IDF seizes huge Iran terror axis arsenal but the fingerprints on them are damning

Israel’s capture of a vast arsenal from Iran’s terror proxies reveals an axis with the most unexpected originsAmong the weapons taken from Hezbollah was a Nazi-era MG-34 machine gunFox News Digital was granted rare access to the Israel Defense Forces’ Tzrifin Base in central Israel. There, stored in careful order, lies a formidable collection of rockets, grenades, drones, sniper rifles, automatic weapons, anti-tank rocket launchers, mortars and assorted firepower seized from Hezbollah and Hamas.

This arsenal, manufactured in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, China, and by local workshops in Lebanon and Gaza, and even including a relic of the Nazi era, formed the machinery with which Hamas and Hezbollah waged war against Israeli civilians and the IDF after the October 7, 2023, massacre. 

The IDF notes that Hezbollah directed some of the same weapons against Lebanese civilians as well. Both groups belong to Iran’s so-called “axis of resistance.” Together they have killed more than 300 American citizens, according to available reports. 

At the height of the conflict Israel fought a multi-front war against Iran and its proxies. Tehran fired these weapons into civilian areas, including Tel Aviv and Be’ersheva. Days after the joint American-Israeli strikes on Iran in late February, the regime launched a ballistic missile into Beersheba, wounding 19 people.

To the untrained eye the small Nazi swastika emblem on a German Second World War MG-34 machine gun, recovered from a Hezbollah compound in Lebanon, is almost invisible. 

For Lieutenant Colonel (reserve) Idan Sharon-Kettler, commander of the IDF’s Captured Equipment Evacuation Unit, identifying such markings is routine. “The German MG-34 has the markings of an eagle carrying a swastika stamped on it,” he explained. The gun, he told Fox News Digital, appears to have served “propaganda or for morale” among the Iranian-backed terrorists in Lebanon. A second Nazi-era weapon, the MP 44 (also known as the StG 44), was likewise taken from Hezbollah.

Hamas and Hezbollah, both designated terrorist organizations by the United States, showed particular ingenuity in converting ordinary vehicles into instruments of high-intensity attack. Dual-use technology, equipment that serves civilian purposes one day and military ones the next, is their stock in trade. 

“Motorcycles like these took Israelis hostages,” Sharon-Kettler said, indicating an Egyptian Halawa Motors motorcycle captured inside Israel on 7 October. That day Hamas murdered more than 1,200 people, among them more than 40 American citizens, and abducted over 250 others. 

The IDF also recovered rockets belonging to Palestinian Islamic Jihad that had been employed as “propaganda dummies” in Gaza parades directed against Israel. From Hezbollah in Lebanon came all-terrain vehicles designed to carry rockets and fighters. One such ATV was fitted to hold six rockets complete with launchers. “You can sit on top of a hill and control a road that goes underneath. And with six anti-tank rockets you will stop almost any vehicle that passes,” Sharon-Kettler observed. 

In the broken, hilly terrain of southern Lebanon the vehicles offered obvious tactical advantages. 

Iranian-made mortars were found in quantity. “We found hundreds” in Lebanon, Sharon-Kettler said. Drones, including decoy models, were seized as well. Some of Hezbollah’s drones, according to Sharon-Kettler, exist chiefly “to make noise” and thereby “divert [IDF] resources.” 

Dozens of Iranian-produced cannons were taken from villages in southern Lebanon, the organization’s heartland. “In many houses the canons were pointing out of windows,” he reported. One of the captured pieces was of Russian manufacture. The storage halls also contain Russian AK-47 assault rifles in various configurations, together with more recent AK-103 and AK-104 models recovered in southern Lebanon. “Light sniper rifles, some made in Iran, some Russian, are very common with Hezbollah and Hamas,” Sharon-Kettler noted. 

Among the more unexpected finds was a highly decorated Turkish hunting rifle used by Hezbollah, as well as sophisticated Austrian Steyr sniper rifles, including the Steyr HS .50-calibre model. An Iranian-made replica of the Steyr was also displayed. Sub-machine guns of Chinese and Russian origin, and anti-tank launchers produced in Russia and Iran, completed the collection of small arms and support weapons.Uniforms manufactured in Syria, China and Lebanon, helmets, anti-shrapnel vests and medical kits further illustrate the professional and guerrilla equipment amassed by these groups. 

Both Hezbollah and Hamas embed their fighters among civilian populations, placing them inside residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools and mosques. This is how these terrorists operate, but it seems the Left doesn't like to discuss this situation.

Sharon-Kettler offered a blunt assessment of Israel’s continued presence in Lebanon. “Even after the agreement we had with the Lebanese army and government, once we entered Lebanon again, we kept finding everything that is here. For me, it means, if we are not doing the work to clean Lebanon from military entities targeting are civilians, nobody else is doing that.” He referred to the November 2024 ceasefire arrangement between Lebanon and Israel that was meant to end the fighting begun when Hezbollah joined Hamas’s war on 8 October 2023.

A State Department official, speaking on background, recently informed Fox News that the American-led effort to secure the disarmament of Hezbollah by the Lebanese government and a phased withdrawal of IDF forces from southern Lebanon continues. The next round of talks is scheduled for early September in Rome. “We feel good about the trajectory,” the official said, adding, “We are not naive about the difficulties. . . "

Hezbollah, of course, is trying to sabotage the process.

Trump Pauses Iran Strikes, Believes A Deal is Imminent

WASHINGTON, D.C. — After spending the morning threatening to turn Iran’s military infrastructure into a parking lot, President Trump abruptly announced Thursday afternoon that peace was back on the menu and the whole thing was “all wrapped up,” proving once again that Middle East diplomacy now operates like a New York real estate negotiation conducted entirely through Truth Social posts.

“We have a deal,” Trump reportedly told aides moments after allegedly green-lighting, canceling, then re-green-lighting a plan to seize Iran’s Kharg Island before finally deciding he preferred making headlines instead.

“Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others.”

Sources inside Washington confirmed several Pentagon officials were informed of the cancellation only after seeing the president’s post sandwiched between advertisements for gold coins and pillows.

The agreement reportedly includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz, renewed nuclear negotiations, and what experts are calling “the annual Middle East ceasefire that lasts somewhere between four hours and two weeks.”

“It’s pretty much all wrapped up,” Trump told The Post in a phone call that insiders say lasted roughly the same amount of time as one of his golf putts.

The sudden diplomatic breakthrough came just hours after Trump warned Iran he would strike them “VERY HARD TONIGHT” and floated plans to take over Kharg Island and “assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets.”

“At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela,” Trump wrote earlier Thursday morning, causing cable news producers nationwide to begin hyperventilating into paper bags.

Trump later explained that conquering the island remained his preferred option.

“We ⁠are talking ⁠to them, and all, but you know, ⁠look, my preference has always been — take ⁠Kharg Island … my preference would be that,” he said on “Fox and Friends.”

“⁠I don’t know that America has the stomach for it.”

Political analysts immediately translated the statement to mean, “Trump still wants the win, but he also remembers Americans get cranky when their sons are deployed to defend democracy in places they can’t find on a map.”

Meanwhile, Iran appeared to respond to the agreement with the traditional diplomatic strategy of denying the agreement exists at all.

“An informed source told FNA Iran has not approved any draft agreement or initial memorandum with the US, contradicting President Donald Trump’s claim that Tehran agreed to a finalized text,” Iran’s Fars News Agency posted to X.

Observers noted this marks approximately the 38th time Trump has declared an Iran deal “close,” though supporters insist that unlike previous administrations, at least this time America bombed something before negotiating.

At press time, CNN was reportedly preparing a seven-part special explaining why peace in the Middle East is actually bad news for democracy.

Erdogan Says Israel’s ‘Aggression’ Threatens Turkey, Entire Mediterranean Region, And Also His Own Long List Of Grievances

ANKARA—Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Wednesday that Israel’s continued existence poses an existential threat to Turkey, the Mediterranean, world peace, small puppies, and probably his approval ratings.

Erdogan also said there were initiatives, led by Israel, to destabilize the Mediterranean region and warned that "nobody should chase adventures" or join Israel's "boat of mischief." He was not referring to Greta Thunberg and her scumcrumpet voyagers.

The NATO member, which has spent years perfecting the art of being furious at Jews while cozying up to every Islamist troublemaker in the region, blasted Israel as the biggest obstacle to peace. Turkey has helpfully halted all trade with Israel and demanded the international community do something, preferably involving strongly worded letters and zero self-reflection.

"The attacks by (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu and his network of murder on Lebanon and Syria have brought the issue to a point where it also threatens Turkey," Erdogan told lawmakers from his ruling AK Party in parliament, and added that Ankara's security was tied to that of these two countries.

Erdogan also said Israel was leading a "sneaky effort" to destabilize African countries and the Mediterranean by igniting "the fire of discord" on the ethnically split island of Cyprus. "These small entities, whose ambitions far exceed their size, have boarded Israel's boat of mischief, taken on the role of Zionist subcontractors, and are pursuing some pipe dreams in the Eastern Mediterranean," he said, without elaborating, thinking his audience were idiots.

Turkey blames Israeli provocations for starting US-Iran war and for rainy days and Mondays.

"Nobody should chase adventures... I want everyone to know that if the rights of Turkey and Turkish Cypriots are violated in the Eastern Mediterranean, our response will be very clear and very strong."

Turkey, Iran's neighbor, has blamed Israel's "provocations" for starting the US-Iran war, because apparently nothing bad ever happens in the Middle East unless the Jews make it happen. Erdogan [who obviously read Surah Al-Ma'idah in the Qur'an] on Wednesday urged world powers to take a clearer stance against Israel, saying it was emboldened by the "silence of the international community."

"Pulling Israel back to within the bounds of the rule of law has become a shared duty not just for certain countries, but for all of humanity," he said.

Netanyahu hits back at 'anti-Semitic' Erdogan, 'oppressor,' genocide against Kurds. 

In an X/Twitter post, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hit back at Erdogan, saying, "The anti-Semitic dictator Erdoğan, who is committing genocide against the Kurds, backing the Hamas terrorist organization, oppressing his own people, and imprisoning his political rivals, is the last person who should be lecturing the State of Israel."

"The State of Israel and the IDF, the most moral military in the world, will continue to act decisively against Iran and its proxies, which threaten the Middle East and the entire world," Bibi added.

At press time, Erdogan was reportedly preparing a strongly worded speech about how only Turkey is allowed to have ambitions in the Mediterranean, because reasons.

Turkey, a NATO "ally" says Israel 'cannot live without hostility' then says Turkey may invade it

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Monday that Israel was seeking a new enemy and could soon set its sights on Turkey. Those remarks came just a day after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply escalated rhetoric by threatening possible military action against the Jewish state.

"After Iran, Israel cannot live without hostility," Fidan said during an extensive interview with the Turkish state-run news agency Anadolu. The Turkish minister accused Jerusalem of fostering "a new rhetoric" to justify its aggression in the region and declare Turkey an enemy.

The official further argued that this trend extended "not only to Netanyahu’s administration" but also "to certain figures within the Israeli opposition," though he did not specify whom he was referring to.

Fidan warned that Israeli military activity could next extend to Syria, where the IDF operated last year in what it said were efforts to protect the Druze minority in the south. He cautioned that such actions could create broader "risks" across the region. "Because of the ongoing war in Iran, [Israel] is not doing certain things right now," he said. "Later, when the time comes, it may want to act."

Fidan's comments follow remarks made on Sunday by Erdogan, suggesting that Ankara could soon choose to engage militarily with Israel.

At this rate, Turkey's next big diplomatic move will probably be demanding that Israel apologize for the Crusades while simultaneously shopping for new Ottoman Empire cosplay outfits. Classic NATO ally behavior.

