Death toll hits 9 after Islamists open fire on Christian funeral in Jordan; officials gently suggest “extremist” ideology might be involved

A handful of mostly peaceful  gunmen decided Friday was the perfect day to interrupt a funeral at a Greek Orthodox church in Karak, Jordan, roughly 55 miles south of Amman. They merely killed nine people and wounded more than two dozen others, authorities said.

Jordanian Health Minister Ibrahim al-Budour reported Saturday that one critically injured patient was still hanging on at Prince Ali Military Hospital in unstable condition. Government spokesperson Mohammad Momani helpfully clarified that the attackers “subscribed to ‘extremist takfiri ideology,’” the worldview that treats anyone who doesn’t share a sufficiently rigid reading of Islam as an apostate fair game for execution. Groups like ISIS have found this framework useful for murdering Muslims, Christians, and Jews alike.

Karak has a noticeable Christian minority, so Momani made sure to stress that Christians are “part of Jordan’s national fabric”—a reminder that apparently still needs issuing after events like this, which is sure to keep the jihadis at bay.

Whether the shooters had formal ties to any named terrorist organization [in addition to Islam] remains unclear, and Jordanian authorities had not announced any arrests as of Saturday. Footage aired on Jordanian state television showed two gunmen with what looked like pistols approaching the church and opening fire, according to the Associated Press. A third man carrying what appeared to be a semiautomatic rifle joined them shortly afterward, and all three then moved toward the building.

Witness photos and video captured broken glass and pools of blood inside the church. Once police secured the scene, two bodies covered with blankets were visible outside.

Dorgham Halasa told the AP that intense gunfire broke out inside the church about 15 minutes after the funeral service started. People ran. Halasa said he did not see the gunmen himself, but others he spoke with described at least four attackers. Authorities had not confirmed the exact number as of Saturday.

King Abdullah II stated that Jordan will “confront the terrorist act that targeted Karak with the harshest penalties.” He continued: “Whoever imagines that the bullets of treachery can divide the ranks of Jordanians will fail in his endeavor before our steadfastness and unity. Our deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, and our wishes for recovery to the wounded.”

Jordan declared three days of national mourning, the state-run Petra News Agency reported.

The attack fits a pattern long familiar to anyone tracking Islamist violence against Christian communities in the region. Officials continue to describe the ideology as “extremist,” as though the problem is a narrow fringe rather than a recurring feature of certain doctrinal interpretations that treat non-adherents as legitimate targets. Maybe if they actually read the Qur'an, they might come to a different conclusion.

Jordan’s relative stability and the king’s response distinguish it from places where similar attacks have become routine and less vigorously condemned, but the underlying motive remains the one authorities themselves identified.

Civilization Is Once Again Asked Whether Aggression Carries Consequences

Two American service members were killed Saturday in an Iranian strike on Jordan, according to U.S. Central Command. A third American remains missing. It is a grim reminder that the Iranian regime continues to conduct itself as it has for decades, treating violence not as a last resort but as a preferred instrument of statecraft.

These are the first confirmed American combat fatalities resulting from Iran's attacks on Jordan this week. Four additional U.S. troops were evacuated to Jordanian hospitals for treatment and have since been released. CENTCOM stated that the names of the fallen will not be released until 24 hours after their families have been notified.

The attacks extend well beyond Jordan. In recent days, Iran has struck America's partners throughout the region. Kuwait reported that an Iranian attack hit a power generation and water desalination facility, igniting a fire and forcing critical infrastructure offline. A child in Qatar was injured by shrapnel. Bahrain also came under attack. This is not the behavior of a nation seeking stability. It is the behavior of a revolutionary regime that has spent decades exporting instability wherever it can.

The United States has responded by intensifying strikes against Iranian military targets, particularly around Bandar Abbas, the regime's principal strategic port on the Strait of Hormuz. The city is not merely a commercial center. It houses Iran's naval headquarters and serves as a vital hub for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the regime's military operations.

CENTCOM also confirmed the destruction of the surveillance tower at Chah Bahar Shahid Kalantari Port on July 16, an installation with clear operational significance.

"The destruction of the tower directly degrades IRGC’s ability to coordinate attacks on innocent civilian crew members," CENTCOM said.

The statement reflects a simple military reality. Modern conflicts are won not only by destroying weapons but by dismantling the command structures that direct them. Surveillance and communications infrastructure are force multipliers. Removing them limits an adversary's ability to wage war.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth reinforced that message by sharing images of American troops and declaring that "Iran does not control the SoH," referring to the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, the consequences of the conflict are increasingly being felt inside Iran itself. Reports indicate that the regime's Energy Ministry has instructed residents to reduce electricity consumption during peak hours after attacks on energy facilities disrupted the power grid across southern provinces. As so often happens under authoritarian governments, ordinary citizens are left to bear the costs of decisions made by leaders who remain insulated from the suffering they create.

The latest escalation follows Tehran's announcement that it would no longer honor its interim peace agreement with the United States. That decision has brought predictable consequences. History offers few examples of regimes abandoning diplomatic commitments while simultaneously escalating military aggression without inviting a forceful response.

President Trump summarized the strategic dilemma in stark terms during a July 14 interview.

"The only way you can negotiate with these people is through strength," Trump said. "And the only strength is military strength."

Whether one agrees entirely with that formulation or not, recent events have reinforced an uncomfortable truth. Peace cannot be sustained by wishful thinking alone. It requires the credible willingness to confront those who believe violence carries no meaningful cost.

Iran has launched a missile attack on Jordan

Not mosques; missiles

“Seek overhead cover and shelter in place immediately,” the embassy warned.

On Thursday, Iran directed missiles toward Jordan. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps asserted that its forces had targeted the U.S.-operated Muwaffaq Salti Air Base. This strike forms part of a confrontation between Washington and Tehran that now spreads steadily across the region.

Jordan’s military reported that it had intercepted eight Iranian missiles before they could reach their intended targets within the kingdom. The U.S. Embassy in Amman responded with a nationwide security alert. It spoke of “missiles, drones, or rockets” in Jordanian airspace and instructed American citizens to take immediate shelter.

“Reports indicate missiles, drones, or rockets are in Jordanian airspace. Seek overhead cover and shelter in place immediately,” the embassy said. The launches caused a temporary halt in air travel.

