Prize than a convicted anti-Semitic Jew-murderer who is now serving not one, not two, but FIVE life sentences? It's an elegant oxymoron, but it isn't funny like, say, "jumbo shrimp" or "military intelligence."

Palestinian leaders offered Marwan Barghouti as their choice for the Nobel. He is the founder of al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and is known as "the Palestinian Mandela." Let's not forget that Mandela was considered a great man because he was willing to use violence for his cause, not in spite of it.

Barghouti was convicted in 2004 of five counts of murder. He was behind the Tel Aviv seafood market attack in which three civilians were killed. This scumcrumpet, while serving time in prison actually toyed with the idea of running for president--and he has all the immoral qualifications, but he would have a hard job of delegating his duties from behind bars.

The Nobel Peace Prize is the perfect gift to go on Barghouti's wish list. After all, if  Barack Obama (who obviously is pro-Palestine over Israel as indicated by his desire to have Israel return to the 1967 suicidal borders), Jimmy Carter (who is totally anti-Zionist), Yassar Arafat (PLO leader who killed Jews at the Munich Olympic Games), Malala Yousafzal (who gave her prize money to the Palestinian Authority), then why not Barghouti? 

Hell, even Al Gore scored the prize.

The West Bank's Fatah equates Barghouti's arrest as an "abduction," and suggest the terrorist should be allowed to go free and do his will with diplomatic immunity. 

Perhaps they should even allow him to have his own parking space by the Knesset. 

"[Barghouti's] candidacy is essentially a call to recognize the legitimacy of the prisoners' struggle . . . and also a response to the claims and Israeli terms that do not recognize the legitimacy of their struggle, and treat them as terrorists and criminals," said Issa Karake, head of the PLO's Commission of Prisoner Affairs.

Itamar Marcus, of Palestinian Media Watch countered, "The Palestinian Authority has claimed for years that they have a right under international law, confirmed by a UN resolution, to kill Israeli civilians in all places and at all times. Accordingly, those Palestinians who have killed Israelis are said to have done something positive and heroic. Palestinian murderers of Israeli civilians are presented as heroes and role models." 

Yes, even children's cartoon on Palestinian TV depict cute little animated characters as hating the evil Jews,  depicting them as demons who drink the blood of Palestinian children to make their holiday matzoh. 

The victims of Barghouti's hatred for the Jewish people were simply guilty of being Jewish or thought to be Jewish. That is the real reason Muslims kill Jews. 

I've said it many times before that anti-Semitism is virulent in the Koran. You really should read it and decide for yourself.

But giving Barghouti a Nobel Peace Prize, or even considering the possibility, should tell you a lot about the prize itself and how it has lost all meaning for what it was originally intended.