Turkish boxer attacks Israeli opponent before bout then gets his butt kicked in two rounds

Israeli Muay Thai fighter Ahavat Hashem Gordon just dominated his Turkish opponent Ali Konyuncu in Kaunas, Lithuania, on Saturday night, February 21, 2026. Gordon remains undefeated and walked away with the win after only two rounds.

Muay Thai, aka Thai Boxing, is Thailand's national sport, consisting of full-contact striking martial arts, also known as "Art of Eight Limbs" [fists 2; elbows 2; knees 2; and shins/feet for kicks as 2].

The drama happened on Friday at the weigh-in. 

Gordon draped an Israeli flag over his shoulders as he faced off with Konyuncu. The two traded the usual trash talk threats that come with big fights. Then the Turk, Konyuncu lunged at Gordon's neck. Both guys got restrained fast, but they kept trying to break loose.

Even with people holding them back, Konyuncu still managed to land a kick to Gordon's midsection before they finally got separated. Video of the whole thing blew up on social media.

The actual fight however, told a different story.

First round was even. Nobody pulled ahead. In round two, Konyuncu hit Gordon with an uppercut, but Gordon fired back with a solid head shot that dropped him. When they got pulled apart, Konyuncu was bleeding heavily from a serious boo-boo on the side of his head. The judges called it right there and awarded the victory to Gordon.

Israel's Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar (Likud) posted on X late Saturday night: "Another brilliant victory for our Israeli fighter." And an embarrassing loss for a Turkish Muslim loser.

Gordon celebrated with the Israeli flag, and it's another proud moment for Israeli combat sports. Israel has turned out strong athletes in these disciplines for decades, like judokas Yael Arad and Oren Smadja who brought home Israel's first Olympic medals (silver and bronze) at the 1992 Summer Games. 

More judo medals have followed, and Israel sent top Muay Thai fighters like world champions Sarah Abraham and Nili Block to major competitions.

Turkey FM's Bizarre Charge: Mossad as Puppet-Master of Iran's Unrest, and Netanyahu's Supposed Hunger for Regional War

Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan has lately taken to the airwaves with a series of grave accusations against Israel, delivered in the measured yet insistent tone that has become his trademark. In an extended interview with Turkish television, he addressed the unfolding protests in Iran and the wider regional tensions they have exacerbated, directing his sharpest criticism at Jerusalem.

The minister contended that Israel, far from concealing its hand, is openly exploiting Iran’s internal difficulties, economic hardship above all, to undermine the Islamic Republic. "The Mossad is not hiding this," Fidan declared, referring to the protests. "They are calling on the Iranian people to rise up against the regime through their internet and Twitter accounts."

He drew a pointed contrast with earlier episodes of overt military confrontation, which, he observed, had the effect of rallying the Iranian public against external enemies. The present moment, he suggested, offers Israel a different and more insidious opportunity: to fan the flames of domestic discontent in the absence of active warfare.

Fidan went further, asserting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu harbors a keen desire to ignite a broader military conflict across the region, though only, he insisted, with the explicit blessing of the United States. "Everyone knows Netanyahu has such a desire; it's no secret," the foreign minister said. He alleged that no such adventure would proceed without firm guarantees from Washington, and pointed to Netanyahu's late-December visit to the White House as part of an ongoing effort to secure that all-important "green light."

Turning to the deeper causes of unrest within Iran, Fidan acknowledged the punishing weight of economic sanctions endured for nearly three decades, a burden he described as severe and structural. The Iranian people, he noted, especially the younger generations, are dynamic and sophisticated, hungry for prosperity and opportunity. Yet the sanctions have imposed formidable obstacles, fueling recurring waves of protest, from the mass demonstrations of 2019 and 2023 to the more contained disturbances of today. While these grievances are genuine, he argued, they are now being manipulated by Iran’s adversaries.

"Alongside the authentic reasons for protest, there is clear external manipulation by Iran's adversaries," he said.

On the diplomatic plane, Fidan positioned Turkey as a proponent of dialogue, intent on shielding Iranian civilians from harm and urging negotiations to ease tensions between Tehran, Washington, and other Western capitals. He warned that the imposition of preconditions on talks serves only to isolate Iran further, while conveniently furnishing justification for potential Israeli military action. A negotiated settlement, he maintained, is essential for regional stability, and would strip away what he termed the "international cover" for any strike by Israel.

In closing, the minister conveyed a message from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iran's leadership, calling on Tehran to turn the page in its relations with neighboring Arab states, to engage them with "genuine and sincere" intent, to set aside past grievances, and to shoulder its responsibilities toward the peoples of the region. He urged Iran to consider the possibilities of shared leadership in securing a more stable Middle East.

For his part, Israeli military analyst Alon Ben-David, writing recently in Maariv, took a cooler view of the Mossad's public interventions. He noted that a Persian-language account linked to the agency had tweeted at the outset of the unrest: "We are with you, the protesters, everywhere."

Later, the same account asserted that "thousands of activists in the Basij militia and security forces have joined the protesters," a claim subsequently deleted. Ben-David attributed these messages to the Mossad's psychological operations unit, now under the deputy director identified only as "A," a former contender for the agency's top position. He judged the tweets a display of poor judgment, with the deletion suggesting at least some internal second thoughts. Israel, he concluded, would do better to conduct itself with greater discretion. "The Mossad would be better served by operating more discreetly and tweeting less."

Such restraint, one might observe, appears increasingly elusive in the fevered atmosphere of the contemporary Middle East.

Pakistani DM wants Turkey to 'kidnap' Bibi Netanyahu

Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has called upon the United States and Turkey to carry out what can only be described as an act of international vigilantism: the abduction of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

Speaking on Geo TV, Pakistan's largest television channel, Asif branded Netanyahu "the worst criminal of humanity," a phrase so hyperbolic it might have been lifted from the most fevered corners of anti-Western propaganda. Of course, the real reason may have something to do with Bibi being Israeli and Jewish.