All flights at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport were delayed while Jordan dealt with the aerial threat. This assault on Jordan followed a wider Iranian retaliatory operation launched earlier the same day.

Tehran declared that it had sent a large barrage of missiles and explosive drones against U.S. military sites in Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Iranian sources claimed successful strikes on an aerial early warning system in Qatar, fuel storage facilities in Bahrain, and a Patriot missile battery in Kuwait. Iranian state media described the targets as “key infrastructure and facilities” linked to the American military presence across the Gulf.

At the same time, Reuters noted a drone strike on a camp belonging to the Iranian Kurdish opposition northeast of Erbil in Iraq. Another front opened in a conflict that expands with alarming speed.

These latest attacks arrived while the United States pressed its own military campaign against Iran. Iranian media described explosions in several cities, among them Kerman, Bushehr, Asaluyeh, and Bandar Abbas. The deputy governor of Bushehr province was quoted as saying that U.S. projectiles had struck areas surrounding the Bushehr nuclear power plant.

Several locations in the province, including the perimeter of the nuclear facility itself, came under fire in the most recent wave of American strikes. This widening exchange of blows follows consecutive nights of U.S. operations against Iranian military infrastructure. It comes after Tehran first targeted commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

The pattern now raises grave and entirely justified fears that the conflict is sliding into a broader regional war.

Trump Pauses Iran Strikes, Believes A Deal is Imminent

WASHINGTON, D.C. — After spending the morning threatening to turn Iran’s military infrastructure into a parking lot, President Trump abruptly announced Thursday afternoon that peace was back on the menu and the whole thing was “all wrapped up,” proving once again that Middle East diplomacy now operates like a New York real estate negotiation conducted entirely through Truth Social posts.

“We have a deal,” Trump reportedly told aides moments after allegedly green-lighting, canceling, then re-green-lighting a plan to seize Iran’s Kharg Island before finally deciding he preferred making headlines instead.

“Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others.”

Sources inside Washington confirmed several Pentagon officials were informed of the cancellation only after seeing the president’s post sandwiched between advertisements for gold coins and pillows.

The agreement reportedly includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz, renewed nuclear negotiations, and what experts are calling “the annual Middle East ceasefire that lasts somewhere between four hours and two weeks.”

“It’s pretty much all wrapped up,” Trump told The Post in a phone call that insiders say lasted roughly the same amount of time as one of his golf putts.

The sudden diplomatic breakthrough came just hours after Trump warned Iran he would strike them “VERY HARD TONIGHT” and floated plans to take over Kharg Island and “assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets.”

“At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela,” Trump wrote earlier Thursday morning, causing cable news producers nationwide to begin hyperventilating into paper bags.

Trump later explained that conquering the island remained his preferred option.

“We are talking to them, and all, but you know, look, my preference has always been — take Kharg Island … my preference would be that,” he said on “Fox and Friends.”

“I don’t know that America has the stomach for it.”

Political analysts immediately translated the statement to mean, “Trump still wants the win, but he also remembers Americans get cranky when their sons are deployed to defend democracy in places they can’t find on a map.”

Meanwhile, Iran appeared to respond to the agreement with the traditional diplomatic strategy of denying the agreement exists at all.

“An informed source told FNA Iran has not approved any draft agreement or initial memorandum with the US, contradicting President Donald Trump’s claim that Tehran agreed to a finalized text,” Iran’s Fars News Agency posted to X.

Observers noted this marks approximately the 38th time Trump has declared an Iran deal “close,” though supporters insist that unlike previous administrations, at least this time America bombed something before negotiating.

At press time, CNN was reportedly preparing a seven-part special explaining why peace in the Middle East is actually bad news for democracy.

A Middle East Meltdown Over Mere Towels: No Israelis Required

One might have thought, in these endlessly fractious sands of the Arab world, that every diplomatic dust-up required the ritual invocation of the Zionist bogeyman. Yet here we have a spectacle so exquisitely absurd it redefines the very lexicon of grievance: a row between Iraq and Jordan over pilfered linens from a hotel bathroom, which lends an unintended literalism to that old, unflattering epithet hurled at keffiyeh-clad gentlemen of being "towel-heads."

The full farce is chronicled with admirable restraint in the Jerusalem Post.

Picture the scene: an Iraqi diplomat, one Zainab Okla Al-Saadi, departs the opulent Fairmont Hotel in Amman, only to find herself ensnared in a scandal that would make even the most petty of hotel housekeepers blush. The establishment levels the charge of filching "towels and other items" from her suite, a transgression so banal it might ordinarily warrant nothing more than a discreet billing adjustment. But no: Iraq's Foreign Affairs Ministry has seized upon the matter with the gravity of a UN Security Council resolution, while an entire Iraqi tribe has waded into the fray. This, mind you, may rank as the most preposterous contretemps to bedevil Baghdad-Amman ties in a generation, outstripping even the usual fare of water rights or border skirmishes.

The diplomat, for her part, is having none of it. "Saadi denied the allegations, accusing hotel staff of stealing her belongings and car and deliberately trying to defame her," as the website 964media reports. She has called for a "transparent and fair investigation," and, to drive the point home with theatrical flair, brandished a towel of her own during a television interview, as if to say: Behold, madam has her own supply; yours are safe, you perfidious Jordanians.

Ah, but the sin of souvenir-swiping from hotel rooms is no mere Iraqi vice; it is a global affliction, etched into the annals of human frailty with all the profundity of a guest pilfering the complimentary shampoo. Some limit themselves to the soaps, those tiny, perfumed talismans of transience. Others graduate to towels or even the occasional bathrobe, draped like a conqueror's cloak. As Travel Weekly Asia soberly attests, towels vanish from hotel inventories with alarming frequency. Nor does the larceny end there: televisions, minibars, coat hangers, all fall prey to the wandering hand. One study claims that nearly 80% of hotels suffer this terry-cloth attrition.

In Iraq, however, the towel banditry assumes epidemic proportions. "Towel thefts are rampant in Iraq," Al Arabiya declares, as if diagnosing a national pathology. The ministry, ever vigilant, is now probing not just the alleged crime but the very leak of the story itself, which has inflamed this terry-towel tempest. "It has taken the initiative to form an investigation committee to look into the circumstances of the matter and verify all its details in accordance with the approved legal and administrative frameworks."

