Elijah Cummings' wife breaking the law by refusing to disclose nonprofit docs

Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, the wife of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) may have broken the law by refusing to disclose financial documents relating to her nonprofit. Worse, this suggests a possible conflict with Cummings' supervisory role as chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Gee, ya think?

The Daily Caller News Foundation conducted an investigation by Luke Rosiak. He asserts that she is breaking the law by not disclosing documents relating to her nonprofit, the Center for Global Policy Solutions, which is closely related to a for-profit consulting group, Group Policy Solutions LLC [my italics].

The nonprofit received millions of dollars from groups that have special interests in the Oversight Government Reform Committee headed by Rep. Cummings, and this possibly suggests that their donations to his wife's nonprofit will buy them favorable treatment like it probably did for those who donated to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State under the Obama administration. [In fact, donations to the Clinton Foundation dried up when she lost her political influence.] A complaint in this regard was filed to the IRS by the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC).

Three separate groups reportedly have requested the nonprofit's forms, and Rockeymoore Cummings has refused to disclose documents relating to her nonprofit. She also refused to discuss the matter with the NLPC and did not answer formal requests for records from the Daily Caller or the Washington Examiner. Instead, Mr. Cummings pulled out his Saul Alinsky "Rules for Radicals" and used rule number 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon" and charged that those of the NLPC who complained about his wife's refusal to turn over the documents are conservatives.

He never explained how their being conservatives would negate any legal issues because it simply conflates two unrelated issues!

Obfuscation is the key.

Sally Wagenmaker, a lawyer who specializes in nonprofit tax law, suggested that refusal to hand over the documents breaks the law.

“Wow. That’s illegal,” Wagenmaker asserted. “It’s interesting and sad. You have the right to get them. The organization absolutely is required to provide the information, so to not do so would appear to be flaunting the law.”

“As a family member of an elected official, we’d expect high-road, integrity, and compliance. If anyone should be responding promptly, it should be her. He should be above approach,” Wagenmaker added.

Rockeymoore Cummings gave no reason for her refusal to hand over the documents in spite of the fact that the IRS requires that nonprofits disclose information about their operations in exchange for their tax-exempt status on an IRS form called a Form 990.

Wagenmaker added:
"One of the policy reasons for disclosure is to be able to to illuminate conflict of interest, and the media’s role is to help illuminate that: is she trying to hide information, is she being secretive, does she think she’s above the law? And one of the ways that happens is through the required disclosure of 990s."
The report arises after Cummings recently subpoenaed President Trump’s business records. Trump filed a suit to block Cummings’ subpoena over these records.

Congressional Democrats, including Cummings, have called for hearings to investigate the Trump Foundation. However, the hearings might also raise concerns over whether Cummings and his wife have any conflicts of interests regarding his wife’s nonprofit. And just what's in those elusive documents of her nonprofit?

Tom Anderson, an investigator with the NLPC, said that nonprofits have to disclose their business practices:
The problem is there are millions of dollars coming into these entities from corporations and special interests with business before Elijah Cummings, and any time you have that, every rule has to be followed or else it opens the door for massive corruption. And that holds whether the politician in question is Donald Trump, Elijah Cummings or someone else.
The NLPC investigator said in a conversation with Cummings, he “went on to rant about how we’re a conspiracy right-wing group for super-mega billionaires, which sounds like something out of Star Wars.” That's Alinsky's rule 5 once again.

Anderson reiterated that Cummings did not provide any evidence to suggest his complaint to the IRS was wrong.

“We’re going to Johnson + Johnson, Prudential, lining up all the dots,” Anderson said, regarding companies that have donated to the nonprofit, suggesting that it could raise concerns over conflict of interest.

The American public awaits with great anticipation. Well, all except for the folks on the left.

Dumb Dems anti-gun plan backfires

A left-wing study meant to expose the perfidy of illegal online gun sales ended up exposing the honesty of gun sellers after investigators tried to set up scores of firearm transactions.

Sorry Dems you need to learn how to get out of your own way.

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), along with Sens. Elizabeth "Fauxcahontas" Warren (D-MA) and Brian Schatz (D-HI) commissioned the Government Accountability Office report to examine how online private dealers might be selling guns to people not permitted to possess them.

They based their efforts on a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) 2016 report claiming that "anonymity of the internet makes it an ideal means for prohibited individuals to obtain illegal firearms."

"Congressional requesters asked that GAO access the extent to which ATF is enforcing existing laws and investigate whether online private sellers sell firearms to people who are not allowed or eligible to possess a firearm," the report said.