The remarks came in the immediate aftermath of the United States' capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, an event Asif appeared to regard as a convenient precedent. "Turkey may abduct Netanyahu, and we Pakistanis are praying for it," he declared, his words carrying the unmistakable weight of official endorsement.

Asif invoked the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court against Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in November 2024, insisting that nations must now enforce justice themselves. The ICC's action, he suggested, provided moral and legal cover for extraordinary rendition. He speculated openly about Turkey seizing Netanyahu and transporting him to Ankara, a fantasy that reveals far more about the speaker's worldview than it does about any realistic prospect of international law.

This outburst occurred during a live broadcast that ended abruptly: the anchor, sensing the perilous direction of the conversation, announced that Asif would not remain on air after the break. One can only imagine the discomfort in the studio as a senior minister of a nuclear-armed state casually advocated for the kidnapping of the leader of another sovereign nation.

Such rhetoric is not merely inflammatory; it is a symptom of a deeper malaise in parts of the Muslim world, where Israel is cast not as a state defending itself against existential threats but as the singular embodiment of evil, as Islamic scripture frames it.

Asif's claim that "no community has done what Israel has done to Palestinians in the last 4,000-5,000 years" collapses under even the slightest scrutiny, yet it persists because it serves a political purpose: to deflect from the failures of governance, the corruption, the sectarian strife that plague so many states in the region.

The deterioration in Israel-Turkey relations since 2024, marked by trade freezes and airspace closures, provides the backdrop for this fantasy of abduction, but it does nothing to justify it.

What we witness here is the normalization of extremism in high office: a defense minister openly wishing for the forcible removal of a democratically elected leader, cloaked in the language of human rights and international justice.

The civilized world must confront this for what it is: not a legitimate call for accountability, but a dangerous incitement that erodes the very norms Asif pretends to uphold. 

When ministers speak of kidnapping heads of government, the boundary between statecraft and terrorism begins to dissolve. And once dissolved, it is not easily restored.

Hamassholes cut off contact as escalation in Gaza a high probability

Well, folks, the Gaza situation just took a turn for the worse, and that's saying something. According to a report from Amichai Stein in The Jerusalem Post, the faint hope of a negotiated resolution with Hamas is fading faster than a mirage in the Negev. An Israeli source told the newspaper on Thursday that optimism is in short supply: "There is growing pessimism in Israel over the possibility that Hamas will show flexibility and return to the negotiating table." 

That's diplomatic speak for "we're nowhere close to a deal."

The vibe in Jerusalem is grim, with one Israeli official bluntly stating, "It now seems that an expanded military operation in Gaza is inevitable." Why? Because Hamas has gone radio silent. "Hamas has cut off contact,” another Israeli source said. "There are no real negotiations with them." That’s not just a snag; it's a brick wall disguised as a speed bump..

Adding fuel to the fire, Hamas is apparently ghosting its usual mediators. "Hamas has also partially severed ties with Qatar and Egypt," another official familiar with the talks told the Post. Instead, they’re cozying up to Turkey, with the source noting, "[A]t the moment, they are primarily engaged in talks with Turkey." 

Turkey, under Erdogan, isn't exactly known for playing nice with Israel, so this shift doesn’t bode well for de-escalation.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu huddled with US Envoy Steve Witkoff for a nearly three-hour talk in Jerusalem on Thursday. Part of it was a one-on-one, with the rest pulling in heavyweights like Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar. The result of the meeting shows that the US and Israel "are aligned" on their next steps against Hamas after the terrorist group cut off contact. 

They're gearing up for a response, and it's not likely to involve sending Hamas a fruit basket, but perhaps they'll send cell phones as gifts.

Witkoff's next stop is the humanitarian frontlines in Gaza, where he is expected to visit aid centers on Friday. "Witkoff intends to make sure there is no famine or deliberate starvation," an Israeli official said to the Post.

HONOR KILLING HORROR: Pregnant Teen Raped, Gunned Down by Fiancé in Cold Blood

Oya Budak, just 18, was already carrying a nightmare no one should endure. Violently raped in Istanbul, she was left pregnant by her attacker, a predator now locked away for his string of sexual assaults. But the real gut-punch came from the man she was supposed to marry. 

Her fiancé, a 19-year-old coward whose name doesn’t deserve ink, found out about the rape and the five-and-a-half-month pregnancy it left behind. He responded by firing a bullet to Oya’s chest and ear in a so-called “honor killing” that reeks of anything but.

The kid was lured to her death, conned into a meeting by her ex-fiancé’s crocodile tears, promising a heart-to-heart. Instead, he pulled a gun and ended her life in a flash of rage and betrayal. She was rushed to a hospital, chest torn open, but neither Oya nor her unborn child made it out alive. 

The suspect was nabbed by cops shortly after, reportedly spilling his guts in a confession that does nothing to wash the blood off his hands.“When she said she was in pain, her fiancé took her to the hospital and learned she was pregnant,” her grandfather, Orhan, told reporters, his voice no doubt cracking under the weight of grief. 

Even Oya’s own family hadn’t known about the rape or the pregnancy until it was too late. 

The killer’s family, spineless as their son, demanded he ditch the engagement, as if Oya’s suffering was her fault.This wasn’t just a murder, it was femicide number 209 in Turkey this year, a country where women’s lives are too often snuffed out by the men closest to them. 

In 2024 alone, 420 women were killed by partners, exes, or others in their inner circle, and the numbers keep climbing. Women’s groups are screaming into the void, accusing the fundamentalist government of looking the other way while blood stains the streets. They’re not wrong. 

On Sunday, the Governor’s Office had the gall to ban International Women’s Day protests and marches in Istanbul. But the women aren’t backing down. “We have walked for 19 years and will walk on the 20th year, too,” they declared, defiance burning through their words. 

They’re fighting not just for Oya, but for the growing number of young girls caught in this epidemic of violence, a crisis that’s become Turkey’s shame, debated in whispers and shouts across the nation. 