Ms. Saadi, undeterred, has escalated her missive to the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan, Omar al-Barzanji, and straight to the Foreign Ministry, bewailing "the theft of towels from a prominent hotel in Amman." In her public pleas, she beseeches "immediate intervention from the ministry and the Iraqi prime minister," as though the republic's survival hinged on the swift retrieval of a few damp rags.

Could this, against all odds, burgeon into a full-blown diplomatic rupture?

Unlikely, yet precedents whisper otherwise. Recall the last such indelible rift: in 1995, two sons-in-law of Saddam Hussein, Hussein Kamel Hassan and Saddam Kamel Hassan, fled to Jordan with the despot's daughters in tow. Lured back to Baghdad a year later, they met the traditional Iraqi welcome for defectors: a hail of bullets.

Back in the cradle of civilization, the towel saga shows no sign of drying out. Ms. Saadi enjoys the unyielding backing of the Al-Sawaed clan, that tribal bulwark against such calumnies. One shudders to imagine the blood feud that might ensue were the Fairmont to press charges. In the end, this is no trifling matter of terry cloth. It is a crusade for the dignity of Iraq, and, indeed, of every globe-trotting soul who has ever palmed a hotel soap with a flicker of illicit thrill. Pride, that most combustible of Arab virtues, hangs by a thread here. And in the Middle East, as we know all too well, even the flimsiest filament can ignite a conflagration.

Joy Reid goes full Iran apologist on CNN but then this happened

Joy[less] Reid, the miserable ex-MSNBC leftist, just took a wild swing on CNN, defending Iran of all places after Trump dropped a weekend surprise on their nuclear sites. Yeah, that Iran. The one with a rap sheet longer than a Costco receipt for sponsoring terror and chaos.

Things got spicy fast on CNN’s Newsnight Tuesday, and Reid was serving up takes hotter than a Legionnaire's butt on the Sahara in the middle of summer.

CNN contributor Brad Todd came out swinging, laying it down plain: “Iran-backed militias that attacked the United States forces 170 times in Syria, in Jordan and in Iraq. You know who said that? Joe Biden said that. That’s why he authorized F-15 strikes against Iran.”

Bahdahboom! Facts on the table.

But Reid? She a dolt and wasn’t having it. Brushing off Biden like he’s yesterday’s news, she sneered, “I don’t look to former President Joe Biden as a moral authority because he has allowed Israel in an unrestrained manner to slaughter Palestinians in Gaza.”

Oh, we’re going there, eh? Reid doubled down, spinning a yarn about why Iran’s chasing nukes: “The bottom line here is the way that we know that Iran did not have nuclear weapons is that if they had nuclear weapons, Israel would not attack them. The reason they’re trying to get nukes, and probably Saudi Arabia is trying to get them, is because an expansionist power in their region keeps threatening them and actually bombs them.”

She's putting the cart before the horse, in a sense. The obvious truth is what Iran has said all along, and that's a little chant calling for death to Israel, and yes, America too.

Then Reid went full bird-brain: “I don’t think it’s okay that Israel has nukes either. And so the bottom line is, Israel does not even subject its nuclear weapons to the IAEA. And so my question is, should anyone in the region have nukes?”

Alright, Joy, slow down. You’re out here sounding like you’re auditioning for a UN debate club and didn't even bring your notes.

Host Abby Phillips wasn’t letting that slide, stepping in with a reality check: “Joy, this is not just about nukes. It’s also about Iran being a state sponsor of terrorism and chaos and violence and death around the world. So, I mean, there’s that too.”

Then Arthur Aidala piled on, calling out Reid for stanning a regime that “slaughters gay people and kills others for their religious beliefs.” Reid, too stupid to back down, fired back: “LGBTQ people can't even serve in the military under the president you prefer.”

Aidala wasn’t having it, clapping back, “We're not killing them!”

Reid kept digging: “They’re allowed to live, but they’re not allowed to serve in the United States military. They’re being persecuted. They can’t have their stories told in school. The United States is not exactly a beacon of rights for gay people.” Okay, Joy, comparing the U.S. to Iran’s death squads? That’s a stretch even for you. Aidala called her out for the false equivalence, and the panel was basically a cage match at this point.

And yes, LGBTQ people can openly serve in the military, but don't expect the military to do the genital mutilation for them. The "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy was repealed in 2011 and since then openly gay, lesbian and bisexual people can serve. In 2021, the Department of Defense lifted the ban on transgender individuals serving openly, allowing them to serve in their identified gender, provided they meet military standards.

This wasn’t the first time we’ve heard this tune. Just last week, The View’s Whoopi Goldberg tried a similar flex, claiming the U.S. in 2025 is basically Iran for Black folks. “Not if you're Black,” she insisted when co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back, with Sunny Hostin chiming in, “not for everybody.”

The hyperbole is strong with this mentally challenged crew.

Reid’s still stinging from MSNBC canning her show earlier this year, and she has a theory: her Gaza coverage and relentless Trump-bashing got her the boot. Shocker, right? The far-left flamethrower thinks speaking “truth to power” cost her the gig. Maybe, Joy, it’s just that people got tired of the hot takes that sound like they’re scripted by a Reddit thread.

So, there you have it—Reid out here caping for Iran, sparring with CNN’s finest, and leaving us all wondering: what’s next, a fan letter to the ayatollah? Stay tuned, because this drama’s far from over.

Ultra Orthodox lawmaker was the man behind rescue of Israelis on Jordan border

United Torah Judaism Knesset member Moshe Roth. (Knesset)

In the early hours of Saturday, when most people are asleep, an ultra-Orthodox Knesset member, Moshe Roth, orchestrated a daring rescue of Israelis stranded in the perilous wilds of Jordan, as reported by Israel National News.

These were not mere travelers but families caught in a Kafkaesque nightmare, their flight from Larnaca to Aqaba delayed until midnight, leaving them at the mercy of a border shuttered since 8 p.m. Jordan, a land now so hostile to Israelis that it bears a Level 4 travel warning, offered no solace, except for the rare exception of rescue flights permitted to land in Aqaba, a lifeline for those fleeing to a homeland where Ben-Gurion Airport lies largely dormant.