After a two-and-a-half year investigation in which agents tried to buy firearms illegally on the "Surface Web" and the "Dark Web," generally letting the sellers know their status as "prohibited individuals" or trying to buy across state lines, it turns out there were not takers, or in this case, sellers willing to do business with them.

The GAO revealed that in their 72 attempts (one for each jihad virgin) outside of the dark web were all "unsuccessful."

"It's just amazing that none of the mainstream media, except for Fox News, covered this story after all the effort the Democrats made," my main man, Vinny Boombots, said. "Un-freaking-believable!"

"Private sellers on Surface Web gun forums and in classified ads were unwilling to sell a firearm to our agents that self-identified as being prohibited from possessing a firearm," the GAO reported. They also noted that in "72 attempts . . . 56 sellers refused to complete a transaction once we revealed that either the shipping address across state lines or that we were prohibited by law from owning firearms." In the other cases, the investigators' website was frozen or they encountered suspected scammers.
"Me no like Thunderstick, Keemosabi"

On the dark web, GAO agents were able to purchase two guns illegally, as the serial numbers on the weapons were "obliterated" and "shipped across state lines." BUT in the attempt to buy the weapons, the agents "did not disclose any information indicating they were prohibited from possessing a firearm."

Based on the findings, the GAO said it is "not making recommendations in this report."

The three Democratic stooges did not reply to Fox News' request for comment on the GAO's findings.

The NRA said that online sales are in fact regulated and called the study an "embarrassment" for the gun control leftists.

"GAO's findings showed nothing so much as that private sellers advertising online are knowledgeable about the law, conscientious, and self-policing.
the NRA said, adding that online gun sales are "subject to the same federal laws that apply to any other commercial or private gun sales."

Developing: Comey will go public in Intel Committee testimony

Developing -- Former FBI Director James Comey has agreed to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee (an oxymoron if ever there was one) in open session sometime after Memorial Day.

The committee's chairman Senator Richard Burr (his friends call him "Ironsides") and Senator Mark Warner, the rank Democrat, announced Friday that Mr. Comey will testify before the committee in an open setting with a date not yet set.

Burr hopes Comey's testimony will implicate the Democratic Party in the Russian probe, while Warner is hoping for a presidential impeachment followed by an old fashioned hanging.

Burr explained that the committee hopes to hear about Comey's role in the development of the U.S. intelligence agencies' assessment regarding the Russian interference in last year's election (that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange denies). He hopes Comey's testimony will answer some of the questions that have surfaced since he was suddenly fired by President Trump.

This news comes after reports in the "failed" New York Times and Washington Post about the fallout over the Comey firing and the inquiry into the Russian role on the election as well as possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

The Times reported that Trump told the Russians that Comey was a "nut job" whose firing relieved "great pressure" on him. For more on the Times  story, go here

Without factual evidence of Trump's alleged statement about Comey's status as a nut job, Rep. Elijah Cummings, (D-MD) said the comment by the President was "astonishing and extremely troubling," while the factual evidence of Hillary Clinton's private and illegal server was just another day at the office.

Cummings may have been a true civil rights leader back in the day, but today he's nothing short of an empty lunchbox.

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller was named Special Counsel for the Russian investigation regarding their involvement in our presidential campaign last year.

Mueller, a good friend of James Comey, is expected to be impartial. (LOL)

Unpredictable Comey causing RNC and DNC to be prepared

Both the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee are preparing responses in the event of any new developments that may come from the FBI Director James Comey in the case of Hillary Clinton's investigation of her private server and the Clinton Foundation and a possible conflict of interest as the presidential election is just hours away.

Depending on orders that Comey will get from his boss, Loretta Lynch, the  Committees' speeches will be geared to either attack or praise Comey's decision, depending on which party is doing the speeches at that time.

As it stands now, Comey announced, that based on the most recently reviewed emails, the investigation remains the same. However, after the election, 'stuff' may hit the proverbial fan.

Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) made it clear that he wants the investigation to be forever closed and for everyone to just "leave that poor woman alone. If she wasn't a woman, she wouldn't be attacked the way she has been .  .  .  damn Republicans." After Comey said that nothing had been found that any prosecutor would indict Clinton for, Cummings sang praises for the director.

But a little over a week ago when Comey revisited the investigation when emails were found on Anthony Weiner's computer related to Clinton's time at the State Department, he sang a different tune.

"James Comey is the worst FBI Director that ever directed the FBI. I don't know if his family is watching this, but they should be ashamed."