Oya Budak deserved better. She deserved a life, not a headline. But in a world where “honor” is a loaded gun, her story is another wound that won’t heal.

Turkish fighter jets confront Israeli fighters over Syria

In the skies above the Mediterranean, on April 19, 2018, Israeli F-35s sliced through the air, a gleaming display of martial prowess marking the 70th anniversary of Israel’s founding—an image captured with stark clarity by Reuters’ Amir Cohen. 

Now fast forward to a more turbulent scene, reported this Sunday by i24 News, where the heavens over Syria became a stage for a dangerous aerial ballet. Turkish opposition outlet Sözcü claims that Turkish F-16s, those blunt instruments of Ankara’s ambition, breached Syrian airspace over the weekend, barking “warning messages” at Israeli jets as they unleashed a barrage of strikes.

 
The Israel Defense Forces, with their characteristic cool composure, dismissed these reports as fiction. Yet Sözcü persists, framing the clash as part of Israel’s most ferocious campaign since the Assad regime’s collapse—a campaign that, per Turkish accounts, bloodied pro-Ankara militias like the Sultan Murad and Suleyman Shah brigades. 

These groups, tethered to Turkey’s geopolitical leash, found themselves in the crosshairs of Israeli firepower.

 
Turkey, it seems, is not content to watch from the sidelines. Reuters and various Turkish sources paint a picture of Ankara’s designs: a bold bid to cement its military footprint in Syria’s post-Assad chaos. Strategic airbases—T4 in Homs, another in Hama—are now targets for Turkish drones and air defense systems, a move to etch permanent lines of influence in the region’s shifting sands. 

But Israel, ever vigilant, allegedly struck T4 mere hours before a Turkish delegation arrived to survey it, reducing runways and control towers to rubble.

 
Ankara’s indignation is palpable. President Erdogan, never one to mince words, accuses Israel of upending the region’s fragile equilibrium, declaring that “Israeli attacks compromise the balance in the region since the fall of the Syrian regime.” 

One might ask: what balance? The Middle East has long been a cauldron of competing powers, and Turkey’s own maneuvers—muscling into Syria’s north, cozying up to militias—hardly scream restraint. Yet here we are, with Turkish F-16s and Israeli jets trading barbs in the sky, each side asserting dominance in a land that has known little but strife. 

The question is not who blinked first, but whether either can afford to blink at all.

Erdoğan prays: "May Allah destroy Israel"

The unhinged ravings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took a predictably sinister turn on Sunday, as the Islamist demagogue led Eid al-Fitr prayers at Istanbul’s Çamlıca Mosque.

According to Türkiye Today, Erdoğan seized the occasion marking Ramadan’s end to pray for Israel’s annihilation. “We see and know what is happening in Palestine,” he intoned, before invoking one of Allah’s more vengeful monikers: “May Allah, for the sake of his name ‘Al-Qahhar,’ destroy and devastate Zionist Israel.” 

For the uninitiated, Al-Qahhar translates from Arabic as “The Conqueror” or “The Subduer”—a fitting epithet for Erdoğan’s own tyrannical ambitions. Hitler's second coming went on: “And may we all, witnessing what is happening there [in the Gaza Strip], stay united, strong and resilient as brothers; may Allah keep our unity everlasting.” 

One can almost hear the jackboots clicking in unison and along mit dem Sig Heils, und so, but in Arabic.

In a separate English-language statement posted earlier that day to Ankara’s official channels, Erdoğan dialed up the sanctimony. “Particularly the genocide taking place in Gaza is constantly reaching a more alarming dimension,” the Jew-hater wrote, “with scenes that will tear out the heart of anyone who has even a little piece of conscience, morality, and reason.” 

Not that the October 7, 2023 massacre of Jews and subsequent killing of the Bibas babies along with their mother came close to tearing out the heart of anyone with a conscience, morality and a pair of eyes and ears to hear the screams, in this scumcrumpet Turk's evil mind.

Spare us the freaking tears. 

“As Türkiye, we take a clear stance against this atrocity and work to heal the wounds of our brothers and sisters through our aid,” he added, before prophesying: “The upcoming period will Inshallah [‘God willing’] lead to an awakening on this issue all across the world.” 

An awakening to what, exactly? The glories of the sick Hamassholes?

Erdoğan’s hostility toward Israel has festered like an open puss-sore since the terrorist group’s barbaric assault on southern Israel on that October 7th day. 

The Israeli Foreign Ministry, which has lately urged NATO to expel Turkey for flouting the alliance’s founding principles, offered no immediate comment—perhaps wisely avoiding a shouting match with a crazy bstrd. A spokesperson for NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte’s office dodged the issue entirely, directing inquiries back to Turkish authorities “for comment on the content and authenticity of the video.”

This is not Erdoğan’s first descent into blood-curdling rhetoric. In May 2024, he branded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the tired, worn out trope, calling him a “vampire who feeds on blood,” exhorting Muslims to wage war against the Jewish state. 

By July, he was telling Newsweek that the Palestinian terrorists who butchered 1,200 people—mostly civilians—on October 7 were merely “defending their homes, streets and homeland.” 

That same month, he threw subtlety to the wind, threatening outright invasion: “We must be very strong so that Israel can’t do these things to Palestine. Just as we entered Karabakh, just as we entered Libya, we might do the same to them. There is nothing we cannot do.” 

Spoken like a true conqueror—or a subduer, if you prefer. The civilized world should take note: this is the voice of a man who dreams not of peace, but of domination.

Mayor of Istanbul Conveniently Arrested

Yesterday, the Turkish authorities, in a move as predictable as it is contemptible, hauled in Istanbul’s Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, pinning him with the tired old charges of corruption and that perennial bogeyman, "links to terrorism." This, conveniently, just days before he was poised to claim his party’s presidential candidacy—a coincidence so blatant it could only be the work of a regime allergic to subtlety.