Roth, a disciple of the Sanz Hasidic movement and a voice for United Torah Judaism, received a desperate call late Friday night. The Sabbath’s sanctity might have bound lesser men, but Roth, grasping the mortal peril facing these unguarded families, acted with the urgency of a man who knows history’s cost. He rallied his comrade, Deputy Transportation Minister Uri Maklev, alongside security officials and the Foreign Ministry’s Situation Room. The diplomatic machinery whirred to life: a Jordanian officer was roused from sleep, the crossing flung open, and the families, escorted by Jordanian police, crossed into Israel at 3 a.m., a mere breath from Eilat’s safety.

“In the end, the ones who took action, made the effort, and cared were the Knesset members from United Torah Judaism,” one of the rescued declared. “It didn’t matter to them who was stranded:  religious, secular, young people, or families. They gave us genuine help without asking questions; their only concern was to help Jews in distress.”

Such words cut through the cynicism of our age, revealing a truth too often buried; that in moments of crisis, identity and duty can still bind a people.

Roth, born in New York, carries the weight of his grandfather’s suffering, a Holocaust survivor beaten near to death “because of his Jewish identity.” In his first Knesset address in January 2023, he spoke of this as a “fundamental” force, a call to fortify the Jewish soul of the nation. Now, as head of the Knesset’s Ethics Committee, he has shown that such words are not mere rhetoric but a creed lived in the dark hours when lives hang in the balance.

Am Yisrael Chai!

Trump wants Arab nations to take on more Gaza Arabs

President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he wants to resettle residents of the Gaza Strip in Arab countries, shaking up Middle East diplomacy in his unique way.

Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he had asked King Abdullah II of Jordan in a phone call earlier in the day to "take people" from war-torn Gaza and planned to make a similar request to Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in a phone call on Sunday. Trump suggested that mass emigration from the strip, whether "temporarily" or "long term," could help resolve "centuries" of conflict.

"You’re talking about a million and half people, and we just clean out that whole thing. You know over the centuries it has had many, many conflicts, and I don’t know, something has to happen," Trump said. "But it's literally a demolition site right now, almost everything is demolished and people are dying there. So I'd rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing at a different location where [Gazans] can maybe live in peace for a change."

The response from Israel was notably muted, and even politicians who have advocated Gazan emigration told media outlet Washington Free Beacon that Egypt and Jordan were unlikely to agree to Trump’s requests. However, some right-wing politicians hailed the proposal as a chance to break away from the traditional U.S. call for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"For years, politicians have proposed impractical solutions like dividing the land and establishing a Palestinian state, which endangered the existence and security of the world’s only Jewish state, leading only to bloodshed and suffering for many. Only out-of-the-box thinking and new solutions will bring about peace and security," Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich said in a statement. "I will work closely with the prime minister and the cabinet to ensure that there is an operational plan to implement this as soon as possible."

Ohad Tal, a member of Israel’s parliamentary defense committee from Smotrich’s Religious Zionism party, told the Free Beacon that Trump’s remarks had given a major boost to the "only logical and just solution" to the conflict.

"It will allow the Palestinians who leave to build a better future for themselves somewhere else, and it will minimize the conflict here, which is good for everyone," said Tal, who has advocated Gazan emigration to Trump associates. "It’s good for Israel, it’s good for the region, and it’s good for the Americans, who don’t want to have to be bothered by the Palestinians starting a war every couple years."

Palestinian, Jordanian, and Egyptian leaders on Sunday reaffirmed their opposition to any large-scale resettlement of Palestinians.

"We call on the U.S. administration to cease these proposals, which align with Israeli plans and directly contradict the rights and free will of our people," Hamas, the dominant Palestinian terrorist group in Gaza, said in a statement. "We also call on Arab and Islamic countries, especially our brothers in Egypt and Jordan, to reaffirm their steadfast positions in rejecting displacement and expulsion."

President Mahmoud Abbas of the West Bank Palestinian Authority "expressed strong rejection and condemnation of any projects aimed at displacing our people from the Gaza Strip," according to a statement from his office that did not specifically refer to Trump.

Jordanian foreign minister Ayman Safadi said in a statement, "Our rejection of the displacement of Palestinians is firm and will not change. Jordan is for Jordanians and Palestine is for Palestinians."

While Egypt did not publicly comment, Saudi news station Al Hadath reported on Sunday that Sisi remained firmly opposed to accepting any Gazans into his country.

Despite the rejections of the Arab leaders, Tal voiced confidence that ordinary Gazans would be ready to leave the strip and that Trump—who has often used bold threats to win concessions from foreign interlocutors—could find countries willing to take them.

"It takes courage to execute new ideas," Tal said. "But I think Trump is someone who has proven he can implement these kinds of ideas."

Amit Halevi, another member of the defense committee from the ruling Likud party, told the Free Beacon that Israel should work with Trump to enable and encourage hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to leave Gaza, particularly young adults.

"They have no future under the Hamas regime," he said. "They want to get out. Let them get out."

Once considered mostly by Israel’s far right, the idea of facilitating Gazan emigration went mainstream after the events of October 7, 2023, when Hamas terrorists and ordinary Palestinians conducted a massacre and mass abduction in southern Israel, starting a war that left much of Gaza in ruins.

That November, Ram Ben Barack of the centrist Yesh Atid party and Danny Danon, then a Likud lawmaker and now Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, co-wrote a Wall Street Journal op-ed calling on "countries around the world to accept limited numbers of Gazan families who have expressed a desire to relocate."

The following month, Israeli prime minister Netanyahu told a Likud faction meeting, "Our problem is [finding] countries that are willing to absorb Gazans, and we are working on it."

However, in January, several Israeli officials, facing U.S. and European criticism, spoke out against their colleagues' calls for Gazan immigration, saying the idea was unrealistic and damaging to Israel’s international standing.

"It’s clear that there is nobody in Israel who wouldn’t be happy if Gazans decided to emigrate voluntarily if they were happy to leave," but that is not going to happen and public discussion of the issue is unhelpful, Likud Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar told Israel’s Ynet news site at the time. "We see the repercussions, we see what happened with the Americans."

Gilad Kariv, from the left-wing Democrats party, was one of the few Israeli officials to publicly oppose Trump’s proposal on Sunday.

"Israel has no interest in this happening," Kariv told Israel’s 103FM radio, "certainly not in relation to Jordan because the stability of the Hashemite Kingdom is a clear security interest of Israel."

