Syrian rebels launch major attack advance toward Aleppo in their civil war

Thousands of Syrian rebels continued on in their advance as they attack government-controlled areas of the country's northwest and they're threatening to reach Aleppo, Syria's second largest city. Meanwhile, the rebels are gaining control of several strategically important towns along the way.

Syria's state media reported that insurgents fired projectiles at the student dorms at Aleppo University, located in the city center, killing four people, including two students. Public buses and other transport to Aleppo have been rerouted from the main road connecting it to Damascus to steer clear of the fighting, according to the government's news outlets.

People living in Aleppo said they heard missiles being fired on the edges of the city.

Meanwhile, opposition fighters have pushed forward into Saraqab, a town in Idlib province to the northwest, which is crucial for controlling supply routes to Aleppo.

This week's military gains by the opposition groups, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are some of the biggest in recent times after a period of relatively quiet conflict. This is the most significant fighting in northwest Syria since 2020, when government forces took back territories held by rebels. It's also the biggest push by opposition forces on Aleppo since they lost control of the city's eastern parts in 2016.

The Syrian Armed Forces stated that the insurgents are breaking a 2019 agreement that had calmed the fighting in the region, which has been the last area held by opposition forces for several years.
State media mentioned airstrikes targeting insurgents in the rural areas of Aleppo and Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group that tracks the war, reported that dozens of fighters on both sides have died since the fighting began on Wednesday. The insurgents have taken over more than 50 villages in their push forward, which appears to have surprised the government troops.

This offensive coincides with a time when Iran-linked groups, who have supported Syrian government forces since 2015, are dealing with conflicts back in Iran.

Israel and Hezbollah, the primary group in the Iran-backed coalition, have been engaged in an escalating conflict since September. A ceasefire was declared on Wednesday, the same day the Syrian opposition forces started their offensive. Over the last 70 days, Israel has ramped up its attacks on Hezbollah and other Iran-linked targets in Syria. “Hezbollah was the main force in the government’s control of the city,” said Rami Abdurrahman, the head of the Observatory, the war monitor.

The insurgents reported that fighters have taken control of the Scientific Research Center neighborhood, located about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from the western edge of Aleppo city. However, government-linked media claimed there are still ongoing clashes in that area, denying that the insurgents have captured it.

Insurgents posted videos online showing they were employing drones in their advance, a new tactic not seen in the earlier confrontations with government forces. It remains unclear how extensively these drones have been deployed on the battlefield.

Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, reporting from Idlib, estimated that the Syrian opposition fighters have gained control over approximately 400 square kilometers in Aleppo and Idlib province, coming within one kilometer (0.6 miles) of Aleppo City.

The agency also reported that early Friday, the insurgents used drones to attack a military airbase southeast of Aleppo city, destroying a helicopter.

It said the opposition groups captured heavy weapons, depots, and military vehicles from government forces during their advance.

Aid groups stated that the fighting has displaced thousands of families, leading to the suspension of some services. The opposition fighters claimed their offensive would enable the return of thousands of displaced people who had to flee due to recent government bombardments.

The 2016 battle for Aleppo was a pivotal moment in the war between Syrian government forces and rebel fighters since the 2011 protests against Bashar Assad’s rule escalated into full-blown conflict.

Russia and Iran, along with allied groups, aided Syrian government forces in recapturing all of Aleppo in that year, following a harsh military campaign and a siege that lasted for weeks.

Turkey has been a significant supporter of various opposition forces, establishing a military presence in parts of northwestern Syria. Separately, in eastern Syria, the United States has backed Syrian Kurdish forces in their fight against Islamic State militants.

This current situation is likely to cause even more migration to Western nations.Turkey, Understand, both sides are Islamists so we should not be taking any side in this civil war.

Massive airstrike in Syria neutralizes 68

Palmyra, Syria -- On Wednesday, an Israeli airstrike in Syria struck three positions used by Hezbollah and other pro-Iranian terrorist organizations.