President Obama (D-allegedly from Ill.) commented on the investigation saying: "If, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if you look at Hillary compared to Trump, you will see there's no comparison. You can't vote for a man who talks that way to women. You, you, you, you, you just can't. That'd be foolish. Hillary's innocent and this is just a witch hunt."

Now that Comey has decided that he is going to halt further investigation on Clinton at this time, the tunes again have changed.

GOP presidential candidate Donald J. Trump commented on Comey's most recent change of heart. "The system is rigged, folks. The system is rigged. Crooked Hillary shouldn't be allowed to run for president; she should be in prison, but the system is rigged. Rigged."

Former DNC Chairwoman Debby Wasserman Schultz (Duh-Fl.) recently commented, "Would you like fries with that?"

When Democrats are fickle

Oh how fickle when they're in a pickle, those Democrats.

Now the leftist party is ratcheting up their criticism of FBI Director James Comey for telling the public about his decision to revisit Clinton's email probe.

But back in July, when Comey went public with the announcement that he didn't have sufficient evidence to merit an indictment of the woman who make all other politicians look like Mother Theresa, he was the darling of the left. If Obama has a love-child with a white woman, he would have looked like James Comey.

During a press conference at his final NATO summit Obama praised Comey for being "exhaustive" during the investigation of the emails. "I think Director Comey could not have been more exhaustive," he said.

Even before the July Comey pronouncement, Obama praised him, calling him a 'rarity' and said Comey didn't care about politics--he was just interested in getting the job done. Of course, Obama has his own problems now that the emails that came out showed that he communicated under an alias with Hillary on her private server. He obviously knew about the server because it wasn't a dot-gov address.

Then there's The Washington Post an uber-liberal rag. The day after Comey announced the fact that he wanted to let Hillary slide on an indictment, they wrote how all the nasty Republicans attacked poor Comey for just "doing his job."

But when the news broke out that Comey was revisiting the case, the same editorial board said that Comey "went too far" by giving Congress a "heads-up" aboutt he investigation, and that the FBI Director 'ruined democracy' for the country by casting a shadow over Queen Hillary.

Then there's the anti-Mother Theresa, Donna Brazile. She originally tweeted praised Comey for doing great work by burying the Clinton investigation, then tried to delete the tweet after Comey changed his mind.

Brazile's emails came under scrutiny when she allegedly gave the Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, debate questions in advance (which the campaign gladly accepted without question).

Nancy Pelosi (whose tribal name is "Hands That Speak With Forked Fingers") called Comey a "great man" and said the FBI was lucky to have him. Now, according to Pelosi, he is a weak, spineless coward who let Republicans bully him into flipping on Hillary.

"The public interest would be served by the FBI providing the facts, rather than allowing Republicans to stoke innuendo and falsehoods 11 days away from a presidential election," the leftist hypocrite said.

And the alleged father of Pelosi's homely lovechild, Harry Reid (kidding about the kid) said that nobody can question Comey's "integrity" and "competence" unless he flips, and then Reid can. In an open letter, the man with a woman's voice accused Comey of violating the Hatch Act for not investigating Donald Trump's connections to Vladimir Putin of the real 'Borscht Belt.'

But my personal favorite flipper is Congressman Elijah Cummings. I am about to list his quote with the caveat for anyone whose stomach is currently full, not to read it until you have fully digested your meal as this might cause you to vomit in your mouth.
"I don't know whether your family's watching this, but I hope that they are as proud of you as I am, because you are the epitome of what a public servant is all about . . . Sacrificing over and over and over again, trying to do the right thing, sometimes coming under ridicule, but again, still doing the right thing."
Following Comey's revisit, Cummings accused him of being a puppet for the Republicans. "It doesn't surprise me, in a way, that he did this, because I don't think the American people have a clue as to how hard the Republicans, particularly on my committee, have been on the FBI," he said.

The list goes on, but you can imagine the contrast of their own opinions when the outcome didn't go the way they wanted it to go.

Now Obama's chief adviser, and the real power behind the throne, Valeria Jarrett, is among the leftists who want Comey gone and the country to be run by a felon and female misogynist.

A source told The New York Post that "Valerie argued that Comey was interfering deliberately in the election process and had to be stopped." But the same source claims that Obama is "worried about the consequences of taking such an action--the tsunami of outrage that would come his way, and possibly become a major footnote, or worse, in the history of the presidency."

The GOP however, is ecstatic over Comey's reversal of direction. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul (R-TX) called Comey a "hero" and said of Jarrett, "I don't think Valerie Jarrett has any credibility here."