Israel Under Attack by Iran: latest information

On Saturday night into early Sunday morning, Israel was the target of over 350 Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps-fired weapons. These weapons included rockets, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), and special missiles such as Cruise missiles.

The initial estimated totals of some of these weapons are 185 UAVs., 36 Cruise missiles, and 110 ballistic missiles. However, the number of weapons has grown and some of Israel's defense systems were tested for the first time under real fire.

Zero UAVs and Cruise missiles reached Israel while a handful of ballistic missiles did, injuring a 7-year-old girl and damaging an IAF base in Negev. The child is in the hospital in intensive care and the attack on the air base did not cause operations on the base to stop.

Due to the distance between Iran and Israel, it takes about two hours for a UAV to reach the Jewish State as they are slow moving and when spotted, sitting suicide ducks. Most were destroyed over Jordan, Iraq, and Syria, by the U.S., Israeli, UK, French and Saudi Arabia.

Iran has switched to a deadlier drone known as the Sahab 238, replacing the 136 model used by the Russians against Ukraine. The 238 is faster but it turned out to be no match for Israel's newest air defense systems known as David's Sling and Arrow. Both systems were tested in combat for the first time and did a great job of dashing Iran's hopes of killing Jews.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said of the attack by Iran, "We intercepted; we stopped it, we will win."

Israel's war cabinet will be meeting to discuss future plans in the war.

President Biden called for a G7 conference call to discuss whatever his handler tells him to discuss and will be written out for him on official White House index cards. The nations include, UK, U.S., France, Japan, Germany, Italy, and even Canada, eh.

While it may surprise some that Jordan and the Saudis helped Israel in the attack by Iran, both Turkey and Qatar asked for restraint by the Shi'a nation.

Uh oh, the Houthis vow revenge and proportionate response after US, UK strike again in Yemen

Following the Sunday U.S. and U.K. airstrike in Yemen, the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists, aka Ansar Allah, have vowed 'escalation' hopefully in the form of a proportionate response, like that of President Biden, so that things don't get out of hand and cause a war.

Although the U.S. and U.K. sent fighter jets and B1 bombers to destroy Houthi targets, the terror group does not have the same air power and proportionate responses will be hard to accomplish. They do, however, have small, domestically-manufactured drones, they like to call "Qasef" drones. These little babies have been used by the Houthis [and the Blowfish] in attacks on targets in Saudi Arabia's military bases, airports, and oil facilities.

A Houthi spokes terrorist vowed to keep up the good fight and plans will remain in place to disrupt regional trade, "no matter the sacrifices it costs us." Because all good terrorists go to Jannah, collect 72 virgins and get to drink along the shores of rivers of wine.

"The US-British coalition’s bombing of a number of Yemeni provinces will not change our position, and we affirm that our military operations against Israel will continue until the crimes of genocide in Gaza are stopped and the siege on its residents is lifted, no matter the sacrifices it costs us," Houthi spokesman Mohammed al-Bukhaiti bravely tweeted.

"Our war is moral, and if we had not intervened to support the oppressed in Gaza, humanity would not have existed among humans. The American-British aggression against Yemen will not go unanswered, and we will meet escalation with escalation," he added.

Since the pond scum killed three of our soldiers in Jordan, tensions have been very high. It is believed that President Biden may have said something about an ongoing response but it was difficult to make out his words. He mumbled something about targeting Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria then attempted to find his way offstage.

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan, who is gay, also refused to rule out the possibility of carrying out strikes within Iran in the near future on Sunday because he doesn't want to start any trouble.

Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah are also high and could lead to another front in Israel's current war against the Hamassholes that the latter started on October 7.  The Jewish State made it clear that if push came to shove, they would not hesitate to invade in order to protect themselves.

"We do not choose war as our first priority, but we are certainly prepared," IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said. "We will continue to act wherever Hezbollah is present, we will continue to act wherever it is required in the Middle East. What is true for Lebanon is true for Syria, and is true for other more distant places."

He added: "The Holocaust was real, but the Jews aren't so easy to f*** with anymore."

Biden finally responds to Iranian-backed strike that killed 3 US troops

Alleged President Biden has finally decided to respond to the drone strike that killed three of our service personnel over the weekend in a Jordan outpost. Without going into the tedious effort to honor our fallen heroes, Biden made it abundantly clear, that he does not want to expand the conflict in the Middle East, and our enemies are well aware of that fact.

Dementia Joe told reporters, as he left the White House amid the loud and chaotic noise of Marine One revving nearby, that he was indeed determined to answer the Sunday drone attack.

“I don’t think we need a wider war in the Middle East. That’s not what I’m looking for,” he shouted.

It reminded me of my Uncle Harry who, after the city had sent him a dog license renewal form began to fill it out while my Aunt Rose told him, "Harry, don't do it--the dog is dead. Parfait died last year, Harry," to which Harry replied, "Rose, I don't want any trouble."

Asked whether he holds Iran responsible for the soldiers’ deaths, Biden said, “I do hold them responsible in the sense that they’re supplying the weapons to the people who did it.” [H/T NY Post.]

In the sense that? Isn't that enough, Joe?

Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, 46, Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, were killed while over 40 US personnel were wounded in the attack, the latest in the slew of anti-American Iranian proxy operations in Syria, Iraq and off the coast of Yemen following the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel.

This was the 165th attack on American forces and we responded 5 times! This puts American lives at risk because Iran knows Biden is weak and cowardly.

"Re-elect Biden! Re-elect Biden!"

Republicans are calling on him to get on his feet and retaliate somehow, certainly beyond a mush-mouthed response that means nothing but weakness to our enemies.

It's obvious Biden, an old 81, holds little regard for our military.  You might remember when he checked his watch no less than three times at a military funeral for the 13 service members killed at Abbey Gate, in the Afghanistan evacuation, as the bodies were unloaded on the tarmac. It was Biden's refusal to go with military advice that the lesser secure airport was used in this operation, while Bagram air base would have been the more secure choice.

And Biden called the evacuation an immense success, because for him, even going up or down a flight of stairs with doing a header, is an immense success.

And let us not forget that it was Biden, the only member of Obama's inner circle to voted agains going after Osama bin Laden after the CIA found him. See, Biden did not trust the US Navy SEALs.