A series of Israeli airstrikes in eastern Syria resulted in the deaths of at least 68 individuals, according to a Syrian opposition group, marking it as one of the most lethal attacks attributed to Israel in the region in recent years.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), an anti-regime watchdog based in London, reported that the strikes involved three separate attacks by Israeli warplanes on Wednesday. These attacks targeted positions held by Hezbollah and other groups allied with Iran near Palmyra, in the Homs district.

The SOHR updated their casualty figures on Thursday, stating that all 68 victims were combatants. This included 42 Syrian fighters linked to pro-Iranian militias, among them five officers collaborating with Hezbollah. Additionally, the casualties comprised four Lebanese Hezbollah members and 22 fighters from the Nujaba Movement who were not Syrian.

The strikes also wounded 43 people, with seven of those being civilians, as per the SOHR's report.

The Syrian government's news agency, SANA, corroborated the event, reporting that at least 36 Syrians were killed and over 50 were wounded in the attacks.

“The Zionist entity committed a horrific crime in Palmyra today, which claimed the lives of 36 citizens and injured dozens of others in the air aggression carried out by Israeli aircraft, targeting a number of residential buildings and causing material damage to the buildings and surrounding area.” Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement to SANA Wednesday.

The Syrian defense ministry reported that among the Syrian nationals killed in the airstrikes, ten were soldiers of the Syrian army.

The Israeli military chose not to comment on the matter when approached regarding the airstrikes.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the attacks consisted of two bombings within the Al-Jam’iya neighborhood of Palmyra. These strikes hit a weapons storage facility and a building where leaders of pro-Iranian militias were stationed.

US deals death from above to al Qaeda fighters: will there be a virgin shortage?

A US airstrike on Sunday made mulch out of an Al Qaeda leadership and training facility in northern Syria where Islamic jihadis were “plotting external attacks” against American citizens, officials said.

The U.S. Central Command said Monday in a statement the strike occurred near the northern province of Aleppo and sent a number of militants off to a place known as Jannah, or Muslim paradise. It's a place where the rivers run with wine, the women are all beautiful brown-eyed virgins, and no matter how many times you have sex with them, poof! they remain virgins . . .  or so they say.

According to British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the strike killed only eight scum merchants of the Al-Qaeda-linked Horas al-Din, which is Arabic for "Mo Mo Mo, he's our man, if he can't kill you no one can." Okay, it actually means "Guardians of Religion."

The Observatory said the dead included six crap weasel commanders: two feisty Algerians, two crazy Tunisians, one sad Egyptian and a Syrian in a fig tree.

Son of ISIS leader killed

"I weel keel you"

Beirut -- The son of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is all bag-deady, according to the Islamic State. He was killed while trying to kill Syrian government forces--like father, like son.

The announcement of the young terrorist's death appeared on the group's social media accounts late Tuesday, but didn't include the number "likes" it received. The posting included a photo of a young boy holding a rifle [the ISIS "chick magnet"] and identified him as Huthaifa al-Badri, but it didn't specify when he was killed.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a war monitoring group, said the most recent IS fighting in the area were during the first two weeks of June.

Huthaifa's dad, Abu, has been killed and wounded tons of times, but, unfortunately, he is believed to be alive.

Islamic State has been driven from almost all the territory it once controlled in Syria and Iraq, but still maintains a presence in the Syrian desert and other remote areas along the border.

SOHR said that one of the last pockets the group held in eastern Syria's Deir el-Zour province came under heavy shelling from U.S.-led coalitions. At least a dozen scumcrumpets were likely killed in Hajin.

SOHR also explained that at least 11 Syrians displaced from the fighting in southwestern Syria were killed when they stepped on a mine as they fled the violence.

The two-week long offensive has already displaced about 330,000 people, including some 60,000 at the sealed border with Jordan, the U.N. said Tuesday.

Jordan currently houses at least 660,000 Syrian refugees and has resisted pressure to open the border, claiming it's full to the brim and can't take in more refugees.