 Turkey’s opposition, already battered, finds itself under yet another wave of repression, and one needn’t strain to see the pattern.

İmamoğlu stands as a formidable adversary to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the populist autocrat who has clung to power for 22 years—first as prime minister, now as president, with his reign supposedly capped by term limits in 2028. 

Yet, whispers abound that parliament might conjure early elections, exploiting a constitutional sleight of hand to let Erdoğan tighten his grip once more. İmamoğlu, buoyed by a public that still dares to hope, threatens this scheme, while Erdoğan stews in the sour broth of his own unpopularity. 

Naturally, he and his cronies insist this arrest isn’t political—a claim so hollow it echoes like flatulence in an echo chamber.

The state’s claws are out further still: prosecutors have targeted roughly 100 other opposition figures with warrants, as if to underscore the point.

In Istanbul—Turkey’s beating heart—protests have ignited, undeterred by the regime’s clumsy efforts to choke them off with road closures and a four-day ban on demonstrations. 

Here we see, yet again, the familiar dance of a government too brittle to tolerate dissent, too cynical to disguise its motives. The tragedy is Turkey’s; the shame, Erdoğan’s.

Syria's new textbooks still crazy after all these centuries

Let us cast an unflinching eye upon the new schoolbooks emerging from Syria, shall we? There is something deeply troubling afoot. "In the new schoolbooks, the role of women in Arab history is being deliberately downplayed; Islam relegates women to a lower rank than men." 

So it is written, and so it appears to be. 

Figures such as Nazik al-Abid—once hailed as the “Joan of Arc of the Arabs” for her courageous stand for women’s rights—are now scrubbed from the pages. Queen Zenobia, that towering figure of the 3rd century, is dismissed as a relic of the Jahaliyya, the Time of Ignorance, unworthy of emulation. And Khawla bint al-Azwar, the fierce warrior of the Rashidun era who dared to believe Ali was the first rightful caliph, finds no favor in the uber-Sunni sanctum of Damascus. A Shia in all but name, she is cast out of this new pedagogical pantheon.

The excision does not stop there. 

The Assad dynasty, both father and son, has been predictably erased from any hint of praise, direct or oblique. Yet when it comes to Israel and the Jews, the venom remains untouched. 

"Multiple maps in a geography textbook for 14 – 15-year-olds present all of Israel’s internationally recognized territory as Palestine." The Golan Heights, firmly under Israeli control, are brazenly claimed as Syrian, while the cover flaunts an image of the Sea of Galilee—nestled within Israel’s borders—as though to whisper that it, too, might belong to Syria. 

Does Israel exist within its 1949 armistice lines in these texts, or has it been obliterated entirely? The answer is murky, but what is crystal clear is this: the Israel of today finds no reflection in these maps.

And then there is the matter of science—or its absence. 

"An entire chapter in a biology textbook for 13 – 14-year-olds on evolution has been removed." Why? Because evolution, we are told, is merely a “theory,” one that clashes with the immutable truths of Islamic doctrine. Best to shield the young minds from its seductive heresies until they can be sufficiently armored with faith. Secularism, it seems, is an unwelcome guest in this new scholastic order.

But it is in the reframing of “martyrdom” that the shift becomes most chilling. 

"‘Martyrdom’ will be reframed in the new textbooks from a national to a religious perspective." Out goes the notion of “a person giving away his soul to defend his homeland”; in its place, 10 grade pupils will now be taught of “a person giving away his soul for the sake of Allah.” The homeland of Syria fades into irrelevance; the call is now to martyrdom for Islam itself—to expand the umma, to strike down the infidels. 

Take Dalia al-Mughrabi, for instance, enshrined in these pages as a paragon of virtue. She, who in 1978 helped slaughter 38 Israeli civilians, including 13 children, in the Coastal Road Massacre, is held aloft as a model to emulate. 

If this is the education of the young, what future can we expect?

Behind this lurks the shadow of Turkey, Erdogan’s hand guiding the rise of HTS and its leader, al-Jolani, in their war against Assad. Ankara remains the principal foreign patron of this new Damascus regime—though one wonders how long that alliance will hold if Turkey insists on lingering in northern Syria to keep the Kurds in check. 

For now, the Ottoman legacy is gently rebranded: what was once an “occupation” in Assad’s textbooks is now a neutral “regime,” a semantic sleight of hand to appease a friend. Syria itself, as a nation, recedes from view; the spotlight falls instead on Islam and the global umma. The old hatreds endure—Jews and Western powers, those “warmongers and exploiters who suck the ‘blood of the innocents,’” remain the perennial enemies.

Al-Jolani may speak soothing words, pledging to disarm militias and forge a national army, disavowing any intent to challenge Israel’s recent gains on the Syrian Golan. And yet here are these textbooks, freshly minted, steeped ever deeper in an Islamic fervor that will shape the next generation. "Statements against Jews remain, as do those against all the Western powers." Many of these children, fed this diet of piety and prejudice, will surely emerge as jihadis—foot soldiers in a war without end.

The Israelis, wisely, keep their distance, unmoved by al-Jolani’s supposed overtures. They are right to hesitate.

Syrian rebels launch major attack advance toward Aleppo in their civil war

Thousands of Syrian rebels continued on in their advance as they attack government-controlled areas of the country's northwest and they're threatening to reach Aleppo, Syria's second largest city. Meanwhile, the rebels are gaining control of several strategically important towns along the way.

Syria's state media reported that insurgents fired projectiles at the student dorms at Aleppo University, located in the city center, killing four people, including two students. Public buses and other transport to Aleppo have been rerouted from the main road connecting it to Damascus to steer clear of the fighting, according to the government's news outlets.

People living in Aleppo said they heard missiles being fired on the edges of the city.

Meanwhile, opposition fighters have pushed forward into Saraqab, a town in Idlib province to the northwest, which is crucial for controlling supply routes to Aleppo.