The farther left in his Democrat Party is worrying out loud that Old Joe is going to get us into another war, like every modern president has except former President Trump.

Biden's main strategy is probably best categorized as "patient indifference." He refused to do anything about the Chinese electronics surveillance balloon and until now, he has done nothing to dissuade Iran-backed Islamists from attacking us.

If it has nothing to do with his political gain, Biden is indifferent.

But this is an election year and Biden has now claimed that he has examined a number of targets to hit and had decided to attack, possibly in the next few hours. But he whispered to the press: "Sshh. Don't tell Iran."

UPDATE on Iran-backed attack: 3 dead, 34 US military injured, 8 evacuated from Jordan

After Iran-backed militias killed three U.S. servicemen and injured dozens more in an overnight attack on a military base in northeast Jordan, the number of injured continues to climb.

By late Sunday, the number of injured grew to 34 service members, eight of whom had to be evacuated from Jordan to a higher level of care. The evacuees are believed to be in stable condition at this time.

Most of the injured have undergone traumatic brain injury, but the actual number of cases will probably increase as TBI symptoms often take time to appear.

The attack targeted the logistics support base at Tower 22 of the Jordanian Defense Network where around 350 U.S. Army and Air Force. personnel are deployed to counter ISIS terrorists.

Names of those injured are being withheld until 24 hours after their families have been notified.

Later Sunday, President Biden mumbled that the U.S. "shall respond" to the attacks. In a written statement, Biden allegedly said the U.S. "will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner (of) our choosing."

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, back after his AWOL stint said, "we will take all necessary actions to defend the United States, our troops, and our interests."

Meanwhile, many Republicans immediately called on our confused President to take Iran out in back of the gym.

Predictably, Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said on X: “Hit Iran now. Hit them hard,”

“When the Biden Administration says ‘don’t’, the Iranians ‘do’. The Biden Administration’s rhetoric is falling on deaf ears in Iran,” he added. “Iran is undeterred. The only thing the Iranian regime understands is force. Until they pay a price with their infrastructure and their personnel, the attacks on U.S. troops will continue.”

The White House confirmed Sunday that the deadly attack took place Saturday evening and was the result of a drone strike from “radical Iran-backed militant groups” in the region.

President Biden later claimed at a campaign stop in South Carolina that the US would retaliate.

“We shall respond,” he mush-mouthed to people at Brookland Baptist church.

“We had a tough day in the Middle East. We lost three brave souls,” Biden said, asking for a moment of silence.

Republicans correctly highlighted Biden's impotent policies in the Middle East and his loss of most cognitive abilities, as well as those of his DEI hires, Vice President Kamala Harris and his White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“The Biden administration’s failed Middle East policy has destroyed our deterrence against adversaries in the Middle East,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said in a statement.

“We need a major reset of our Middle East policy to protect our national security interests and restore deterrence.”

Former President Trump and current presidential candidate jumped on the bandwagon: “The drone attack on a U.S. Military Installation in Jordan, killing 3 American service members, and wounding many more, marks a horrible day for America,” he wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. “This brazen attack on the United States is yet another horrific and tragic consequence of Joe Biden’s weakness and surrender.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK) highlighted a deal the Biden administration cut with Iran to issue a waiver for sanctions on $6 billion in frozen Iranian assets in exchange for the release of five American detainees last year, the New York Post reported.

“Joe Biden emboldened Iran for years by tolerating attacks on our troops, bribing the ayatollahs with billions of dollars, and appeasing them to no end. He left our troops as sitting ducks,” Cotton said in a statement.

“The only answer to these attacks must be devastating military retaliation against Iran’s terrorist forces, both in Iran and across the Middle East. Anything less will confirm Joe Biden as a coward unworthy of being commander-in-chief.”

Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) posted on X, “The President needs to order a clear, lethal and overwhelming response that demonstrates to Iran and to the world that whoever targets our men and women in uniform—or supports these attacks—will face the full might of the U.S. military.”

Meanwhile, the Biden administration is still gathering facts about the strike and have promised the American people that they will have answers come late October or so.

3 U.S. service members killed, 25 injured in Jorday by Iranian-backed scumcrumpets

It was only a matter of time for Americans to be killed by Iranian-backed forces. Three were killed and 25 were wounded in an attack Saturday night in northeast Jordan close to the Syrian border, according to officials.

The terrorists hit a small American outpost and this marked the first time our troops have been killed by enemy fire since conflict began after October 7 attack on Israel, or by Joe Biden's administration evacuation plans from Afghanistan.

“While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iran,” President Biden allegedly wrote in a statement.

“The three American service members we lost were patriots in the highest sense,” Biden yelled. “ We will carry on their commitment to fight terrorism. And have no doubt — we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner [of] our choosing.”

And let us never forget to have our hearts go out to the families, because that's what people say for some reason.

Three US service members were killed following a drone attack on Saturday night in northeast Jordan.

It remains unclear how the unmanned drone launched at the American base, known as Tower 22, was able to hit the US base. Previous such attacks have been shot down by air defense systems.

The attack comes just a week after four American soldiers were examined for potential traumatic brain injuries from a ballistic missile and rocket attack at the Al-Asad Air Base in Iraq while our military sniffs their index fingers for some reason.

Before Saturday’s attack in Jordan, there had been more than 158 attacks on US and allied forces in Iraq and Syria, according to the Comedy News Network. And still they keep sniffing their fingers, some sniffing hair, while nothing substantial is being done by the most deadly military on the planet with the most dead-headed commander in chief.

Angry Hamassholes threaten to bomb Tel Aviv if prisoner starves himself to death: he will be

Islamic terrorist Hisham Abu Hawash has been on a hunger strike for 141 days and had he died in the Israeli prison where he is being held, the Islamic Jihad had threatened that "his death will lead to the bombing of Tel Aviv," because there's no way to say that all human life is precious than to kill as many innocent Jews as you can.

But fortunately for all involved, the bombing of innocent Jews by the Islamic Jihad, a mostly peaceful organization that only kills when it gets bored, will not happen. An agreement has been reached in which Israel and negotiators from Hamas and Islamic Jihad were successful. Jordan was also reportedly involved in the negotiations.