Clinton's IT guy dodges subpoena

Former State Department IT specialist Bryan Pagliano was the guy responsible for setting up Hillary Clinton's private server. He was subpoenaed to appear before a House committee hearing but ignored the subpoena. The other tech experts who were involved with maintaining the system asserted their Fifth Amendment right not to testify.

Needless to say, Republican lawmakers are frustrated and angry as they attempt to probe deeper into Clinton's email setup.

The House oversight committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, (R-UT) said he will now consider a "full range of options" to address Pagliano's "failure" to comply with the subpoena. "He should be here," Chaffetz said, "it is not optional. His attendance is required here."

Hopefully, the authorities will arrest Pagliano, throw him in prison with a guy named Bubba, (not Bubba Bill Clinton) and get him to sing. He is a vital witness in the Clinton email case and previously spoke to the FBI under immunity. He told them that there were no successful security breaches of the server, but as a Clinton staffer, he could be lying.

Last year, Pagliano refused to answer questions in front of a House panel investigating the 2012 Benghazi, Libya attacks that killed 4 Americans, including Ambassador Stevens. His then lawyer said that Pagliano didn't want to give up his rights to plead 'The Fifth' to prevent self-incrimination.

Republicans questioned why he would avoid the latest hearing since he had immunity but Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) said that Pagliano's lawyer remarked that the request was an "abuse of process."

Officials from Platte River Networks, Bill Thornton and Paul Combetta, complied with the subpoenas but plead the Fifth. That company maintained Clinton's illegal server in Denver after it was removed from her home, and finally moved to a data center in New Jersey. Both men were eventually excused.

Cummings, who would fall on a grenade for Hillary, said he could understand why the men refused to testify.

Chaffetz said that there would be consequences for Pagliano's refusal to testify, but the American public has finally figured out that nothing is going to come from this and that it's all talk and posturing by an impotent Congress.

Hillary, I predict, will skate all charges, possibly become THE FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! as she likes to scream, and Bill will help himself to the smorgasbord of women who will agree to have sex with him and can do so without tossing their lunch.

The only witness who actually testified was Bill Clinton's aide Justin Cooper. He confirmed that he had access to the Clinton server in spite of not holding a security clearance. One would think that this alone should be grounds for indicting Hillary Clinton.

But nobody will do anything to Hillary, except perhaps her own ailing body.

Ben Rhodes and Jonathan Gruber: counting on stupidity

Both Ben Rhodes and Jonathan Gruber seem to believe that the American people are stupid and deserve to be fooled, as long as it's for what they consider to be the greater good.

Gruber talked about how Obamacare depended upon the stupidity of the American voter in order to become a law, and because it was for Obamacare, it was for the greater good, in his mind. The administration knows best what's good for us.

Rhodes, on the other hand, bragged to the New York Tomes Magazine about the Obama administration's success in selling the Iran deal to the American people. He explained that they built an "echo chamber" to sell the plan and made fun of the young reporters who got their information from him.

The House Oversight Committee hearing was to called to look into White House "narratives" regarding the Iran deal after Rhodes shot off his mouth.

Several senators tried to get Mr. Obama to fire Rhodes and a House committee looking into his braggadocio went forward with their hearing in spite of him not showing up to testify. Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) called on him but Obama shielded his appearance in order to conceal their embarrassment over getting caught with their pants down, much like Bill Clinton did on many occasions, but under different circumstances.

The White House used the old ploy, "executive privilege."

Michael Rubin of the American Enterprise Institute, (they'll pick you up) a guy who is not known to smile or ever crack a joke, accused Rhodes of creating a "propaganda operation."

Ben Rhodes is a journalist like Kim Kardashian is an actress.

Of course, the Democrats could always count upon the committee's top liberal Rep. Elijah-Black-Lives-Matter-Cummings (D-Md.) to to after Republicans with the only arsenal in his quiver--the ad hominem attack--as he criticized the analysts they called while not inviting military generals who support the agreement.

The truth is, Obama fired all of the military generals who didn't agree with him and left a bunch of "Yes Men" in uniform to validate his views.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) said that at least Cummings could question the witnesses who showed up, but Rhodes, he said, "didn't bother to show up."

Several GOP-ers wrote to Barack asking him to dump Rhodes, "before he further tarnishes the Office of the President," but we all know that it's too late for that.

The truth is, it's probably foolish at this point for the GOP to make a big fuss over this--the administration looks like lying idiots all by themselves. Just let Trump talk about this with Hillary when they throw down on the debate stage.

Gruber and Rhodes think they've pulled a fast one on the American people, but in fact, the only people who buy their bull are progressive liberals and they're not so American when you get right down to it. If they had their way, they would get rid of the Constitution and replace it with "Rules for Radicals."