Israel bombs Iranian base in Syria

Damascus -- Israel's air force reportedly bombed a military target thought to be an Iranian military base on the outskirts of Damascus, Syria, on Saturday. The strike was reported by Arab media outlets.

An arms depot was destroyed in the strike, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

Iran is a close ally of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad. They have assisted him militarily and provided him financially during the Syrian civil war. If they could have given Assad an actual chin, they would have been glad to do so.

The target was an Iranian base about 9 miles south of Damascus, only 30 miles from the Israeli border. The existence of the base was revealed by the BBC three weeks ago and is the first time reports have emerged of Iran establishing a permanent base in Syria.

Iran is known for its public chants of "Death to America! Death to Israel!" But somehow the world is going to want to blame Israel for defending itself against the terrorist nation.

"At half past midnight [2230 GMT Friday], the Israeli enemy fired several surface-to-surface missiles at a military position in Damascus province," SANA news agency reported, as per The Times of Israel. 

The Telegram messaging app linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps reported that a dozen Iranians were killed in the strike, according to Lebanon's Al-Mustaqbal TV and the Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya network.

Israel has repeatedly warned Iran that it will not allow them to develop a military presence in Syria. For some reason, Israel refuses to allow a nation that has threatened to "wipe Israel off the map" to build up militarily just down the road a piece. 

In fact, just this past June, demonstrators in Tehran, Iran's capital, set up a countdown clock to Israel's destruction. This Islamic hatred of Jews dates back to the origins of Islam when the Jews refused to convert or die.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued this stern warning in a video announcement on November 30, before the strike:

"Let me reiterate Israel's policy: We will not allow a regime hell-bent on the annihilation of the Jewish state to acquire nuclear weapons. We will not allow that regime to entrench itself militarily in Syria, as it seeks to do, for the express purpose of eradicating our state."

Netanyahu conveyed that warning to Assad via a third party just days before the strike, saying that Syria will be targeted if it allows Iran to develop a permanent presence in Syria.

But you can bet your bippy that people like Linda Sarsour and her leftist, idiot minions, will blame Israel (aka the Jews) for being the aggressors.

IS retakes almost entire vital Syrian border town

Beirut, Lebanon -- The good news is we're defeating ISIS in many areas of the Middle East. The bad news is Islamic State 'fightin' scum wafers' have recaptured almost all of Albu Kamal. This was their last significant Syrian town under their control, and they fought hard to retake it, a monitor said Saturday.

On Thursday, Syrian regime forces along with allied militia, overran Albu Kamal (translation: "Albu's favorite Camel") which lies along the border of with Iraq. But they faced fierce IS counter-attacks (which is why Trump was right to say he would "bomb the s**t out of them.")

On Saturday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said IS "ambushed" the attacking forces and managed to oust them from most of the town.

"IS has almost completely retaken control of Albu Kamal, pushing pro-regime forces to its southern and eastern edges," Rami Abdel Rahman said. Rahman is head of SOHR, which is British-based.

The real reason IS didn't want to give up control of Albu Kamal is more likely due to the fact that it has a working shower and the town is expected to soon be supplied with additional indoor plumbing in the form of a town pay toilet in which all of the proceeds will go to fund the 'religious jihad.'

"Every flush will be a bullet for the cause of Allah" IS says.

Saturday saw more fighting since the counter-attacks began on Thursday.

"It was Daesh's biggest ambush operation, tricking the attacking forces into thinking they had controlled the city," Abdel Rahman said, using the Arabic acronym of IS, which IS hates. 

But tricking the enemy is what fighting forces are supposed to do, so they probably suck at strategy since they didn't see it coming.

Albu Kamal is at the heart of what IS, in 2014, called its "caliphate." It expanded over swathes of Iraq and Syria. Losing Albu Kamal would have been the cherry on top of their needing to go underground as a guerilla organization, a term having nothing whatsoever to do with ape-like creatures often confused by liberals.

Only 60,000 killed thus far, but we're on a roll

Question: What do you call 60 thousand dead ISIS jihadists?

Answer: A good start.