This week's military gains by the opposition groups, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are some of the biggest in recent times after a period of relatively quiet conflict. This is the most significant fighting in northwest Syria since 2020, when government forces took back territories held by rebels. It's also the biggest push by opposition forces on Aleppo since they lost control of the city's eastern parts in 2016.

The Syrian Armed Forces stated that the insurgents are breaking a 2019 agreement that had calmed the fighting in the region, which has been the last area held by opposition forces for several years.
State media mentioned airstrikes targeting insurgents in the rural areas of Aleppo and Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group that tracks the war, reported that dozens of fighters on both sides have died since the fighting began on Wednesday. The insurgents have taken over more than 50 villages in their push forward, which appears to have surprised the government troops.

This offensive coincides with a time when Iran-linked groups, who have supported Syrian government forces since 2015, are dealing with conflicts back in Iran.

Israel and Hezbollah, the primary group in the Iran-backed coalition, have been engaged in an escalating conflict since September. A ceasefire was declared on Wednesday, the same day the Syrian opposition forces started their offensive. Over the last 70 days, Israel has ramped up its attacks on Hezbollah and other Iran-linked targets in Syria. “Hezbollah was the main force in the government’s control of the city,” said Rami Abdurrahman, the head of the Observatory, the war monitor.

The insurgents reported that fighters have taken control of the Scientific Research Center neighborhood, located about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from the western edge of Aleppo city. However, government-linked media claimed there are still ongoing clashes in that area, denying that the insurgents have captured it.

Insurgents posted videos online showing they were employing drones in their advance, a new tactic not seen in the earlier confrontations with government forces. It remains unclear how extensively these drones have been deployed on the battlefield.

Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, reporting from Idlib, estimated that the Syrian opposition fighters have gained control over approximately 400 square kilometers in Aleppo and Idlib province, coming within one kilometer (0.6 miles) of Aleppo City.

The agency also reported that early Friday, the insurgents used drones to attack a military airbase southeast of Aleppo city, destroying a helicopter.

It said the opposition groups captured heavy weapons, depots, and military vehicles from government forces during their advance.

Aid groups stated that the fighting has displaced thousands of families, leading to the suspension of some services. The opposition fighters claimed their offensive would enable the return of thousands of displaced people who had to flee due to recent government bombardments.

The 2016 battle for Aleppo was a pivotal moment in the war between Syrian government forces and rebel fighters since the 2011 protests against Bashar Assad’s rule escalated into full-blown conflict.

Russia and Iran, along with allied groups, aided Syrian government forces in recapturing all of Aleppo in that year, following a harsh military campaign and a siege that lasted for weeks.

Turkey has been a significant supporter of various opposition forces, establishing a military presence in parts of northwestern Syria. Separately, in eastern Syria, the United States has backed Syrian Kurdish forces in their fight against Islamic State militants.

This current situation is likely to cause even more migration to Western nations.Turkey, Understand, both sides are Islamists so we should not be taking any side in this civil war.

Feds raid homes of NYC Mayor Eric Adams' top aides

People judge you by the friends you keep. In politics, people are judged by the people to whom they give top government positions. In the case of the Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, his top aides' homes have been raided by federal law enforcement agents this week.

This is what appears to be a new criminal investigation unrelated to the other investigation--federal corruption into Adams and his campaign which is alleged to be tied to the Turkish government.

According to a local NBC News affiliate, the FBI executed search warrants at the home of Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks and a home shared by First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, and Schools Chancellor David Banks.

In addition, investigators also seized personal phones of New York City Police Commissioner Edward Caban and Timothy Pearson, the mayor's senior adviser, according to the former newspaper, The New York Times. The rag also said the a consultant, Terence Banks' home was searched--he is the brother of Philip and David Banks.

“Investigators have not indicated to us the mayor or his staff are targets of any investigation,” City Hall lawyer Lisa Zornberg said. “As a former member of law enforcement, the mayor has repeatedly made clear that all members of the team need to follow the law.”

What a concept.

The criminal investigation is being run out of the Southern District of New York, which focuses on government corruption cases and is also conducting the separate criminal investigation into Adams. 

Last month, The New York Times reported that prosecutors in the case involving the Turkish government recently issued a new round of grand jury subpoenas as part of their criminal investigation. These subpoenas include Mayor Adams himself, who is now under investigation.

Up until this development, the publicly available information indicated that prosecutors were primarily focusing on his campaign, not directly on the mayor, despite having seized his electronic devices last year.

The investigation is looking into whether Adams’ election campaign got illegal donations from the Turkish government. They are checking to see if Adams did anything in return since he has strong connections with Turkey.

The investigation is focusing on free upgrades the mayor got on Turkish Airlines flights and on Adams pushing the then-Fire Commissioner, Daniel A. Nigro, in 2021 to let the Turkish government use a new high-rise consulate in Manhattan temporarily. Fire officials hadn't approved the building because it wasn't safe enough.

Adams' alleged actions allowed the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to lead the opening of their 35-story tower in September 2021. Fire officials said the building had serious fire safety problems. The building, which cost $300 million, is the most expensive project by a foreign country.

Hamasshole leader Khaled Mashal calls for others, not him, to become martyrs

"We will revive suicide bombing to defeat Israel," a Hamas official said Wednesday. He was referring to people other than himself as he is too important to blow up even though he'd get rewarded 72 virgins with extraordinary talents, goat's milk being just one of them.

Khaled Mashal spoke in Turkey where called upon so called Palestinians to blow themselves up in close proximity of Israelis. [H/T Sky News Arabia] He told the outlet that the Arabs are indeed planning to become martyrs.

Mashal urged a widespread uprising among Arab citizens of Israel, as well as those living in Palestinian Authority-controlled regions in Judea and Samaria, to engage in attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers. Of course, if Israel intentionally attacked civilians, like Hamas intentionally does, the world would condemn the Jewish State.
“Actual resistance against the Zionist entity is the need of the hour,” the terrorist scumcrumpet said.