Abu Hawash was last arrested in late October. He is an Islamic Jihad operative, which means he's a terrorist who may or may not have been directly involved with killing Jews. He has been detained in Israel for eight years total, and of this time, 52 months were in administrative detention.

The release for Abu Hawash is scheduled for February 26th of this year when his detention time is over. Israel has not disclosed the reason they are releasing him but it's a good bet that it had little or nothing to do with Islamic Jihad's threat to bomb Tel Aviv.

Abu Hisham, 40, is from the village of Dura near Hebron.

BLM supports Hamas against Israel

Black Lives Matter (BLM) has declared its "solidarity" with Palestinians and thereby the Hamassholes the Palestinians elected, in the quest to kill every last Jew on Earth, but first destroy Israel.

BLM's official Twitter account said that it "always will be" partnered with the cause of "Palestinian liberation," whatever that means. People from so-called Palestine, a place that is not actually a country.

In 1917, during the First World War, the British army occupied Jerusalem. On Nov. 2, 1917, British foreign secretary Arthur James Balfour issued he Balfour Declaration for "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people."

After the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire in 1918, the San Remo conference, held on April 19, 1920, was convened by four WWI Allied Powers: Britain, France, Italy and Japan. They adopted the Mandate for Palestine which specified that Palestine will be responsible for carrying out the Balfour Declaration for the establishment of the Jewish State.

By 1922, England allocated almost 80 percent of Palestine to Transjordan [although the men identified as men, and the women as women--there were no Jordanian transgenders]. Thus, Jordan covers the majority of the land of Palestine under British Mandate. Jordan also includes the majority of the Arabs who lived there. In other words, Jordan is the Arab portion of Palestine.

In 1923, the modern Republic of Turkey signed the Lausanne Treaty which agreed to transfer territories (including Palestine) to the control of the British Empire. So Israel, the Biblical land of the Jews, was under British control.

Under their rule, the residents of Palestine were called "Palestinians." Since Palestine included both modern day Israel and Jordan, BOTH Arab and Jewish residents of this area were referred to as "Palestinians." The Arabs had not cornered the market on the term.

It was only after the Jews re-inhabited their historic homeland of Judea and Samaria, after they won the Six-Day War, that the myth of an Arab Palestinian nation was created and marketed worldwide.

So, to be clear, Jews come from Judea, not Palestinians.

To deny the historical tie of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel, Arabs began using the name "West Bank" for the territories that were known as Judea and Samaria, you know, where the Jews came from.

There is no language known as Palestinian. Not so ironically, in Arabic even the letter "p" does not exist.

There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. There is no flag, no language and definitely no history.

The rebirth of Israel was accompanied by economic prosperity for the region. Arabs migrated to this area to find employment and enjoy a higher standard of living.
Even the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Yassar Arafat, was not a "Palestinian," the Nobel Peace Prize winning terrorist was actually born in Egypt.

But historical facts were never things to stop anti-Semites from making false claims and perpetrating their hatred of the Jewish People. Evidently, BLM fits in that category.

“Black Lives Matter stands in solidarity with Palestinians. We are a movement committed to ending settler colonialism in all forms and will continue to advocate for Palestinian liberation. ( always have. And always will be ),” the organization ignorantly, but loudly said.

There are others in Congress like Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) who praised Palestinian activists and who overtly denounce Israel. Bush, by the way, is a piece of human garbage who previously called for the death of police officers and on Twitter.

Individual Black Lives Matter organizations have also declared their own allegiance to Hamassholes and its causes. BLM of Patterson, New Jersey, was perhaps the most vocal, issuing a lengthy statement on the “occupation” and calling Israel a “repressive apparatus.”

So Hamas fires thousands of rockets into Israel's civilian areas and somehow Israel is the "repressive apparatus?"

What the Far-Left hates the most is that Israel is fighting back.

Lastly, BLM is also heavily involved with the explicitly anti-Semitic Boycott-Divest-Sanction, or BDS, movement, which calls for countries to strand Israel politically and cut off trade. They believe if you can't blow them up, starve them.

Scumcrumpets.

Terrorist who killed Israeli children and laughs about it, no longer subject of an Interpol warrant

Ahlam Tamimi is a Muslim woman terrorist whose hatred of Jews takes precedence over her entire existence. The jihadi was sentenced to 16 life sentences for murder, but was released in October 2011 in the Gilad Shalit prisoner swap.

Interpol has reportedly dropped its arrest warrant for Tamimi, in spite of her being one of the most notorious suicide bombings of the Second Intifada.

On Sunday, Arabic language media published a letter from the law enforcement agency, dated March 8, which stated that Tamimi is “no longer subject to Interpol notice.” The letter did not provide an explanation for the decision but you can bet it wasn't crafted by an Israeli.

Tamimi’s hot, sexy image was also removed from the “Most Wanted” section of the Interpol site.

Her husband, Nizar Tamimi, another scumbag, confirmed Interpol's development in a Facebook post, writing “Alhamdulillah" or "praise be to Allah."

In August 2001, Tamimi, not keen on blowing herself into little bite-size pieces, assisted in the planning and execution of the Sbarro pizza restaurant suicide bombing in Jerusalem. The blast killed 15 people, including eight children and a pregnant woman, and wounded 130.

Everyone has their own take on religion, but this take is evil. The Islamic scriptures need a thorough updating.

Jordanian-born Tamimi scouted out the location for the bombing and drove the suicide bomber, Izz al-din Al Masri to the restaurant where below-average pizza was served.

It’s widely believed that because she was a woman dressed in Western-style clothing, she deflected attention away from the bomber and helped him get past Israeli security officials who may have otherwise stopped him, a lesson in "don't believe all women."

Tamimi was interviewed while in prison and expressed no regret for the murders. When an Israeli journalist asked her if she was aware of how many children were killed in the bombing she smiled and said, "Three." When she was told that eight had been killed, the scum laughed and smiled broadly.

One victim, 15-year-old Malki Roth, held American citizenship. Her parents lobbied the U.S. government to push for a law permitting terrorists who murder Americans abroad to be prosecuted and incarcerated in the U.S.

Malki Roth

After Tamimi's release from prison, a $5 million reward was offered by the FBI for her capture and an arrest warrant was issued by Interpol. In June of last year, the U.S. issued an extradition request for the terrorist, but the Jordanian government refused to honor it.