U.S. coalition forces have killed more than 60,000 Islamic State murderers since we've the religious group came into power under the Obama administration. 

Gen. Raymond Thomas, the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command provided those figures on Tuesday and said this figure should be a signal of our success against these mujahideen (aka "fightin' scumcrumpets").

This figure is 10,000 higher than first reported in December when U.S. officials believed 50,000 ISIS scum were killed. What a pleasant surprise to find that number low.

Gen. Thomas spoke at the National Defense Industrial Association's annual Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict conference.

"I'm not into morbid body counts, but that matters," Thomas said. "So when folks ask, do you need more aggressive [measures], do you need better [rules of engagement], I would tell you that we're being pretty darn prolific right now."

Prolific is good.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights estimated that in 2-14 there were 100,000 Islamic State crap weasels in Iraq and Syria, while the Pentagon said last summer that only 15 to 20 thousand remained in those countries.

The General spoke about military gains against ISIS strongholds and pointed out that the U.S. and our partners are "on the verge" of toppling the capital of their caliphate in Raqqa, Syria as well as aggressive efforts to take back Mosul, Iraq.

At least 1,500 unwashed ISIS fighters were sent to their virgin goats when coalition forces were victorious in Sirte, Libya, Thomas said.

"We're making great progress against this enemy," he said. "I don't know that that resonates in [the] United States about the nature of the threat and how aggressively we're getting after it, because I think that might assuage some of the concerns about how we are able to get after an enemy, a declared enemy of the United States."

He then explained that discussions of whether to use a more aggressive bombing campaign is ongoing.

"There's some recommendation in the offing for the administration to consider. We'll see which consideration the opt for."

Hopefully we will opt for the complete annihilation of every swinging nut-sack out there who wants to kill us in the name of their religion.

Another Abu "buys the goats"

A high-ranking Islamic State commander described as a "gang leader" for the religious terror organization was killed by a coalition airstrike in Syria, according to the U.S. military.

Sadly, he will not be missed.

The strike killed Abu Jandal al-Kuwaiti on Monday. It occurred near Tabqa Dam, near Raqqa in northern Syria. His body was discovered in various parts of Tabqa as well as several neighboring towns.

A captured ISIS fighter, Abu Bubu Mahmoud Omar el-Mohammed al-Fatahi bin Batiban said, "Abu was really messed up from the rocket. It was a direct hit. Body parts flew everywhere. I'm worried that he will be unattractive to his virgins and I suspect he will not be able to perform as he is missing all of his equipment."

Al-Kuwaiti was a former member of the terror network's "War Committee" and helped in the recapture of Palmyra.

"His death will degrade ISIL's ability to defend Raqqa and launch external operations against the West," the U.S. military said in a statement, referring to ISIS as ISIL.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights based in Britain, said that al-Kuwaiti had been targeted by U.S.-led coalition aircraft, and ISIS supporters said on social media on Tuesday that he had been killed.

They're running low on virgins down there so they're using goats.

ISIS Sunni jihadists re-enter Palmyra

Syrian activists of the Palmyra Coordination Collective said that the Islamic State fighters have re-entered Palmyra, the historic city located in central Syria. The jihadists were kicked out by Russian and Syrian forces nine months ago, but have returned like that long hair on your aunt Sadie's cheek.

According the the activists, ISIS seized the city's military warehouse and the northern and western neighborhoods. They also captured several government positions, oil fields and strategic hilltops in their three-day campaign for the fun and glory of Allah.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based group, said the militants reached Palmyra's Tadmor Hospital as well as its strategically located wheat silos.

Never adverse to destroying anything they deem as un-Islamic, they went to work on the city's famed ancient Roman monuments and murdered its archaeological director after they swept into town in July 2015. They were able to hold Palmyra for 11 months and have only now returned to once again re-take it.

Now if only President-elect Donald Trump will do as he promised once he takes the oath of office, we can all take a short break from the next installment of "Welcome to the Seventh Century."