Israel’s anti-terror raids in Judea and Samaria and the ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip “can only be addressed by open conflict,” Mashal said.

“They are fighting us with open conflict, and we are confronting them with open conflict.”

In what seemed to reference the assassination of Hamas politburo head Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Mashal said, “The enemy has initiated the conflict on all fronts, targeting us all, regardless of whether we are actively fighting or not.”

It looks as if he forgot about October 7th as to who initiated the conflict.
“I repeat my call to everyone to participate on multiple fronts in the actual resistance against the Zionist entity,” he added.

He also implored students in universities throughout the world to stage mass anti-Israel protests and many of them are so misinformed and/or stupid, they will.

“With the return of the academic year and the approach of the first anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation [October 7th massacres], there must be a preparation at all fronts…to send a message to Washington and the world to stop the aggression on Gaza,” the concluded.

The Hamasshole is a staunch opponent of ending the Israeli-Arab conflict, even though it would give Palestinians an independent homeland, with Israel remaining intact, because he isn't risking his life but asks others to risk theirs.

Mashal instead has stressed that all of Israel, Gaza, and Judea and Samaria should become a Palestinian state, and then the rest of Europe and eventually the US and so on.

“We reject the two-state solution idea. Our goal is clear, a Palestinian state from the river to the sea, from north to south,” Mashal said.

He may be the next coward in the IDF's crosshairs.

Biden approved Iran's assault on Israel as long as it was "within certain limits"

Iran fired a large barrage of drones, ballistic missiles and rockets at Israel Saturday night into Sunday morning. Fortunately, their result was negligible, much like alleged President Biden's "leadership." In all, over 300 weapons were fired at the Jewish State resulting in zero deaths--a world record in military waste.

Then we learned that Biden is telling Israel not to do anything about it; no harm, no foul. Can you believe it; he's telling Israel not to retaliate, perhaps because Biden has been appeasing Iran and sending them funding for their military since the crazy hazy days of Obama, when Joe was his VP.

But worse than that, Biden knew about Iran's plan of assault on Israel prior to the attack, and effectively gave the terrorists the green light as long as they abided by certain conditions, as noted in a report from the Jerusalem Post.

Iran informed Turkey in advance of its planned assault against Israel, a Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters on Sunday, adding that Washington had conveyed to Tehran via Ankara that any action it took had to be "within certain limits."

Turkey, a Muslim country, had denounced Israel for defending itself against Gaza but said it didn't want further escalation of tensions in the region.

The Turkish source, speaking on condition of anonymity due to his fondness of the location of his head, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke to both his US Iranian counterparts in the past week to discuss the planned Iranian operation, adding Ankara had been made aware of possible developments.

Earlier this week, the useless US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to Fidan to make it clear that escalation in the Middle East was not in anyone's interest, [except for Iran, which he didn't mention or didn't know was the case].

"Iran informed us in advance of what would happen. Possible developments also came up during the meeting with Blinken, and they (the US) conveyed to Iran through us that this reaction must be within certain limits," the source said.

I've said before that, despite his public support for Israel, Biden sucks as a friend of the Israel, which has been made clear by this report.

Two-faced Biden publicly told Iran not to attack Israel with the word "don't," and Iran laughed in their beards and didn't give a fiddler's fart what he said, which was revealed that it was okey-dokey to attack you know, the Jews, as long as it was "within certain limits." Does that mean Iran could kill a couple of dozen Jews, but no more? It isn't clear what that means, other than the discovery that the Biden administration, and whoever his handler [Obama] is, hate the Jewish State.

And then Biden went on vacation because that's how he deals with pressure. He obviously doesn't need to clear his head--that's already the case. 

Based on the large amount of ordnance fired at Israel, it seems as if Iran didn't listen to the babbling of a warped, demented mind.

So here's the deal: Biden tells Iran to not attack Israel. Iran figuratively flips him off, Shi'a style. Then Biden tells Iran they can attack Israel, but must do so with some restrictions. Iran again tells him to sit on it. Now Biden is telling Israel not to retaliate.

Whose side is Biden on? Well, Iran of course.

At least we know that Israel isn't going to take our Houseplant-in-Chief's advice and will do what they must to survive. 

And the media will still cover for Biden and pretend he's a strong leader, in spite of the idiot taking us to the brink of WW3.

Day 5 of the Israeli - Hamas War UPDATE

"I promised $6 billion to Iran"

Day 5 of Israeli-Hamas War--here is where things stand:

UPDATE: 22 Americans were killed and 10 have been kidnapped.

Since the sneak attack by Hamas on Israel Saturday, 1,200 Israelis have been killed; 3,007 wounded. Of the wounded, 470 are hospitalized, none in critical condition. While the number of Israelis and citizens from other countries, including the USA that were taken hostage, is unknown, it is believed to be as many as 200.

Hamas has 1,055 killed and 5,184 wounded at last count.

The IDF has struck Islamic University in Gaza City as it's a "major training center for Hamas engineers."

Israel also confirms that there has been no known entries from Lebanon but Hezbollah has taken credit for an anti-tank strike on an IDF position, 

In response, the IDF hit southern Lebanon observation posts and rocket launch sites. They also destroyed Hamas' aerial detection capability.

Turkey's President Erdowan said that "Israel is not acting like a state," in the war against Hamas, probably due to Israel refusing to lie down and take it.

President Joe Biden made a fairly coherent speech and said that the United States stands behind Israel and he also spoke out against Hamas. Standing at attention beside him was Antony Blinken while Kamala Harris looked as if she wanted to smile but suddenly realized it would be inappropriate.

Hopefully Biden's words will become action because as Elie Weisel said in his famous Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech in 1986:

“We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere. When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men or women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must—at that moment—become the center of the universe.”

And let me be clear, anyone who takes the side of Hamas, is not only going against Israel and the civilized world in general, they are also going against the people of Gaza whose necks have been under the boot of Hamas since they elected them in 2006.

America cannot remain neutral.