“I do not regret what happened. Absolutely not,” she told Jordanian news site Ammon in 2012.

“I dedicated myself to Jihad for the sake of Allah, and Allah granted me success. You know how many casualties there were? This was made possible by Allah. Do you want me to denounce what I did? That’s out of the question. I would do it again today, and in the same manner.”

She's a real charmer.

This should tell you something about the religion of peace.

Jordan court dissolves their Muslim Brotherhood

Amman, Jordan -- Jordan's top court has finally dissolved their country's arm of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), a multinational jihadist organization hell-bent on creating a world caliphate where everyone left alive is a Muslim. The reason for the dissolution by Jordan was explained as the MB's failure to "rectify its legal status."

“The Court of Cassation yesterday [Wednesday, July 15] issued a final verdict ruling that the Muslim Brotherhood group is dissolved… for failing to rectify its legal status under Jordanian law,” the official said, requesting anonymity in order to avoid a personal beheading.

The Muslim Brotherhood, founded by Hassan al-Banna in Egypt in 1928, is a pan-Islamic movement with exclusively Muslim-charitable, and political arms.
Jordanian social distancing measures
According to the cowardly BBC, the most recent motto of the terrorist group is: "Islam is the solution." And according to Khalil Yusuf, an academic who did his best to trick us, he claimed the original motto "was traditionally"-- "Believers are but Brothers."

The real motto of the Muslim Brotherhood as per al-Banna and the members who don't want to discuss it is:
"Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."
When they mention dying, by the way, they aren't talking about changing the color of their clothes.

While the MB pretends to be peaceful, they have a long history of doing just the opposite--kind of like Antifa pretending to be anti-fascist. It opposed British rule in Egypt beginning in 1936 and was banned after being accused of violent murders, including the assassination of a Prime Minister. And the murders continued well after the Second World War.

The MB has faced years of pressure, especially in after the 2011 Arab Spring uprisings, and has been outlawed as a “terrorist” group in Egypt and banned in several other countries.

Amman had tolerated the group’s political arm for decades, but since 2014 authorities have considered it illegal, arguing its license was not renewed under a 2014 law on political parties, as a way of appeasing Islamists in the country who support the MB.

In spite of all this, the MB continued to operate, but its relations with the Jordanian state deteriorated further from 2015 when the government authorized an offshoot group, the Muslim Brotherhood Association.

In April 2016, government security services closed the MB’s Amman headquarters along with several regional offices, transferring their ownership to the splinter group in a step the movement denounced as political, but in reality was self-preservation at its core.

The original Brotherhood took the case to court in a bid to retrieve the properties, but the court in its verdict Wednesday ordered it dissolved.

The Brotherhood argues that it had already obtained licenses to operate under previous laws in the 1940s and 1950s — and stressed that it would appeal Wednesday’s ruling.

Sheikh Hamza Mansur, head of the organization’s ruling council, said the group would appeal against Wednesday’s ruling.

“The Muslim Brotherhood… is a model of moderation and an important element in strengthening national unity, so dissolving it is not in the national interest,” he told AFP in a bold lie known in Islam as taqiyya.

The breakaway group — the Muslim Brotherhood Association — aimed to sever ties with the Brotherhood in Egypt, where hundreds of supporters have been killed and thousands detained since the army ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.

Best guess is that if they don't get their way, things will get violent.

Arab League formally rejects U.S. policy change on Israel's land

Photo: Screen Shot/Reuters/Mohamed Abd El Ghany
Cairo -- On Monday the Arab League formally rejected a U.S. decision to no longer consider Israeli territory as settlements in spite of the fact that the areas being referred to on the West Bank are legally Israel's as per the Mandates system established by the League of Nations when the Ottoman Empire collapsed after World War One, and it was later agreed to by the United Nations once the former closed in 1946.

Several mandates were created exclusively for the Arabs but their appetite for land was, and still is, insatiable. France held the Mandate for Syria and Lebanon, while Great Britain held the Mandate for Iraq. The goal of the European powers was to guide the local populations to achieve independence.

It's not surprising that the Arab League would dispute history--they been doing it for decades, and while the Arab have managed to acquire 22 separate states, many more than any other people, but they still wanted the dismemberment of Israel and death to the Jews, and they treat non-Arab Muslims--the Kurds, Berbers, black Africans, with contempt or even violence and death.

The territory reserved for the Mandate for Palestine originally extended from the Golan in the north to the Gulf of Aqaba [in the south], and from an area east of the Jordan River “out into the desert” to the Mediterranean. The British then unilaterally decided that all the territory east of the Jordan — 78% of the original territory of the Mandate – would be closed to Jewish immigration, so that it would become part of the newly-created Emirate of Transjordan (later known as the Kingdom of Jordan).

The Palestine Mandate allowed the Jews 22% of the territory that was originally to have been included. A small sliver of the pie that ran from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean, and the Golan to the Gulf of Aqaba. That Mandatory territory, that was to have formed part of the future Jewish state, included all of what became known as the West Bank, what the Arab League likes to call the "settlements," as if Israel has no rights to it.

In the 1948-49 war, at the end of hostilities the Arab Legion of Jordan held onto those parts of Judea and Samaria west of the Jordan that the Jordanians soon renamed the “West Bank.”

In taking possession of the West Bank, Jordan did not establish a legal claim; it remained a military “occupier.” Israel had the legal claim to the West Bank but could do nothing about it until they won the Six-Day War.

According to judicial proceedings, the West Bank remained, as it had been under the Mandate, part of the Jewish National Home. After the Six Day War, in 1967, Israel did not establish a new legal claim, but merely became able, through force of arms, to enforce the claim it had always possessed.

Israel won, Jordan lost.

When Arabs [and some Democratic presidential candidates] call for an “end to the occupation” by Israel, the Jewish state has been completely out of Gaza since 2005. Gaza is not under any “occupation” nor could the West Bank have ever been "occupied" by Israel in any legal sense since it was hers to begin with, not to mention recent archeological findings of ancient Jewish cities in Israel that existed long before Islam existed.

And the West Bank could never have been “occupied” by Israel in a legal sense; it was always part of the territory assigned to the Mandate for Palestine, to be incorporated into the future Jewish National Home.

The Arab League's claim that the U.S. position is legally null and void is simply illegal, and ahistorical nonsense.