Hillary lets Pagliano "Plead the Fifth"

The flags don't make him innocent
Bryan Pagliano is an I.T. expert. He worked as an IT director on Hillary Clinton's failed 2008 campaign and helped set up her private, unsecured, email server that the FBI has put in protective custody in light of the breach of State Department protocol and government regulations.

A government employee is not allowed to use a private server to send and/or receiving classified information, and in general, only a secure government server is recommended for all business emails. Hillary had only the private server and lied repeatedly about how she used it.

Pagliano says he will invoke his Fifth Amendment right to avoid testifying against Hillary Clinton, reports Fox News, but the actual purpose of the Fifth Amendment is to allow a man or a woman to not have to testify against him- or herself, not their boss.

The Clinton aide was asked by the House Select Committee on Benghazi to testify about the server, as well as the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

Mark MacDougall, Mr. Pagliano's attorney, explained in a letter about his client's decision. "While we understand that Mr. Pagliano's response to this subpoena may be controversial in the current political environment, we hope that the members of the Select Committee will respect our client's right to invoke the protections of the Constitution," he wrote.

Pagliano was subpoenaed by the Benghazi committee on August 11th and the committee chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) ordered Pagliano appear for questioning on September 10th, and demanded he provide documents related to all servers or computer systems controlled or owned by Mrs. Clinton between 2009 and 2013.

Upon receipt of Rep. Gowdy's demand, Mr. Pagliano summarily wet his pants.

Pagliano was asked to oversee the installation of Clinton's [secret] server to handle her correspondence as secretary of state. He was paid by a political action committee tied to Hillary until April 2009, when hired by the State Department as an IT specialist.

Pagliano left government disservice in February 2013 and now works for a contractor that provides tech services to the State Department.

"I do what I want"
The Benghazi committee's ranking Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md) huffed and puffed that Gowdy subpoenaed Pagliano unilaterally in order to make Hillary look like a lying, incompetent, stale air bagel (see Urban Dictionary).

However, Ms. Clinton's competence is actually being a lying, incompetent, stale air bagel.

Although Clinton has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, isn't using a private server to do State Department business, whether classified or not [and if you think not, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you] absolute proof of her incompetence as a high-ranking government official?

What's most revealing about Hillary's character is her ability to allow others to "slow down the bus" with their their bodies before it rolls over hers.

Imagine how the Russians, North Korea and the Chinese are hoping she gets elected president. I even know an Ayatollah who has his bloody fingers crossed.

Breaking: the riot in Baltimore as it now stands

It's beginning to look like the future is going to be bright and lucrative for the race hustlers like Al Sharptongue and Jessie Jackson. They have Baltimore, MD to rev up the racial tension, and this is where they can rake in the big bucks.

The kids sent out a meme to "purge" after school, and purge they did. In fact, it's still going on as I am blogging this.

This follows the funeral of Freddie Gray, a 25 year old black man who 8 days ago, mysteriously died of a broken spine after being arrested, put into a police transport vehicle, and exiting the vehicle with a broken spine.

Even Elijah Cummings ( MD-D) attended the funeral, sounding more like an angry Rev. Jeremiah Wright than a US Senator. He's been in office since 1996 and is the poster guy for term limits.

Baltimore's mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, an idiot liberal, said that the protesters should have space to express their anger.

The big problem is that the investigation into the death of Mr. Gray is ongoing and this is angering the public more. One thing known is that he was put in that van unbuckled and given a rough ride. Heads should probably roll, but rioting and destroying property is uncalled for and must be stopped.

The police are vastly outnumbered and at times overwhelmed by the crowd of young people throwing bricks, bottles and whatever they can get their hands on to toss. At this time, there are 7 injured cops, one of whom is "unresponsive," according to the police. A number of arrests have been made, but more are sure to come as night approaches.

State police have been called in but the governor, Larry Hogan (R) refuses to declare a state of emergency and said that it is too soon to bring in the National Guard. He is obviously an idiot and should cross over to the Democratic party to increase their average IQ as well as the average IQ on the right side of the aisle by his leaving.

The Gray family attorney is calling for law and order, but there are rioters and looters who don't care about Freddie Gray and see this as an opportunity to burn stuff and steal whatever they can get from the small businesses they are looting. This is anarchy at its worst.

Let's hope and pray that law enforcement enforces the law and that tonight things will calm down.

Let's also hope and pray that justice is done in the case of Mr. Gray's death. The pubic needs and deserves answers.