U.S.-Backed Syrian Rebels Beheads Child

U.S.-backed Syrian rebel mujahideen group Nour-al-din el Zanki beheaded a child (believed to be around 12) as they screamed "Allahu Akbar." The 'tough guys' made a video to show their barbarism. The child's name was Abdullah Issa.

The video shows the fighters telling the camera, "These are the prisoners from Liwa al-Quds (Jerusalem Brigade--a Palestinian militia group). He [Assad] cannot stoop any lower--he sent us children today. Are you sending us children?"

We fund these scumbags because they fight against the Assad regime, but do we actually know what the hell we're doing under this administration?

Nour-al-din el-Zanki accused the boy of being a spy, and one rebel said of the child, "These are the dogs of Assad. These are you people, Bashar."

Another rebel says in the video, "We shall not leave anyone in Handarat," referring to the Palestinian refugee camp where the regime and rebel forces is currently fighting.

The shouts of "Takbir" and "Allahu Akbar" ring out as one 'brave' fighter saws through the child's neck, then holds the head aloft as he shouts "Allahu Akbar!" 

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights official Rami Abdel Rahman told France Press that "The child is no more than 13-years-old. He was arrested today in the area of Handarat, but the slaughtering happened in el-Mashab neighborhood.

Reports on Issa's age vary from 11 and 13. Some believe he was an 11-year-old Palestinian child from Handarat, while others claim that he was a Syrian from Homs.

"This is one of the most terrible execution acts that I have seen since the revolution began in Syria," Rahman said.

Nour-al-din el-Zanki condemned the beheading claiming that it was performed by those who do not represent the group. "All of the people who carried out this violation have been arrested and brought before a disciplinary tribunal," a group statement read.

"The movement of Nour-al-din el Zanki condemns the inhuman violation, since they believe in the principles and the targets of the revolution and the principle of human rights and the international agreements and the sharia. This violation doesn't reflect us and a one-time mistake does not reflect the general policy of the movement," the statement read.

The group's statement also blamed international actors stating that the group "holds the international community full responsible for keeping silent about the crimes regime forces are perpetuating which represent the lowest level of barbaric crimes committed under the ears and the eyes of the world and are represented by a killing machine which slaughters thousands of citizens."

Liwa al-Quds denied any connection with Issa, but this group, and other Islamic groups, have been known to use taqiyya to get what they want. They should be trusted like you would trust Hillary Clinton with your computer files.

Let's see what happens to these barbarians. I suspect they'll get the James Comey treatment.

Al Qaeda bullies take their weapons

FSA soldier doing 'trick shot'

Why don't we just sell our weapons to Al Qaeda instead of having the U.S.-backed Syrian rebels give it away?

Division 13 of the Free Syrian Army say that Al Qaeda affiliated Nusra Front jihadists  occupied their posts and stolen their weapons in a series of raids. Maybe that's what the "Free" means in their name.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the bullies grabbed anti-tank missiles, armored vehicles, one tank and some small arms from the "Frightened Fightin' 13th." The 13th Division along with weapons, was also provided with money and training from the U.S.  

How did that work out for them?

FYI, the FSA and Nusra Front are sort of fighting to overthrow President Bashar Assad.

Kerry on Syria: "They're not suppose to do that"

The cease-fire was just about to be brokered between the United States and Russia and go into effect at midnight local time in Syria when lo and behold, Russian warplanes struck without warning.

The strikes came at a time when 97 Syrian opposition and rebel groups agreed to abide with the cease-fire. They even formed a committee to follow-up on it, but evidently, Putin had other plans. 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based safely away in Britain, believe the warplanes to be Russian. The targets were civilian areas east of Damascus in the suburb known as Douma.

At least eight people were killed in the strikes including three women and four children.

Russia had no comment but they could not contain a sardonic sneer, knowing that he and his ilk have nothing to fear from Obama and his ilk.

Dozens or airstrikes were also reported in Aleppo and last Thursday, President Obama said that he hoped the cease-fire in Syria will lead to an end to the civil war and allow us all to join hands, maybe hug, and go after the Islamic State, a group of miscreants and misunderstanders of Islam who are giving the religion of peace a bad name.

Obama put the responsibility on Russia and its allies, especially the chinless Assad government, to do the right thing. "The world is watching," Obama warned, causing Vladimir Putin to laugh wholeheartedly. Obama then added, "And I know who your mother is."

Secretary of State John-Empty-Suit-Kerry said of the Russian airstrikes: "They're not suppose to do that. And I know, that if they knew, that the world is watching, they wouldn't do that."

Kerry tends to overuse that word, "that," almost as much as he overuses his stay as Secretary of State.

ISIS: equal opportunity terrorists

ISIS rang in the second week of the holy month of Ramadan by punishing two children in Syria for not properly fasting as prescribed by the holy Koran. The children were crucified and put on public display on crossbars explaining the "unholy" act they committed. 

ISIS sees itself as the purveyors of holiness and earth's spokes-scum for Allah and the true interpreters of Islam. They kill women and men too, just because they don't practice the same brand of Islam as ISIS does, which is a strict interpretation of the Koran as it was meant to be understood back when Mohammad was killing innocent people, robbing caravans on the desert, and taking sex slaves from the dead husbands who left them behind.

Ramadan runs from June 17 to July 17. Devout Muslims are not permitted to eat or drink anything during daylight hours, but once the sun goes down, many often gorge themselves. It isn't healthy to refrain from drinking during the hot days of summer, and it isn't very intelligent, but Mohammad came from a time and place where drinking camel urine was considered medicinal, so go figure. Since ISIS established themselves as a caliphate and the "go-to-terrorists-on-Islam" last year, over 3000 people have been killed for 'not being religious enough.' Of this total, about 74 have been children and even more have been women. Some of the so-called offenses have been practicing "magic" (which to those sand monkeys might be something as magical as turning on a transistor radio) and refusing to fast during Ramadan.

"ISIS is using executions to show its followers, and would-be followers, that the group is the only true representative of believers, not only in word, but action, which is why executions are featured so prominently," says Jasmine Opperman, director of Southern Africa Operations at the Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in the UK reported the death toll and also discussed some of the charges that resulted in executions. "Many of the charges against those executed are recorded as blasphemy and spying, but others include sorcery, sodomy, practicing as a Shia Muslim," it stated.

The most serious thing the West needs to consider is how ISIS has taken to recruiting children to join them, using videos of kids fighting in cages and taking military-style training. ISIS has even set up offices called "cubs of the caliphate" that are used in their recruitment efforts.

A UN report by the Committee on the Rights of the Child was released this past February and discusses the horrors inflicted on children who are Yazidi, Kurdish, Christian, and the wrong kind of Muslim. 

ISIS, as equal opportunity abusers, also abuse mentally challenged kids and use torture, crucifixion, immure them alive, use them as suicide bombers and sell them as sex slaves, all in compliance with the Koran and Mohammad, their so-called prophet.

What a religion when taken in its purest context.

Muslim Cleric Killed Fighting for ISIS, the Non-Islamic Folks

It's a sad day for the religion of peace--a Saudi cleric, a real man of the Koran, has been killed in Kobani, a northern Syrian town. He was simply doing his religious duty, doing jihad in the name of Islam. 

He was fighting for the Islamic State. ISIS. ISIL. It's really all the same. 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based organization said that Othman al-Nazeh al-Assiri was killed while battling Kurdish fighters in Kobani. Apparently, he was killed in an airstrike by the US-led coalition.

But let's instead look on the bright side: Othman al-Naseh al-Assiri is already getting laid in Paradise by 72 brown-eyed virgins, getting bathed by young boys who never grow old, and is swimming in rivers of wine. How can we feel sorry for the guy. I just hope he uses condoms with all those women.

Al-Assiri was a Sharia maven (that's Yiddish for someone who's an expert on a topic) with the Islamic State, which, according to Obama, is not Islamic. The cleric used to lead sermons at a mosque in Raqqa, in northern Syria.
